look its pretty simple here folks.



Fix the bugged Gold Chevron marks, the rest are still decent strength, not too hard, not super easy, but those not so rare anymore gold chevron mobs that are BUGGED (NO NOT THE UNBUGGED ONES) are WAY more frequent. I mean seriously **edit**. I can put up with the damn inventory / trade bug that has plagued us since LAUNCH, I can put up with warrens being a logistical nightmare when trying to get through it because of all the latency issues, I can put up with a lot, but at what point do you think your customers are going to quit "putting up" with this kind of non thought out change like SL, and Jedi, or lying to us, like telling us the Jedi system is unique, in game (cough, right, just magically 4 months into release all the sudden they were never finished) before they finally say FU and move on to another game.



The problem here isnt just the gold boss mob bug, the problem here isnt the mass un-investigated sweep bannings, the issue here is that your game is in a CONSTANT state of flux and you never do what you need to do to stop that from happening. Eventually you will get people sick of it, just like in beta when we TOLD YOU not to launch and you didnt listen, just like in EQ2 beta, when we TOLD YOU not to launch and you didnt listen, when are you going to start listening? Expansions arent what people want before they have a stable enviornment to play in. think about it.

I haven't had a chance to read the majority of this thread, only the opening post. That said, here are my observations on the <<Boss>> marks I've encountered since the new publish.


First of all, my equipment. I am wearing 6453 energy/kinetic resist battle armor, with a first level of AB slicing, as I don't care to use my nicer RIS against NPCs. My scatter pistol is fairly nice, however, 371 - 948 damage, 65 SAC, 1.83 attack speed, 359.31 DPS, un-PuPed. The foods I use are Mandalorian Wine, Crispic, Dodge Pie, Thundercloud, Bofa Treat and Booster Blue.


I am an MBH/MCM/Pistols 0004. First I get out my 110medical rating/combat droid. My basic strategy has been to get about 8m out, paralyze them, and lay the thyroid rupture and electrolyte drain states on them. Then I try to use deuterium toss (with enhancer), and if it sticks I immediately command my droid to start its attack as well. Then I will either try to KD or root them and back off, then use a neurotoxin (with enhancer) on them. For the remainder of the fight I try to kite as best I can, keeping them rooted when possible, snared always, and KDing them when my roots wear off. I occasionally use a stim in with my other heals (primarily bacta-jab) to keep my mind up even more, while alternating between Adv. Critical shot and Improved Torso shot. When the DoTs drop, I reapply them.


I have encountered 5 Boss marks since the new publish, 3 of which had less than 30k HAM, and thus I feel are not a part of this thread. Those fights all took under 2 minutes, and I could have easily just stood still and shot at them while healing for the win. Of the other 2, both were a bit above 34k HAM. The first one I encountered I fought unprepared, and went to the cloner. When I realized how signifigantly things had changed, I went back with a droid, food buffs, and tactics, and started the fight again. Though it lasted 15 minutes I did eventually come out with the win, although it most certainly can do a lot of damage to you especially if it gets in an armorbreak. The second went a lot smoother, since I knew what I was up against and how it fought, my mind bar was actually totally full at the end of the fight though it still took about 15 minutes.


On a personal note, I like the new difficulty they present, as I think they will make our high-end BH loot more rare and thus perhaps a bit more valuable again, but I realize a community concensus must be reached and it seems the general opinion thus far is against the change. I would be 100% in favor of it if we were guarenteed nicer loot from these guys, since they do chip away almost 4k condition from my armor every time I face one.


The only other addendum I have is that for anyone who doesn't check the health of a mark first, and is lumping any double gold <<Boss>> they run into in the same category, there is a world of difference.

Master Bounty Hunter


Master Combat Medic (Tried with Master Rifleman too I have the 3 free weeks of respec)


Pistols xxx4 (When I was MRifles, I was CM 4xxx)



Both times the mobs were 32k HAM double gold chevron marks. My gear is as follows:



Ubese Sliced with 75% armour break reduction. 7k Energy, 5k Kin, 6k rest, my PSG is 2101 100% effectiveness witha 45 second recharge rate.


my two weapons are a maxed cap featherweight, and HLC. both sliced for 10% crit.



Using the MBH MR CM4xxx template and a doctor healing me the fight lasted about 15 minutes before I was dead, I could never break the mob below 31k ham. He was regenning about 1k per tick, and doing 1k damage per hit.



