Well spoken Ironfox!! I agree that if someone has spent the time and energy to master a high combat profession, there is no reason they shouldnt be able to respec MBH. However, its' best not to ask dumb questions. If you are a noob BH, just look it up in the forums. And no matter what you do, you still have to get good at it. It doesnt just happen all by itself.

/shrug. Never say never. I remember the Dev's flat-out, no doubt about it, saying there would NEVER be any kind of player bounties.
Couldn't be farther from the truth.2 years ago one of the MAJOR selling points of the game is that there WOULD be player bounties made available!

A bounty hunter does what again??? Oh yeah, hunts bounties, meaning the goal is not to search for the bounty and then go "Oh Tag, your it" and leave...but shoot and kill the bounty. For money. Credits. Its a way of living. Do you think Boba Fett ever hunted down a mark, found them already engaged in a fight, and then said, "I dont want to be called unfair, I'll wait till he/she is done fighting, let them heal, and then I'll give them a fair fight." I think not. Boba would've probably killed the mark AND whatever it was his mark was fighting so it wouldn't be able to claim the Deathblow or identify Boba Fett as the BH who killed the mark.
Yes, I think it sucks that Jedi lose a ton of xp when they are killed, and it will suck once i finally reach Jedi but I'll deal, but that is the risk they take for fighting in public. (Yeah I know, its impossible to gain xp solo...Ive heard all the excuses before and even agree with some of them) But remember, being a jedi in these times is SO DIFFICULT even Yoda, the most powerful Jedi of the time (dont flame me about Anakin or Luke, Luke isnt a Jedi yet and Anakin is a SITH right now ) had to go into hiding.Yet blaming a BH for doing his job, (by the way starting your battle with a jedi when he is already weak is NOT an exploit, its a Dirty way of fighting...gee isnt that one of the BH skill branches? ), or calling him a cheater is, well its funny actually. It happened in my group when I was grinding away during double xp week. I was grouped with 5 jedi. Now come on...5 jedi in a group, you dont expect to attract even the slightest bit of attention?? So a BH came up and attacked a CL 70ish Jedi and killed him while we were killin rontos on Tat. Ya I was mad, but not because he was doin his job... it was cause our killing rate rose from 1 ronto every 3 seconds to 1 every 5....dang it I NEED TO GRIND FAST! =P Annnyways..to make a long story longer... All the other Jedi started taunting him...saying they were gonna put him on ignore... why dont you pull my name up on the terms...blah blah blah blah blah...so he did...and killed 2 more jedi. And they complained each time. He wasnt even taunting them after the kill..just walked up, shot, killed, ran to the term..rinse repeat. Now if it was me, I couldnt resist a little taunting... but he had more class than me and fought with as much honor as a Bounty Hunter can be expected to have.
He was just doin his job, and these jedi just cant and never will understand that. The funny thing is, they were all Dark Imperial Jedi...and they were whining about the Bounty Hunter "ruthlessly" killing...kind of strange comin from their mouths isn't it??

Tanks first off thank you for this. I have 2 up and coming bounty hunters in my guild and frankly it is nice to be able to send him to this link for info.
I for one think Perma Death should be institued. but a kinda pseudo perma death. Drop the xp lossa dn maybe add in the pseudo perma death where if the Jedi dies 3 times in a 1 week period he is unable to use force powers and or light his Baloney Slicer of Doom for a week.
Or another way that was brought up is have the bounty hunter 'collect his lightsaber' after he is face down in the dirt. I think it would be a great conversation piece at cocktail parties. I realize that jedi can drop these out like rabits drop babies but having a Jedi lose his precious precu saber and have it turned into a trophy on my wall might be entertaining. This way the Bounty Hunter can hold tropheies of his kills.
Also I would like to see a in space bounty kill sometime soon. if jed the sabe freak is in space it would bbe niceto be able to go after them in space and toast them. Saw a known jedi in space yesterday flying his little tier 1 fighter around. I so wish I could have fired a shot at him with my BWing...
Alot of bounty Hunters in my guild are Precu boys. Most of us rarely hunt jedi unless one is
a) schmuck
b) doing there little song and dance outside CNET with about 10 other jedi
c) braggarts....(see a)
BTW a addon to tank's walkthrough....
If your hunting a jedi you might end up with more than one probe bot used if the jedi decides to goto a different planet.

I just want everyone who gripes about respec'd BHs to know that I spent a whole 2 hours grinding to Master Image Designer. Then I remembered I was in the respec phase and decided I wanted to be MBH. So, I respec'd from MID to MBH with the sole intention of hunting and killing low level padiwans because I hate Jedi! lol Just playing about the hate, its nothing personal... I just think its ridiculous for every 3rd or 4th person to be FS... and no less than half of the ppl that pvp are Jedi.
I'd love to see some recent statistics on the percentages of players, by server, belonging to each profession. And then also the percentage of the population, by server, that is FS. I think that would shed alot of light on the situation.

I SECOND THAT! start a thread asking for that and i'll sign it as would the entire playerbase just out of curiosity if nothing else.
but they'd also have to show us the figures of profs sorted by the hours played to give any meaning to the numbers. (to help sort out all the alts people have but hardly play)

OK...I'm new to the forums, but not the game. I am a master bounty hunter on Scylla. I can see that people have legitimate frustrations with both professions.

Are you serious i mean come on your nota jedi so u dont have to worry about anything Bh is the most intense profession swg has to offer and if you dont like we do then thats your problem and that has got to be the most nubish most cry babiest post yet great job pal

On my server, the Jedi outnumber the BH's...Jedi are here to stay, in fact at this rate the only non-Jedi will be noobs in another year. Jedi will then be hunting each other as either light or dark. That's already happening on my server with factioned Jedi. Btw, the Devs play Jedi, in case you didn't already know. Some of them on my server in fact.
I say take away experience loss for Jedi, and give MBH's easier access to Mandalorian armor and Jetpacks. Even the odds up more, and Jedi will fight back, and MBH's won't come to the boards complaining about safehouses. At this point it's worth a shot, with all the hate going around.

Also because the many wide-dramatic changes that were made to several of the professions made giving those professions a chance to change to a different profession only fair. I dont mind respec BH's or helping them out. This is a game. I roleplay my BH as a serious guy, but I want everybody to have fun playing because it makes the game more fun for me.
