Thread: parwan nutricake
90% works if your /burstrun doesn't get interrupted. 90% lasts long enough to re-use once the burst is over naturally. but i'm guessing that yours came out much lower because you experimented strength. that line is the HAM you use when you start the burst, which is pretty much a non-factor in just about every situation.

Guess I should trash the old nutricake I made that isn't 100%? And what is the other percent stat about?

I made some 95% stuff and got a load of e-mails requesting the 100%+ stuff. All I make now. After you reach the desired Time Reduced.........put the rest of your experimentations into filling. Here is what I keep on my vendor:
Parwan Nutricake : 102% Time Reduced / 54% HAM Cost / 25 Filling / 5 Uses
and that is made with low quality flavor tissues using recycled milk. I charge 175k a crate and have to make a new batch about every 10 days or so.

Hmm .. I remeber seeing SOMETHING posted bout'Parwan working the same at 95% as at 99%.
Cant find the post though :/

here's the deal. 100% decreases the timer before you can use another burstrun (either natural or parwan-induced) by 100%, so you can use another one right away (of course you don't, because you don't burst twice as fast from 2, you wait until it wears off).
if you're just using the burst to travel faster or whatever, and nothing happens to you other than it running its usual course, then because the burstrun itself lasts for 1 minute, a 90% reduction is good enough. 90% reduction means that you can burst again in 9 minutes instead of 10, and since you used the whole 1 minute worth of bursting, you're fine. in *that* case, 90 is the same as 95 as 99.
in a case where your burst does get interrupted by anything (preCU several things could stop a burstrun, water, dizzy i think, i have not tested whether there are stillinterruptions like this postCU), then you'd run into the case where 100% is better than 90% or 95%. because there, your initial burst would stop during that first 60 seconds, so you're in the 90-100% window and would need to eat it again before that. so, pvp'rs greatly prefer 100% over even 99%, much less 90%, for situations like that.
I can't tell you enough how helpful this forum is. Now I understand what I did wrong with the nutricake. Thank you so much!

This is correct as long as the burst run isn't interrupted such as by swimming or another activity. Unfortunately most customers dont or cant understand the mechanics of our foods and therefore just want "the best" without realizing why its the best in the first place.
I still get people telling me that air cake isnt worth eating yet they'll inhale pikatta pie.
When I read this thread I thought, hmm, BR gets interrupted by swimming? So I tested it this weekend. The few times I tried it never got interrupted. In fact, I can't think of anything that interrupts it these days.
Please give it a try and let me know if I am wrong. wouldn't be the first time.
Ifit does notget interruptedthen perhaps only 90% is good enough in all cases. If this is the case then your really in luck because you can use a light additive that is only +20 and still reach 90%. This saves 50% on milk compaired to med additive. The only down side is you loose about 1-2 xp points that could be used to reduce fill by 1-3%. A fair trade off for those looking to cut costs.
As already pointed out, the customer is always right. Currently the customer will want 100%+ stuff regardless of needing it or not. It would take a lot of customer education to turn this ship.
