TH,

PSG are not suppose to have lightsaber resistants, correct?? This is a bug, right? Just wanted to get that cleared up.

8) Personal Shield Generators: There are reports on the forums about being resistant to lightsabers. This is incorrect. If you find information to the contrary, please post it.

TH you urself were the one who told us PSG's would have this resistance! They do have this resistance I have tested it. Granted it shifts out when u log or cross server lines But i assume that is due to the old stat shifting bug that most have just been quick fixed and not actually fixed

Yep - I've been working with the devs on this one... Someone sent me a quote and I've been working with the devs to get this looked at.

"excuse me? did you say exploit? its not my fault that SOE cant seem to fix the bug to keep the lightsaber resist on the psg....it falls off if you cross over boundaries...

please explain to me how it is an exploit if I am keeping it safe from a bug....

and yes it is an option under weaponsmith as I HAVE ONE.... you can make lightsaber resists psgs....please if you dont know the game dont talk about stuff you have no clue about....

I have 5 accounts so i believe i know what I am talking about... played since 2nd day of launch...."

Yay for your 5 accounts. I think part of the problem lies in the fact that everyone says "nothing has a resist to LS, Jedi are too powerful", and someone else says "I pwn Jedi with my 50% resist PSG and capped def mods". The devs need to speak up on this one. You shouldn't use the "its not my fault that SOE cant seem to fix the bug" reasoning. Wouldn't that same logic apply to Jedi leveling at 0,0?

Doesn't the idea that a PSG is "intended" to have LS resist make the entire Armor vs. Saberblock debate swing way in favor of BH? So now, under your rules, Jedi have no armor, but BH in effect have up to 50% armor against Jedi (Plus their other accuracy/defense mods - which can be way higher than Jedi if the BH is melee)?

Well goodbye for the last time then. See you soon when you post in here again.
As for your "wisdom" from playing for so long, I find it humorous that you don't even have the "wisdom" to read an entire short paragraph...

As for your 5 accounts since day 2, good for you. I have 6 accounds and I've been playing since day 1. Gee, aren't I uber 1337? Actually, I have 1 account and I have been playing since May '04. What I'm trying to say is taht I don't care how much time and money you have put into this game, that still doesn't mean you know apples from oranges.

See, as I said, I don't have six accounts and I haven't been playing since day one; I have one account and I have been playing since May '04. I guess all that "wisdom" doesn't include the ability to read.
As for the PSGs, I relent that TH has said that then. As I stated, I am under the impression that the DEVs have been unclear about it. It doesn't bother me one way or the other. I was just saying that as far as I knew, it was either questionable or an exploit. If it isn't fine, no big deal. It doesn't really mean much one way or the other. If you notice, the very first thing I said about it was a question, i.e. I was unsure about it.
So see you next time you post for the last "fricken" time.

1. Jedi ask for a separate damage type, they got it.
2. You got robes. They even have some protection if you wear them. Of course, people who are really concerned about not looking like the norm realize you can do better than robes and get a BE/Tailor to custom make you an outfit with mods.
3. No idea. To be honest, don't really care either. Anything special that could be considered cool for BH takes insane looting.

Sounds like other than that 3rd one, they got what they asked for.

Completely untrue. Robes offer nothing but +250 force and +10 regen. That's it. The devs originally said robes would have resists comparable to high end composite. Then they changed their minds. The Jedi Correspondent at the time, listed this as a major issue with the Revamp, in a large post he made, and the Jedi Designer responded to that issue with something like "we have re evaluated the robe issue, and have decided not to give robes Resists at this time." After CU, maybe they will, but who knows, nothing is guaranteed.

Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?

I have to agree with you here and yes I have a jedi as well...

1. against range, our block is better than armor, but not much diff than composite to fairly even, maybe we have a bit of an advantage.

2. we should not wear armor to begin with, really no melee class should with our stiff penalties due to the encumberance and speed issues involved with heavy armor.

3. we have armor should we so choose to get it... it's call force armor and it works as well as 60% comp, with the exception of it drains or force so it's not permenant

People on both sides whine and moan about balance and quite frankly it's all in the eyes of who is getting screwed on that particular day. Bottom line is PvP comes down to the ability to use what skills you do or don't have effectively against someone that isn't as good as using the skills they do or don't have.

No one should be all powerful otherwise the game is no fun for anyone...

Still sounds like robes offer "some protection" as I stated. Just isn't the protection you wish it to have. Additional force points and an additional bonus to the regeneration thereof is a protection; a protection of your force points, which directly helps you fight.

As for why they decided to not give you robes comparable to high end comp armor, well, I wouldn't be surprised if it is for the reasons I gave in this thread. It would be unfair.

I never saw Obi Wan wear armor in any of the movies.
It's not what Jedi do.

But Jedi robes should give +10 toughness or something.

Do what every other game does :

Armor restricts force powers, but doesn't affect LS damage.

They should have about 2 sockets on the pad robes, 3 sockets on the knight/enforcer robes etc...

and should have +10 toughness +10 melee def and like damage migration (when worn reduce the combat damage inflicted on you).

And obviously the higher in rank you go, the better robes you get, teh better they are.
