Hey all, im looking for a few good templates.
1. First off im looking for a great PVE template, something that can help me own those dathomir rancore/night sister missions. Or even be a BIG help to the DWB. I would like a pve so i could go into the geo caves and sell some supplies to some people.
2. I would also like a good PVPtemplate so i would be a useful player to my faction. (is their any gun profession thats good for pvp? mostly its all melee)
3. I would like to know if there is a profession that is both good at PVE and PVP. So i can do both. Or at least be in the middle.
Currently im working on master rifleman (since the uber jawa ion with krayt tissue/sliced and upgrades
) Any good professions to go with that?

Well if you want to be a help in DWB and PvP, I'd suggest Master SL Master Rifles and dabble either 4 boxes in TK (0301 for def vs states and a little melee and ranged def) or fencer (4000 gives you 143 ranged and like 111 melee defense) Sure you won't be able to solo PvP, but with a group you are pretty dam useful... the melee defenses should keep you alive for long enough to get some support if things get hairy, and spamming Retreat as a master SL means your teammates are pretty much unkitable.
Go to www.bloodfin.org and download the profession calculator... that way you can see your final stats and stuff without all the complicated math. Makes it easier to pick a template IMO. Good Luck

Self proclaimed best Pike pvp template:
Master Pike (speed/accuracy capped)
4400 Fencer
3040 Doctor
With the mind fire, and ranged defense / kd dizzy defense/ block AAs, its a great tank in pvp

Depends on what your after if its uber pvp then I have not much of a clue but fencertk pistol 004/0 seems to be a high choice
to have, or you could just go with what you feel is good fun for you.
Ask yourself
Do I want ranged?
do I want melee?
Ranged then rifleman is good pve and pvp, carbs is a good support role
Melee then defence line of pistol tk with fencer for pvp, anything with sword or tk is good pve
But I will say that alot of profs are good pvp if you know what your doing, my advice is pick one that
you will enjoy and not because it's fotm, if your really after a change then you could try BH you can fight
mid level npc easily and there viable pvp,

that would be good too. combine the melee dominance of swordsman, with the defensive abilities of a fencer, and use the rifles for ranged combat.

agreed not only the best pike pvp template but one of the best in game the best melee for sure but doc 4030 not 3040

nifty template:
master pike/rifle
0040 pistoleer
0140 medic
195 block
80 def vs blind
90 def vs dizzy
70 def vs knockdown
50 def vs posturedown
30 def vs postureup
100 def vs stun
that is just natural defenses, add in tapes/food/clothing and you have quite the fighter (2 melee def +4/ def vs stun +16 BE clothing pieces and that tkm will be sitting there spamming stun hit for a long time)

Old Pikeman Template:
Master Pikeman
TKM
0040 Pistoleer
3000 Fencer
The above Template wasn't bad in group PvP since Pike = crowd control
In PvE it was really good, but the lack of Medic was a downfall.
I switched to:
Master Pikeman
4304 TKA
Master Brawler
0040 Pistoleer
2000 Fencer
The above Template is PvP was about the same as the above, but Intimidate2 made Jedi knights fairly easy to solo.
I am switching atm (after reopening my Pikeman):
Master Pikeman
Master Swordsman
Master Brawler
4304 TKA
or might drop to 4003 TKA and pickup Novice Medic.
This template is PURE PvE, since Swordsman makes it so I can damage Elders.
Wearing 90% Composite, and a sliced Imp PSG I hope to be able to tank anything in this game myself PvE wise

Yeah my template is: master brawler, master pikeman, 4440 fencer, 4304 tka, 0040 swordman... i have yet to find the mob that can stop me, or the player really....
Pro: very high def, hight block counter and dodge, resiliant to PvP tricks
Cons: they pull a gun and i hafta rush em before they run (lol... grrr for gunman)
dunno the def stats off hand, butu can imagine
