Thread: Anonymous Mission Testing and What I Told the Devs
well told

So NOW you say you wouldn't care if 2 - 3 BHs came after you at the same time. I would like to thank you for proving my point. If yoou WELCOME 2 - 3 BHs at the same time, I guess it's VERY safe to say you will NEVER fear a 1 vs. 1.
As for the "risk" of being a BH....where was the risk of being a Jedi? What the hell happened to that. Fully templated Jedi in less then 10 days (most spent AFK)....give me a break. Truth be told, most Jedi don't deserve the "power" they have, and they sure as hell don't deserve to be hunted by me.
If I had the mission credits for EVERY Jedi that ever decided to fight me long enough to see they would lose, run into a house and tell me to come back for them in 3 or 4 days, becuase THEN they would be "ready"...I'd be one of the richest players on my server.
You want me to hunt you....but what have you done to deserve it?

Finally got on TC to test.
I got the mission and started tracking.
When I finally got to the Jedi he was fighting Giant Worts. He was alone, but I simulated regular hunting as most will be with groups and tried to target him via tabbing.
It took me several seconds to TAB over to him. The Jedi knew I was after him before I could even target him. The smart Jedi will start running way before I would be able to target him in most situations. Now, add the fact that /duel is used almost exclusively in most situations to figure out a bounty target by the Jedi, he will know before the BHs.
We really need the Jedi name at some point in the process. The devs at the "FanFest Jedi Focus Group Session" even mentioned that the BH first strike ability makes them equal to full template Jedi in power (which is a fallacy in itself). Well, it is kinda hard to have first strikeor any kind of advantage when you have to be almost on top of the Jedi to know who he is!!!
Please make the name of the Jedi available after the Arakyd probe reports the planet location. This would resolve a lot of issues and still stop the so called griefing by gank squads, targeting specific Jedi etc., etc.
Well that will fix some of the problems (and the biggest one) im still razzled at the fact that the devs were stupid enough to bring something this lame into test even after the last 2 weeks where the BH community has risen every single point possible as to why its a bad change.... How many Pros did it have against the many many Cons.... Lets try to think it through next time huh devs?
Oh and welcome back Tanks
I hope your vaction was not dimmed because of these changes at all.
As a MBH & Jedi, /agree. It's fair and important to keep the element of surprise on the BH side.
However, I'd like to see the name given by the first Seeker Droid. The message could say something like "the Jedi INSERT NAME has been found" or something like that. Once you've traveled, you're even more commited.
Last, this is off the subject, but are there any current thoughts about bringing the hunt into space. That would be so sweet ![]()

As it has always been, Bh's have nothing to lose and everything to gain. The Jedi has everything to lose and nothing to gain. With that said Bh is the ONLY proffession where you are forceing combat on someone and you actually stalk other people and get paid to do it. With that said I love the changes being made. Just as the jedi knew he was going to be hunted you also knew it was going to be tough as a Bh as well and all the things that went with it.
You know what makes this okay and fair? One thing....you knew about it when you decided (NOT forced) to obtain a Jedi character. You knew how the game was played before you ever started for a Jedi, and now that your "stuck" in the middle, many Jedi have the *nerve to say you want the rules changed? THESE were "the rules", and they have never been a secret. Seems to me many Jedi wanna play the crying game till they are sure enough that they will NEVER lose to a MBH.
Guess what, they got their wish. With the upcoming changes...how much more minimal of a risk can the Devs create? Other then dropping the BH profession all together.

What? It wasn't rough enough BEFORE the upcoming changes? Face it, the Jedi profession has gone from *MONTHS to grind, down to weeks, literally. Now, as BHs, we must try and kill a Jedi that went from nothing to Knight with almost complete impunity. Like it or not, most Knights can kill any template wherein MBH is required without much effort.
I'm NOT saying the BH shouldn't be hard...not at all, your just saying it was never hard to begin with.
*I just can't spell today.

Not at all but you all KNEW it would be hard. You get all the benefits with no risk. Thats not a bad deal in my book. Jedi has gone from months to grind down to a few weeks yes, but in relative terms I grinded Bh i 2 days to Master /shrug. Don't think I don't know what it's like to be a Bh either. I grinded to MBH way back before mounts and pets and have hunted Jedi alot myself in the past.

Blah blah blah, uphill and downhill in the snow both ways....yeah, you preaching to the choir.
You want to know what the "risk" is for losing to a Jedi? Giving THAT Jedi, the one who is ALREADY stronger then I am, the chance to become even stronger. Lose enough, and that Jedi WILL reach the point of "untouchable". The problem is, that's the way MOST of them are starting out....and they didn't have to do a damn thing..../macro AFK.
What kind of risk would you suggest? XP loss? Fine, I don't need XP anymore....neither do MANY fully templated Jedi. You want to know what I predict...I see a LOT of Jedi KNIGHTS using Kashyyyk to AFK grind ANY XP they many lose, should a MBH ever catch them off guard.
Credits? Fine, I'll pay the Jedi I lose to the amount of credits they were worth. Kind of a pay to play deal....can't take the mission if you can't afford to lose.
You really need to look in the mirror though....you keep talking about the "risk" of being a Jedi when in fact, and you KNOW this, given the system as it is (let alone how it WILL be PUB 20) the RISK of losing XP is laughable. You ARE aware as to why many Jedi go AKF on Kashyyyk WITHOUT fear of being killed? It's because if they can make gain 2 or 3 million XP, losing 200K or so, doesn't really amount to much.
Jedi risk...you speak of it as though it matters.
The /duel thing, which I honestly haven't used yet(and probably never will, I love the surprise), needs to be fixed so the BH get their First Strike back.
