MBH/ MPistols/ CM 0004 / Medic 0410

I can heal for about 1300 points using healing efficiency clothes, med droid, and aitha.

I think Thyroid Rupture/Electrolyte Drain/Paralyze offsets the gain of healing efficiency. So without your droid and aitha you heal for about 800-900... That's not bad, but with it you can heal 1300.

It's more offensive and you have more options. Master Pistoleer does not have a snare, and with CM 0004 you get one.

Pistols are quicker and can be made with low SAC - 65 is capped. It can fire at insane rate.

The cons are you're always within saber throw range, as well as the jedi roots and snares. So yes, it's very up close and personal. Believe me, when you're getting pounded on by a 4th gen saber, there's nothing you'd want to do but run away. So it has it's ups and downs.

Gorax is ultra easy with a pistoleer template. Most nightsisters, etc... You can solo/kite most things.

The range is tough, and the damage not as high per shot, but over time, more.

It's all up to you and your style of gameplay. If you like getting up close and personal with your mark, then pistoleer is for you. If you just want to fire away conceal shot w/ a tusken rifle at the right moment, well.... then rifle-man is for you.

So yes, MBH/MPistols/CM - Whatever is a very viable template.

I'm trying to finish off my template and can't decide what secondary combat profession to take.

I tried carbines first, and found i didn't like the aoe on most carbineer attacks, so scrapped it for rifleman. I'm now getting close to mastering rifleman, but started thinking that if i did pistoleer instead, i could get the slicing line of smuggler and put all this loot i'm getting to some use.

If healing isn't an issue, how viable is mbh/pistols together?

Im MBH/MP/CM 4000 and enjoy this temp better than any. Pistols compliment MBH from a defensive standpoint (pistols have better def than carbs or rifles) With the right pistol (low SAC) and some good speed mods i think u would agree that it is a great temp. If u have any doubts, check out the pistoleer forum. Badger is 1 of the best correspondants out there and will prove to be more than helpful I'm sure.

Aye. My temp is MBH/MP/CM4xxx(Medic0410). As the above poster said, w/ the correct weapon, it works like a charm.

Im a Master Bounty Hunter / Pistoleer, I was preiviously a carbineer, but dropped it for pistols , the defense is awesome, and the ROF recon mitigation means with a decent attack speed pistol and low SAC, you can spam specials really fast, and become a lethal killer. This template is highly effective against jedi, and I would highly recommend it.

I switched from MBH/Msmuggler/Pistols0003 to MBH/Mpistols/CM4000 - and i love it. It was fun to be a smuggler, but aside from Last Ditch, Smuggler is pretty much a dead profession as far as combat is concerned. Very few decent accuracy/speed mods available in smuggler, so damage output is an issue.

I've been much more succesful with MPistols and cm4xxx - with the right foods and a good pistol, I take Mdef jedi with relative ease.

I went from MBH/MSmuggler/Pistoleer 4000 to MBH/MPistoleer/RIfleman 0003/medic 0020 and did well but the damage isn't adequet against the common FOTM Jedi, though I can last a long time against them to wear them out but it gets really old.

I honestly don't think you REALLY need CM, I did fine without CM, I did 60+ Jedi missions since publish 20 and tons were full temp and I killed most of them and a few draws. Oh and I love it when a bystanding Jedi that watched me kill the other Jedi say "go and get my mission" ... "Gee Mr. Jedi, I wish I could".

two choices (in my eyes)

MBH / MPist / Carbines 0440 (don't use the AOEs) - this gives you the ultimate kiting template with a better ranged KD, a snare, and a root. Plus it gives you the highest sustained damage output in the game (for ranged)with adv crit shot and imp leg shot. Crap loads of extra gen ranged acc for extra damage again. If you want to kite, or you are the kind of guy that doesn't like to heal... this is your template!

MBH / MPist/ CM 4000 - not much to say really.... just think MBH / MPist, but with 5 sec timer on stimpacs.... with Caf and a Booster blue I can take a CM heal every 10 seconds for as long as 6 min straight. That's 36k ham recovered.

MBH/MP/0404 SL

don't ask me how good it is for hunting Jedi because I haven't used it for a while to hunt. great defence for sure if that is what you are looking for but I think you need some CM or Doc in a template now.

I have MBH/MP/0004 CM and i love it...I would not suggest taking any smuggler may as well pay them to make stuff for you and with the new BH loot that will not be a problem so... most people take the 4000 of CM for the heals but i find i can healjust fine with out it and 0004 CM will reduce your need to heal anyway ..... also you have a counter root! witch is devastating for BH's paralyze is great when a jedi roots you and comes close hit paralyze and they cant unload on you! no healing needed, or very little anyway.

You know I had thought of doing this exact thing but with my carbines. So mine would be MBH, MCarb, CM 0004 to be able to get thyroid rupture, ED, and paralyze and lose the 50 points of healing efficiency but I wasn't sure how this would affect healing. Being able to heal good really helps but I'm trying to see if it's really worth losing it to just get paralyze and thyroid rupture.

Your thoughts?

My Heavy Lighting Rifle has a sac of 59 when Puped(damage is 1070 non sliced). + I can kite your sorry pistoler butt, so your defenses are meaningless.

Rifles have a larger movement reduction on them than pistols and Carbs, but they are better than a hvy weapon. Thus if 2 players with the same TN mods one with a pistol one with a rifle were to race, the pistoleer would beat them. SO no, you arent going to be kiting a guy hitting you stopping shot and running faster than you...not very well anyway. Int shot lowers your edge in damage as well. Don't get mewrong, rifles are great. But to think defense is meaningless is a bit short-sighted..even for a rifleman.
