Thread: Is this bannable offence?
give him back his money.
Dont grief. It fills you with darkness
I suppose I could have just asked someone ingame to see if its bannable or not. But I wanted to share this with the BH community and see what they think about it, as its one of my few hunts worth sharing. Seems that even jedi here agree with me on this.
As someone already said, there is no rightway for doing your job as a BH. Some jedi will harrass you no matter what you do. One of his friends even came telling me they have no reason to fight us etc....later on this same guy is calling me a coward asking me to get his mission. Go figure.

Yes indeed. But they chose to stay there and harass me with tells instead.

No, I'm not kidding. Every contract has to have a time clause. If you don't stipulate the time limit of the contract then you are free to interpret it as best benefits you.
wrong.
All contracts are written in terms of forever.
The only time a contract will not last forever is when there is a time clause stipulating a length of time a contract will be inplace. So therefore the only time you will see a time clause on a contract is when it is for a set period of time.
First off....the followup was correct. For a contract to NOT have a set time, it must say "in perpetuity."
Secondly....I don't think it is bannable NOR do I think it was an attempt to DEFRAUD. The Jedi was pissed because he got DB'd. It was not a moral action....but, no one ever accused a Bounty hunter of being moral. A triple incap would have been a better way to not violate the spirit of the deal.
Thridly....IF something does come from it, I would suggest that you report the Jedi for violating the LAW by attmepting to BRIDE you. Bribery, in most states, is defined as: n : the practice of offering something (usually money) in order to gain an illicit advantage and is quite illegal.
Fouthly....GOOD SHOW! I would have done it too.
If Jedi dont wanna be killed, why are they made of money and smell like XP loss?
Silly jedi's they try to buy me off, i jack the price than beat the stupid out of them and get my mission money.
/addignore is my best friend at that point.

no ones gonna read this cause its so far back but...
its actuily "illegal" to offer the reward to the BH.......
its also illegal to purposly get somones mission
and to "target" a jedi in anyway (more then 1 BH on 1 at the same time)
and to be payed to get somones mission...
pretty much all the things that should be legal, arnt.
Not accurate!
#1) It is illegal for the Jedi to attempt to BRIBE the BH....see that above post.
#2) It is NOT against any rule, written or implied, to get a specific person's mission.
#3) It is NOT against any rule, written or implied, to get multiple BHs after a single Jedi. There is a reason that up to 5 BHs can get the mission at once. So that BHs can hunt Jedi in groups.
#4) It is NOT against any rule, written or implied, the have JoeSchmoe at the Theed Starport to say that a Jedi pissed him off and offer me 250k to go get his mission from the terminals and hunt him down. In fact, this is a large part of the SPIRIT of the BH role.
*On a personal note, we have the coolest guy in Theed on Chilastra. He runs 2 accounts. One stands in Theed and spams the area in front of the Starport with the names of all the AFK Jedi in each Ryyatt Instance and their instance number!!!! The otheraccount...and a few guildies...run the trails about every 30 minutes and update who is actually left in each one! This is the coolest thing ever in the history of ROTW! Finally a solution to the Ryyatt trails AFK crap!*

Actually you are wrong also. It has been stated many times by CSR's and the Devs at fanfest that this is not illegal. Neither is bh's extorting money for not db'ing. WhileI disagree with both cases as of now it's "working as intended" so we all play by these rules.
As for the original topic, as stated before, yes it is illegal. You misrepresented your intentions to defraud the Jedi of credits. That's almost word for word the definition of fraud in the TOS. So you can argue all you want and say what you "think" it should be, but at the end of the day it was illegal and it's in the CSR's hands now.
