Thread: Exploit?

It's not my fault someone transfered them to me. I didn't ask for them, and I have no way of getting rid of them.
I don't see an exploit here, I just see broken ass coding.

I't has not been said that it is bannabel, only one guy said he lost his house and all his items..
and was mad cause he said the CSR's deleted it without saying a word or anything ... then he made this post ....
no one has even said its a exploit
just debating wether or not it is![]()
basically its a non-intended bug/thing that could cost you some items and a house if you have it on your jedi
and a CSR decides its time for your house to be deleted !
I honestly can't even believe this post even exists. No, I take that back, I can believe it. It never ceases to amaze me how people who outright know they're doing something wrong will go to such lengths to justify their infractions.
Broken code? I'm afraid not, Whocaresdude. Missing code? Yeah, it seems like it. To the rest of you defending the original poster, though...this is not in any way, shape or form a license to circumvent the original intent.
In this case especially, there isn't asingle person running a Jedi that has had a structure transferred to him/her that didn't know it wasn't acceptable. How many people even knew about the /transferstructure command before it came into popularity by means of this exploit?

This is ridicolus. If you have to work around something then it is an exploit? What about Dev stupidity. There is no reason Jedi should have lots and not be able to place structures. Ben Kenobi's house is a waypoint for god sakes, and we have a lot of stuff that could be stored. /transferstructure is not an exploit, it is merely circumventing the time it takes the Devs to fix what should have been in the first place. LOL

Well then it would not matter if it suddenly dissapeard on you? Maybe you should go raid any materials inside.... or redeed and sell it. =)

so what happens when you are just walking by a house and suddenly you get the message This structure has been successfully transfered
And you suddenly have a house and 2 lots are gone.
You didn't ask for the house, you didn't even get a message confirmation about accepting it, it's just ...YOURS..
So what then? is that an "exploit" because the game allows it? Why give the Jedi any lots at all if you don't want them having houses and structures. Personally, I will continue to kepe my houses until I'm told otherwise. It's not my fault someone transfered them to me. I didn't ask for them, and I have no way of getting rid of them.

It's one thing if the dev's said "Oops, our mistake. We wanted Jedi to be able to own structures. Until we fix that, you can place a house with your main or a friend's account, and then just transfer it. Look for the fix in the next publish or so."
But they did not say that. As a matter of fact, they said they are not supposed to own structures. I don't care if Ben Kenobi had a house. This is a game and it has rules (even if they are screwed up). You circumvent those rules be prepared to pay a price.

If you were an honorable player (and it seems more and more that many (NOT ALL) Jedi have no honor), then you would /transferstructure to the person it rightfully belongs to, AND report it as a bug.
You can always transfer the houses back to someone else. Plus you can just do a /destroystructure. So yes, you DO have a way of getting rid of them.
Anytime you use "broken ass coding" to your advantage - it is an exploit - so whether you "see" it as one or not, you are only fooling yourself.
