Thread: Trash-Talking BHs
I hate it when people say that someone is a noob for how they play, or if they don't know a nifty little feature about the game, and it's not just this game, it's all games.
During those fights, no one is talking.
During those fights, no one tries to cheat.
After those fights, there is a congratulations tell or just nothing.
Maybe i'm lucky.... Maybe it's something else.
who cares if they dont like you or call you names...its not like you had a friendly duel. if you dont like it addignore them and move on.
most people HATE grinding so adding to it even for an hour or two is no way to start a friendship. bh's need to stop acting like pariahs and just live with the fact that they have no right to expect a jedi to be excited and have lots of fun while theyare mowed down swinging a 300dps saber. just shut up and fight.
I don't mind trash-talk IF it's done in character in a roleplaying sense. I never bow, why should I. I'm BH=scum so I can say Jedi scum as well as a Dark Jedi could say pathetic.
However Noob, pwned, A*** etc.does not belong in these situationsand rather detract from the SW atmosphere such as it is.
Granted it can be difficult to know when the other guy is rping or just being an A**. However it's fairly evident in most cases.

Just the other day I went to lok overt and solo. I rode around for a while looking for imp bases. Once bored with that I returned to Nym's where i found a solo overt jedi. This particular jedi was master enhancer. I know this because after I drained their mind they stasised me to regen. During the stasis I poped a synth steak and kneeled to regen as well. While composing my self another overtjedi poped out of cloak and started to slice me up. Even though my temp is pretty strong I was unable to outheal damage by two jedi. While watching the combat log I see that the second jedi is the one that incaped me and got the DB. immediatly after I was dead the original jedi, who's butt I was whooping, started laughing at my corpse telling me I was pooned and spitting on me.
On the bright side, while in sheltered haven over the weekend the same jedi was there attacking the base. Turns out that even thought the're jedi they coulden't out heal damage from a group of hard hitting overts. I took great pleasure in getting the DB on this particular jedi. I hope he felt the same aggravation that I did when I spit on him while walking away from his dead body.
I don't send tells, or say anything in spatial to bounty hunters who attack me. I do reply to any polite tells or talk to the bounty hunter if they decide they decide to drop my mission.
I did say something rude to a BH I killed on saturday, but if you intentionally decide to ruin a plannedevent then expect me to get mad. Otherwise I don't have a problem with you, your doing what you are supposed to do, if I'm annoyed it will be at the system, not at the BH.
My favs:
"Why did you kill me?" - you're on the terms...duh.
"Run you *think kittykat*!!" - this after I already killed him.
"You would have never had killed me if I wasn't afk" - not my problem...

I agree, it is fun to add a bit of roleplay into it. I myself have a DB macro that says "I have no desire to kill you." as the DB timer is running thru. I have gotten tells saying "Why'd ya kill me? You said you wasn't gonna!!!" and I'd just say "No, I said I had no desire to.... I have no desire to pay taxes, but I still have to do it."
...but as it has been said before, it does get carried to the extremes, and both sides are just as guilty as the other. There are just as many trash talking BH's as there are Jedi... SoE has pitted us against each other, and we have developed a sence of hatred for each other, that quite honestly, is very unhealthy for a MMORPG.