My next double gold chevron elite, I used the MBH MCM Pistols xxx4 template, the fight lasted 20 minutes, same as before, only I had the healing to keep up and didnt die, I had to run. But with a full debuff, dot and hitting my crit shots I was only able to get him to 30k, but could not break him past that point and I had to mez and run.



EDIT: wanted to add, Silver Chevron marks are fun, they are harder, no longer just a walk in the park but still not a I might win or lose, the gold chevron mark, I agree should be really hard, but I do not think a mission that is meant to be solo (Why else would they make the mark unattackable by anyone else but the BH) should ever be uncompletable. I have a friend who said he has gotten none of the gold chevron mobs as hard as the ones he saw me fighting, so I think some are bugged, I guess im just the unlucky one who got 2 gold chevron marks in a row, both unbeatable.

My 4hour night with ONE boss(gold chevron)mark! Level 81 36.5k Health

Ok so I pick up a bounty in Kaadra on naboo. It is a 31k payoout level 80 Elite slicer mission. I track him and find him on corellia right inside Doaba Guerfel, right next to the bank.

He is a level 81 mark with the gold Boss marks next to his name. When i get there he is already shooting at several imperial NPCs that are around him and am thinking to myself 'cool maybe ill get some help with this guy'. Wrong I am! He had 5 Imperial NPCs dead in the time it took me to get my foods in me and get in position 65 meters away and in prone position, I always do when starting out with any BH mark.

So I open fire on him under cover and shoot him a few times with cover shot before he saw me and then proceeded to open fire on him with sniper shot. Well let me tell you I have been in this game a very long time and have NEVER had a battle like this. I am using ruby bliel and stim combo trying to time it just right to get the full effect and all from them and using bacta spray enhancers in between when needed. Well after a very long battle in which his health was after some time regenerating much faster then I could take it down I lost that battle. I also lost 6 more times after that. Each time the battle lasted around 30 or so minutes where I would get him down to around 10k health and end up losing in the end.

I just could not keep up with it in the end with action and mind costs(well mostly action,I always had more then enough mind) and my drink bar filling up so taking awaymy use of ruby bliel.No matter what I did I was NOT going to win this fight solo.

So finaly I have to round up 2 jedi and a CM to come heal me while I kill the guy. Still takes about 20 minutes to kill him and I was quite happy when I saw him go down.

In the end of all this the ONLY loot I got off this guy was A JAR OF FORAGED BUGS!! I am going to keep this jar of bugs for the remainder of time that I am in the game as a reminder of this battle.

Now I am MBH, Master Rifles and 4,0,0,0 CM. I have been doing this a long time and have very good strategy and have NEVER had a battle like this with anything less then level 90ish. And after all of that work, the ruin of a band new set of 8154 energy resist armor to only get bugs is just an insult of the worst kind. I have a rifle that has a base DPS of384 wihtout a PU and with a speed PU has a modified DPS to me of 864.2. I just do not see how this can be that with this much work the game mechanics still make it fully random loot.

I am not saying I dont love a challenge because up till the point when I looted the corpse I was having a total blast! But after that I jsut dont get it.

Standard every day ruby bliel
+175 blob candy
+182 bofa treat

I used some booser blue for the first couple fights with him but since it took so long to fight him I was having a downer mid fight and that was worse then having the bonus.

My 35k HAM double gold chevron experience:


Using a triple capped high capacity scatter, 7k energy resist armor for his dlt 20 that was hitting me for an average of 600, doc buffs, food buffs and out of desperation my health crystal...


I was only able to get his health down toabout 27kbefore my action ran out. While using ranged shot to regen action his health goes up to about 31k before I started with my specials again.


Made a run for it when my mind started getting too low.

Got another <<81>> mark - with only 17k ham this time- and the fight was a totaly different one.


I started off with concealment shots, but since the target didn't seem to care about being hit at all I sniper shot it to remove concealment. Expecting a charge by the mark - he was wielding a pike - I got up and KDed/Snared him. To my surprise the mark was on his back for no less then30 seconds, after finally getting uphe stood there for another 30 seconds doing nothing while I was alternating headshot/critshot the whole time.


