Thread: BH GETS TO MUCH LOVE BRING BACK THE BALANCE
the problem is though the more jedi that are in the game and the easyer it is to get to jedi and grind to full template (anyone who was here whenpermadeath and saber tefwas aroundknow it was A LOT harder) cant justify thier power. jedi shouldnt have even been put in this game in the first place.alpha classes are bad for all MMORPG.also force pvp between bh and jedi is part of the game you cant argue against it. when you agree to the terms and agreement before you can even log in to play the game, you agree to forced pvp in the jedi vs bh system. i gotta also agree if i had a jedi id much rather have a 500-600+ min dmg lightsaber (since min dmg matter more then max dmg) and armor break then a 1100 plus gun. if the devs fxed some bugs jedi be a lot stronger. asking for nerfs of another profession instead of pushing to getting the jediprofession fixed is not the answer.

This post is probaly one of the smartest thing Ive heard all day, I may not like the idea of jedi being in the game period, but, I do agree with the fact that they are more powerful then most CL80s that is the way it was that is the way it should be, but...................what I dont agree with is taking away the right of a BH to get in a group with, lets say 5 other BHs, and take on a jedi with whatever skills he/she has perfected, from what I have heard that was taken away because some jedis complained too damn much about the fact he just got beaten by 6 BHs. Now instead of a loss shouldnt that be a win? I mean if it takes 5-8 guys to take out 1 player Id consider myself a hard ass, I mean if the player was that hard to take down with 5 or 6 ppl what makes you think that your run-of-the-mill, respec Bh will attempt that jedis mission again. (I said that only because most people on my server, just respec investigation, just to farm as much loot as he can to make money then dump it to become jedi). Lets say your a football player okay, when it takes 5 ppl to take you down do you complain, no if anything that puts outreputation,as in dont mess with this guy you will lose. Now if this sounds confusing in anyway please let me know so I can reiterate
It doesnt take 6 to take on 1 jedi mate, even before they nerfed the bh. The problem was more towards the point of griefing. Specific bh were attacking padiwans and nothing more. A bh in my guild use to specialize in doing padi's and nothing else. Yes, a jedi should not be on the terms, with this I agree, but with the state of the game today, there is no place that one can hunt in solitude. Its just not possible. Prior to the CU, alot of players would stay way from dathomir(well up until about 4 or 5 months before cu hit). This allowed jedi to hunt here a little more safely.
When the village was instituted towards the end and just before CU, this made it impossible for jedi to do this. You have sith groups hunting all over the place now(both pc and npc). This makes it impossible to hunt. Endor isnt possible because of the grind groups there for sith quests and the DWB npcs that spawn all over. The problem was that SOE added more content which was sorely needed, but at the same time of doing this, they limited the areas that could be hunted by jedi.

Many, many things are wrong with this post from DoctorFett. First is the assumption that Jedi and BHs are supposed to be BALANCED. Full Temp Jedi, as stated by the Devs are SUPPOSED to be 1.5x stronger than a CL80. Second, is the assumption that all Jedi have cloak. Third is the assumption that we can attack a BH with cloak. We cannot attack a BH until the BH attacks first, thus initiating the TEF. Finally his use of some childish "look at me" font size and color.
My friend, please do not speak of things which you do not know. As for the original poster's remarks, I say this; He is clearly frustrated and arguably, his frustration is justified. Forgive him if he came here to these forums to vent. It is not that he is truly angry with BHs. He is just angry at what once was a strong profession, is now a laughing stock. Jedi, as a whole, and with the only possible exceptions being pre-CU Jedi with perfect sabers, have become cattle.
It may not be pleasant for some BHs to hear, but there is truth to his remarks. Jedi do not have the max damage nor the DPS that BHs do. In most cases it is HALF of what a BHs with a good rifle can output. Jedi saber speed has been acknowledged by the Devs as being broken. Our sabers ONLY perform at the base speed not the modded speed. Jedi speed CAs are also broken. Jedi (MDEF notwithstanding) do not have the defenses of BHs. Jedi also do not have the healing power of the now standard BH/CMs. One must admit that this is a sorry state for a profession that was STATED to be 1.5x stronger than a CL80.
To anyone who views MY post as a whine, I remind you that I am not complaining. I am merely stating the facts presently. If the truth somehow wounds some BHs fragile "I am uber" egos, I apologize. Lastly, before ANYONE tells me to go post on "my own" forums, check my sig. I have two accounts. I've been BH since Pub 7 and killed more Jedi when BH was hard, than most of you younglings have, period.

1st I didnt say they could attack while in cloak, I know they cant attack while in cloak
2nd If the DEVs wanted jedi to be 1.5x stronger than a CL 80 why the hell did they put them in the game. All " the jedi prof" has done has caused nothing but problems, If jedi were not in this game half of these threads that r in this forum wouldnt even exist. Yea I know what your gonna say, blah blah blah the gcw wouldnt be nothing without jedi blah blah blah, Ive herd it from every forum ive been in. But let me ask you this, When once in the movies, Books, comic books, or EU in general do you here a group of 50 jedi defending a rebel base during an Imperial raid? This whole thread only pushes the issue of completly removing jedi from the game. That is my opinion not fact flame if you must but it wont mean anything to me!
Wow.....look jedi is are stronger thenalmost every normal template. Alot of newer jedi like to whine on bounty hunter froums for nerfs to bounty hunters. Why do you feel we should get nerfed? Jedi was way to over powered back then. When I saw 5 BH get killed so fast, it seemed very dumb to me. Now that we are toe to toe with you guys all you do is whine. Personally, 2 on 1 is normally more than enough to take down the jedi, with the exception of a few jedi who are just masters at pvp. 5 on 1 was just plain overkill. Easy marks for the bh to make quick cash and nothing more. Dont get me wrong, I dont think having multiple bh on a jedi is wrong, but I do think it should be limited based upon the level of the jedi.
This is why we need to see more actual 'BH content'...ie BH Themepark or a BH centralized xpansion maybe, just so we dont have to feel like sheep when it isbecoming VERY overcrowded on what was once THE Elite hunts or planets.
The last real BH update gave us the Jedi PC missions. They are revamping each profession one at a time, it probably wont be for another 6mo to a year b4 BH see the dawn of another patch.
TOW should have something for BH and elite professions....guess we will see.
In combat, it is balanced, but I think Padawans have no right to be in our crosshairs (IMO) 9 times out of 10 it is too easy....they are like a novice profession, personally I wouldnt want a big bad BH coming after my novice marksman.
