Ok. I can now make these.

And I don't get it.

What's the problem with these?

I can make an ordinary Scope +19 accuracy, 10pt HAM cost.

Advaced: +30 (or so) Accuracy, 23pt HAM cost.

10 points better Accuracy, 10 point extra HAM hit.

Once I hit Master WS, those 3 extra experimentation points will bump up the Accuracy mod even more......

What's the problem?

My scopes are +44 ideal/+21 HAM, and I love them.

Try this. Make a normal scope, and max out the accuracy experimentation. Then make an advanced scope and max out the efficiency experimentations.
The non advanced scope will likely come out with more accuracy and less ham then the advanced scope.

Um.... yes.

If looking for an opimum Accuracy/HAM balance, then it would appear that the Basic Scope is better.

But only if you want about a +25 accuracymod.

+10HAM isn't exactly a huge hit for creater than +10 accuracy.

I also scope everything with my 0 ham scopes... its only +18 accuracy but with a 0 ham hit it is a no brainer.

hmm, my non-adv scopes are +12 or 13 accuracy, +1 ham.

adv scopes are like +42 accuracy, 20 ham I believe.

I stick non-adv scopes on just about anything I can. Adv. Scopes go onto a select few weapons. (dxr6 with +114 ideal range is nice)

I scope EVERYTHING with a basic +10 0HAM scope unless I really want to add more accuracy.

Max accuracy normal scope is I think 20-something accuracy and 10 HAM.

Adv scope with good materials can be experimented down to 3 HAM with 3-4 points left over to raise accuracy to +22.

HAM costs are a big deal since most customers don't seem to care about anything besides damage, speed, and HAM. If you sell weapons that have higher HAM with the same damage and speed, they'll get confused, and the ones who don't ask you about the stats will go away thinking your weapons suck because the HAM is too high.

Interesting. I've not gotten my advanced scopes up to anything near the 40's. I'll probably keep with the basics until some really decent resources come my way. As it stands now my advanced are +24 accuracy and +12 HAM. I'll play with my basic scopes a bit and see what I can come up with.

I usually include a notation of accuracy enhanced in the name of the weapon so that people understand that they're buying a scoped model. They still sell very well.

I'm thinking that with Buffs, Spices and Food the additional HAM costs are something that players are willing to deal with.

I'd *like* to think that, but I reckon my run of Enhanced E11 Carbines will scare people off (nasty nasty HAM):

Unsliced, Advanced Scope (Experimented for Accuracy), Advanced Stock (experimented for damage), Advanced Blaster Power Handler (experimented for Damage), Basic Rifle Barrel (Experimented for Damage). Can't make Advanced Rifle Barrels yet.

90-167dmg, 3,3 Spd.

-40/+41/-80 Accuracy

84/92/72 HAM

In retrospect, I could knock 40-50 off the HAM by changing to Basic scopes, experimented for Efficiency, and losing the Stock completely.

but the weapon would take a 20pt damage hit, and lost 15pts of accuracy.

I suppose that's the question: Is damage King, or will a high HAM frighten people away?

Damage is king. As a WS and a Master Rifle on my alt, I could care less what the HAM is on my rifles. I'm going to be buffed,2 shots of brandy and double canape anyway.

I don't think theHAM (at least for me) is a big issue, especially for Enhanced E11 or Mod Rep Blaster. Since I usually only use these to get a bleed & then switch to another weapon.