When the mark had about 20% life left - a bit over a minute into the fight - I stopped shooting and tried get a reaction and he finally attacked after I got closer to him. He used CritShot / Knee-Cap before closing in, switched to pike LegHit / Spin / ArmourBreak etc. I tried to stay out of melee range for a while before finishing him off, but being snared there was no way to kite him for more then 5 seconds witch a KD.


The regen rate was nowhere near the 35k mark I fought and it would have been a fun fight if it wasn't for the bug that prevented the mark from doing anything for a minute.


The improved AI seems fine (when it works) the mad regeneration rates of some marks aren't.. it's like banging your head against a wall.

A guild member of mine got a boss mark on Yavin. I had heard of how tough they were and went with him. Hes a master BH master CM and pistols 0 0 0 4. He has a decent ADV Laser rifle. The Boss mark had 34k of ham. All Idid was heal and my guild mate could not damage him faster then he could regen. I left after several minutes when one of our master docs showed and took over the healing and I left to get my mark also on Yavin - (elite mark, was a bit tougher then normal, but took him out).


When I got back they were still working on the boss mark and a third player was watching the insanity. My guild mate gave up and let himself take a trip to the cloner. He did submit a ticket about the impossibility of soloing this mark. Ive never seen mobs heal like this before.


Soe does not seem to understand the word "moderation". The entire AI portion of the patch was over the top. Yeah I want a challenge, but I want to stand a chance too. And dont get me started on the snare wars.

Since my BH is a "only npc" hunt alt (till yesterday), I try to explain what my constatations are.



Since it's asked I will mention some wepaon and armor stats, anyway it's not my armor or weapon that has changed it's the mark in front of me.




Template : MBH Carbines 44xx CM 44x4




Armor : Compo 7000 Kin around 5.8 K energy (with some carbine acc and speed tapes on it, and some def (minor))


Always using a PSG


Food and drink i mostly take :


Blob Candy

Crispic

Air Cake

Elshandruu Pica Thundercould (+100 ranged def)

Spiced Tea

Ahrisa or some other stacjing Healt and action buff food.


Neutron Pixie Or booster blue



Weapon 1:


Spec Ops Bola Carbine :


DAM : 651-1145

SPEED :1.42 modified

DPS : 394-631

SAC: 85


This weapon uses a PuP but also did before Pub 24






Weapon 2:


Heavy lightning Cannon:


DAM : 668-1305

SPEED :2 modified

Elemantal DAM : 40

ACC BONUS : 59

DPS : 401-512

SAC:82




As MBH I took different Npcmissions since pub 24, not only the +31K payout missions :


1 : Lvl 82 Golden BOSS mark (+30K HAM): Keep it short : IMPOSSIBLE to KILL


- health regen : faster then you can damage them

- action regen : they don't seem to suffer from specials they do.



2 : LVL 81 Siver Boss Mark : ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE , he snares you ever 30 seconds too, or you just get rooted over and over again and if that's not fun enough the knock down rate is beautyfull as well.


3 : LVL 80 Silver mark : Same as above but can be done.


4 : Lvl 77 mark : Even those are hard but can be done.


5 : Lvl 74 mark : Not as easy as they should be but can be done.



For all of them : Their health regens awfully fast, the higher the lvl and the mark the more, Golden marks , you even don't have the time to wink your eyes or they HAM bar is full again.



Action bar regen : for exemple the lvl 74 mark, he regens action at the speed compared with a player, fully buffed and spice filled and sitting on the ground, they just stand, fight you and have a lightning fast regen.



Weapons : allthough all my weapons are sliced and have very good stats, the damage on the marks has been reduced a lot : somethimes at least a drop of 300 damage for power hits : NICE.



I don't care, it's even normal, to miss a mark, but having 4, 5 or even 6 misses on 10 attacks (even with CA's for acc and speed) , is just to start crying or laughing, I don't know what is nearest to me of both.



Got some tells from other BH's , they don't take high missions anymore cause they just can't do them anymore.



I don't know what to do now :


Conclusions :


The rate your armor gets decayed after every npc, you do 15 missions and can throw it away.

Their AI is improved that way, they now play the game and we don't have the fun anymore.

We should need pre-CU buffs to handle them.

People don't take the high end missions anymore : Golden marks for example can't be killed , so you don't get the money for the mission, but don't forget all the food you took, drink, spice and the armor that lost again some huge nombers (somethimes around 3 or 4 K lost even from a Silver mark)
