Do you think there will be an icon on the screen that shows when you have a TEF after you used a Force Power so you know when it's safe to go AFK (and even then is it really safe)?

Do you think one of Vader's Lackies would come wipe you out when:

1.) The doorbell rings and you have to run downstairs to pick up the pizza...
2.) Your two kids start fighting in the other room and you have to go break them up (OMG I would feel really really sorry for them whoever they are if you come back and find yourself back at the character creation screen - they're gonna be grounded for months)...
3.) The dog is barking mad to take a walk outside...
4.) The dryer buzzes...
or any number of things I can imagine that tears you away from the Galaxy

I wonder if there is some provision built-in that can tell when you are at the keyboard and ready for Mara Jade or whoever to show up. I really hope so; otherwise we'd be logging out all the time even for just 2 min breaks.

This just hit me today when I was thinking that the only way a Jedi can be bested in single combat is for him to be AFK.

You fail to realize that people who will become jedi will not have:

dogs

wives

children

washer and dryers

or more than one change of clothes at that

their food will be slid under the door as their credit card will be paid online

i was a power player.. but i took a look at what i was doing... playing 8 hours a day sometimes more.. then a voice came in my head screaming.... "ITS JUST A GAME!!!" or was it my girlfriend ahah but anyways.. i enjoying playing only 1 every other day maybe more on sundays.

but too t\the original post yes that would be cool if u could just stop the game.. but i don't think that will happen.

I hate generalizations.

Anyway, it is suppose to be a tough experience, you'll just have to get used to logging on and off alot.

I think it would be worth it after all the trouble you've gone through to even get the slot.

It takes 30 seconds to /sit /logout and be safe. I believe we've already explained why you'll be 24/7 PVP (with proof) and why there wont be any TEF status at all...

30 seconds on the logoff timer is plenty to kill someone

as is the time before they disappear

at one point a couple weeks ago, my wife logged off in a cantina, i went back into it about an hour later and she was still sitting there

the only safe way to assure you're not killed by going afk is to be on until the server reset =P

I disagree, they fixed recently the /logout command, everytime i asked someone to remember if my character dissapeared right after i did/logout, they said i had...

Aye... Jedi's don't always have TEF's or bounties.

I wonder though if once you are 'visible' you remain visible forever or it lowers again if you don't use your powers.

Don't know if this is on topic or not, but can someone direct me to a post or tell me how the TEF's work for the Jedi, is it only when a power is used or when the light saber turns on. Also, what about the bounties, what do you need to do for a bounty to be put out?

Thanks, and sorry for not staying on topic but I read those two things in the thread and it made me wonder.
