Here's what I hate, Jedi who AFK all night long in there houses while they sleep. I see no other reason to do this other than to PO Bounty Hunters. I think they should take out repeating macros. Sure there may be some down sides to that but the pros out weight the cons IMO. Just think, less spamming and no AFK Jedi.

If you remove repeating macros, you piss off every serious crafter on every server of the game. Same for doctors, entertainers, Bounty Hunters (duelist stance)..... that's not the answer, and likely will not be since the developers never did it, and seemed to have forgotten about the issue.

The benefits of BH vs Jedi do not outweigh the draw backs to the rest of the player base.

You make a valid point bmill. Maybe they could make it so only Jedi couln't use repeating macros.

That's discrimination.... The Jedi won't stand for that, I can guarntee. I'm more for changing the AFK trigger in the coding of the game. Currenlty, it's based on character actions.... macro's with emotes for instance can trigger the AFK timer to keep resetting, TRICKING the system into thinking you are there.

What I'm saying is.... change the coding to make it so only a PHYSICAL keyboard strike or a mouse movement work. This is identical to how the MS Windows system works. That will completely solve the issue. AFK players would be logging out after 10 min of "inactivity" despite macro's running.

And it will keep everyone happy, especially the crafters because they get to keep their recursive macros.

Well, they could just put a weight or something on a key.

Nothing can stop a player from doing that. Players can put one of those tipping chicken things on thier keyboard, a rock, or use a 3rd party program to tap a key repeatedly. Since SOE can't stop any of that, the only thing they can do is minimize the possibility of it happening with the SWG client itself.

All I'm saying, is remove the Jedi from the terms when the go AFK, and make the AFK system keyboard strike and/or mouse movement based. Problem solved.

Another question :

If you implement this, you also hit all jedis that are not on terms....
Why should they loose anything staying at home?

If there is a malus for jedi staying at home, there should be one for everyone !
You crafter ! You don't roleplay because you stay all day long inside your shop ! You loose skill mods until you come back to a public crafting station !
You entertainer ! You danse for no-one in your city -> you loose ability to make some dances/flourishes until you entertain someone
You BH! You stay at home a while? You loose your ability to track a target ! Until you make delivery mission for jabba
You combattant ! You loose great accuracy until you go to see a doctor !
You medic/doctor! You don't heal? You loose healing efficiency until you go heal someone in a med center

The whole idea is stupid.

If a jedi is in his house, whatever reason, you have 2 possiblities
The good idea : You get away and take another mission
The bad idea : Every other idea
The worst idea : you ask for malus for jedi or a way to kick them out there house

Or do you only play BH to annoy other players? When you want to annoy them? And beeing sure no one will ever be able to kick you when you don't want it?

Stop asking for easy money, easy fights, etc...
BH requiers patience and passion. If your only goal is to ROX TEH JED1!!1§1 , play another game !

I can't believe this is still going.

Most jedi that are afk are not doing it to grief us.. believe me. There are some idiots but they're no different then the BH's who want a way to drag them out of their houses. You all need to get over yourselves.

There is no right for a BH to hunt a jedi. Jedi hunting is a privilege that the many in the BH profession has degenerated into outright abuse of other people that you play the gamewith. There are many other things that we can be doing that is made available to us. If jedi hunting is all you want to do in this game, then that's not anyone's problem but your own. BH do not exist to solely hunt jedi. It's a profession like any other, and honestly it's things like this that are ruining the game for all other players.

There is no issue to be fixed except removing afk jedi from the terminals, period. Any request to make changes to the game mechanics to suit us is basically saying we're more important than the rest of the player population. If that's the case than we're no better than the "stereotype" many of our BH's seem to put upon the entirejedi profession.

Heheh, anyone remember pre-cu where you were safe if you were afk in a public building and had a peace macro running? And if a Jedi didn't fight back they wouldn't get a tef and could run into a structure?

Oh and don't forget when Bounty tefs were completely borked and jedi could just run in and out of their houses at will during a fight. Man, ppl don't realise how easy they got it now lol.

just stop the forced pvp and problem is gone.
new states,
jedi pvp enabled = on the terms
jedi pvp disabled = no listed

then only the jedi who want to pvp will be listed, and you can be assured a fight.

remove xp loss will acomplish almost as much.

remember, pvp is nothing but a downside for jedi, nothing but more vis can be gained.
