    I can't get on board with this one at all. A bounty isn't a contract like a smugg mission would be. The BH terminals are like the SW version of checking the wanted posters at the post office. You take down the mark and deliver proof of the kill to the grieved party and collect your reward. Until you actually contact the offerer he wouldn't even know that you were on the job so how would a failure place you on the terminals? Doesn't make sense to me....










welcome to swg. And jedi hunting with other jedi means instant visibility, as if my brother would rat me out in under 5 seconds. Nothing in this game makes much sense, its all for the sake of entertainment.

Because this game is all about Jedi. That is why they will NERF Roof and Snare and the things Tanks talked about.


The game has come down to Content you do with your Jedi and Content you do when you don't want to play your Jedi.

And how are you suppose to know who you are hunting if you can't see the name, and who on earth would accept a mission without knowing how much they would get paid.


If they plan to make BH vs Jedi absolutely one on one then the Jedi need to be nerfed further or we need some increase in ability, it is not possible to win against a full templated Jedi who knows what they are doing solo.

the reason im not grinding towards jedi is because in the next expansion you will get a free unlocked paddy as a "veteran's reward"....i wouldnt be suprised.

ha...actually that would...i mean should be a 2 year vet reward for all accounts that have been active since launch as we have shown more patience then luke did when he was training with yoda!

I will say one thing....I alwyas wondered if Tanks knew how helpless and insignificant the BH community felt most of the time. I guess this proves he does know how it feels.

- Not a good idea because of the next point. If you don't know what level Jedi your hunting, could hurt the dabblers with CL below 80.

- Totally disagree, add the last 2 and don't take away the first 2.

- I like this, but guess what - Alot of the BH are going to go after smugglers instead of Jedi. Why go after someone that is 1.5 times stronger than you, when you can go after someone your level.

Bad ideas for the most part, really favors Jedi. I would support the 1vs1 battles if Jedi were on the same level as BH.








Just my opinion -
With SWG many players became emotionally attached to the characters over 2 and a half years. They built a community, a group of friends/enemies, and some even married. They owned homes and businesses, had hopes and dream and goals. To me that sounds like real life, and to many it was their life, the life they always dreamed of living

1 vs. 1 missions is the worst idea I've ever heard. I enjoy hunting in groups, and its almost a necessity vs. high level Knights.

I'm a full template Jedi Knight, and would like to add my own personal observations to the above.


Ihave been on the terminalsfor a very long time. My first BH visitin the last six weeks came yesterday, and the guyeven "apologized" for picking me,saying I was the only Jedi online and he had no other choice!! Yet, guildmates who made Padawan after CU have been grinding in groups because solo experience is too slow. Most of them were attacked by BH on the same day or the day after they went on terminals.


The rampant bottom feeding that is going on at the expense of Padawans is disturbing other game balances, like the net experience gain rate that the average Padawan can expect. The aboveideas by the devscan fix that. The addition of non-Jedi PC marksshould reduce the total number of Jedi missions actually being undertaken per hour, and the Jedi missions undertaken will be more evenly spread among full template Jedi and Padawans because of the anonymity: it's no longer going to be "the easier you are to kill, the more your mission gets picked", it will be "the more vis you have, the higher the chance of your mission getting picked". This would fix the bottom feeding and relieve a lot of the pressure Padawans are feeling, allowing them to gain exp at a reasonable rate in groups and on the terms.


In my sig I have links to two posts I made long ago, titled "A Silver Bullet: Jedi Anonymity on BH Terminals" and "NO VISIBILITY FOR GROUPED JEDI". If devs actually go ahead at some point in the not too distant future and implement the anonymity ideas, it might fix the grinding experience for Padawans. In that case,therewould be no need to change the visibility rules for grouping.

Boy, did they open the wrong can of worms...


I've waded through all the bugs and exploits. I worked to find ways around the /logout bug. I devised a system to make the broken geocave spawn a lot less of a picnic for jedi who hid in there all day. I stood firm and held on to my ranged MBH template when it was the biggest joke of a PVP template there was, and I found ways to become lethal despite how gimped I was in PVP. I even stood by and defended the CURB and even talked a few of my friends into not quitting even when their cursor was literally on the "cancel" button. But this! This is just a huge clusterfook in the works.


"wishlist"? For whom? Certainly not the Bounty Hunters. Bounty Hunters being sent on lone hunts to take down master defenders? I've heard it can be done, but I have yet to see any indication that this is possible. What about Guardians or higher? How are they going to justify making a bounty hunter strong enough to take out a Templar or Consular? Or.... are they planning on making it so that once a jedi reaches a certain level he's immune from Bounty Hunter "nuissances"? Of course, the nuissances will keep coming anyway if we are unable to determine who/what level of mark we take. Well, they'll come for a while, anyway... If successive failed missions lands a hunter on the terminals and I am sent after a jedi I can't handle by myself a few times, it's only going to be a matter of time before I stop taking missions. It's only shooting myself in the foot. I imagine that a lot of hunters will feel the same way and soon there will be nothing but jedi left on the game. At this point, why not just start a different game and call it "Rise of the Jedi" or something? Every character could start as a padawan and work their way up to Master or whatever. In the meantime, let those of us who have no desire to become jedi remain non-jedi and still be able to have fun.
