10hrs is a total load, you can do the math yourself (you need to know the amount of xp and how much xp you will get per mission) or you can check out the:

Investigation FAQ

There is a great breakdown of the whole thing here. Basically it says that it will take anywhere from 114 - 221 hrs to complete investigation. This means that if you only play like 3hrs a day (mostly what I do except on weekends) it will take youlike 74 days to finish all of investigation (this is the absolute worst case scenario). On the other hand if you play like 10hrs a day it can take you from 11 to 22 days to complete.

It took me quite awhile to get all my Invest XP. Almost every one of my Novice missions were down from either Tyrena or Mos Eisley, withquite a few marksat NE part of the map near a player city. It took less than 20 minutes if I hit the shuttles right on those NE marks. The rest I had to run or ride through the terrain to get to him. I did not go buffed on these. I died once (switched to wrong weapon toolbar).

I stopped at 8K and did 2 missions at Invest 1, then trained Invest 2. I also went out looking for every SpyNet guy I could find and purposefully put off training in Invest 3 for a few days, while still running Invest 2 missions so I could check certain SpyNet guys out. List is in my sig.

When I got Invest 3, I continued to run missions to every location given. I only cancelled out 4 of these as the mark ended up drowning or disappeared in a city. I went all around looking for him but the seeker kept updating the same spot in Restuss.

I sliced one base twice. Tried a third time, but missed the vulnerable time. That was an interesting fight. Went in unbuffed with another player and after clearing away everyone outside, went in and saw the terms were gone. Oh well. I ran two more NPC missions and I was a MBH.

10 hours? I do not know of anyway he got all of it done in 10 hours. After getting Invest 2, maybe if he bribed an opposite faction member to get a large number of bases vulnerable times and they were all close to each other and had vulnerable times close together also. Then if he had Jedi friends giving away their lives for the last box.

All of it in 10 hours, Nope. If anyone has done that, please post how you did it. We would all like to see how you accomplished this.

slice PvE bases when you've gotten inv 2. gives you 1000 xp per base.

For those of us that are not those n00bs that just Respec their character and cheat to get Master Bounty Hunter (Then moan when they get killed not realising they haven't even begun to find out how to be a BH) whats a reasonable way to get some decent Bounty Hunter XP? Because 100XP per mission is just ridiculous...

Go on base raids, you get 1K xp for slicing the terminal in a base raid, but you may have to have invest 2 for that.

Anyone have a faster way to get xp than the crappy 500 xp missions or the slicing the uplinks, cause its harder for me to go around looking for bases then it is to do the long missions. Just looking for some advice on what i should be doing thanks =)

Talk to your guild and assemble a base raid team, crack a few bases a day up till invest III. Once at invest III the BH prof opens up in my opinion, only using 1 or 2 droids/mission and the wp is constantly updated, yes you will need 10K BH i think it is for invest 3 and 18K for invest IV but once you reach tier 3 BH gets interesting, nice loot, low lvl boss mission etc etc.

For me, the best things i actually looted where when i was grinded up to tier 2, got a few decent jedi ca's, they are all decent to grind, until you get to lvl 4, which is a pain.

I don't know why people complain that invest takes so long.

I just grinded the whole invest tree in less then a week and didn't slice one base.

Instead of hanging around the forums asking for an easier way....get out and do missions...its not that hard, and you get good loot.
I was shocked how easy invest was and can't believe that people think that it is difficult. Invest 1..easy, invest 2...takes some time, but invest 3 and 4 is a cakewalk.

lol im grinding inves 3 as i write this, just wondering if i am missing something and at times i find it hard to go out into the middle of the plannet where the guy just keeps poping 2000m away. Anyway i guess i should probably just stick to missions where he is on a planet that has alot of shuttles.

just try to stay away from Yavin and Dath as the marks spawn like 4-7k from the shuttle most of the time
