Well, it is a moot point... that's why I bothered to bring it up. People who use the "you're not paying my fee" card really wouldn't behave any differently if we were, so why metion it?

I'm just pointing out that as a paying subscriber, I have the right (as long as I'm not breaking the EULA) to play as it benefits me, not you. That's all.

Edit: I have edited my original post to reflect this.

I am always a potential mark, I do accept that. I am not necessarily a potential corpse, however. Bounty hunters would do well to accept that.

I fully agree. But it works both ways. No one whines more on these forums than BHs and Jedi.

Quickly adressing one point, i have no objection to jedi running.

I enjoy the thrill of a chase and hopfully a confrontation at the end. Cloaking only make the hunt more fun

I agree completely, I have pretty much given up on the Jedi forums altogether, to be honest. And yeah, I guess it works both ways, I wouldn't know, lol. I'm so unlikely to be able to kill a BH that I don't bother to try, except the level 60ish guy the other day who begged me to come out (I was redecorating my house after a move) so I did and quickly dispatched him, but I did not deathblow. In fact, he was so cool about it that I then helped him to complete several Corvette badges so he could get glowy. Ironic, no? He was neutral by the way, although I have since convinced him to become Imperial. Of course, my friendliness may come back to bite me, I know I've seen enough gloating posts on here about a bounty hunter befriending someone just so they could kill them when they least expect it. If that happens, oh well; one less person I'm helping, I guess.

Oh of course, its irking granted. (Arkyads dont grow on tree's ). I try to be a 'model' BH and i dont go into trash-talk or expect disadvantaged jedi to stay.

I will admit i got the giggles this one time: On my server we have this big rebel jedi who leads a big guild mostly with rebel jedi knights. They hang out in theed overt and smash any overt imps. My BH friend who respec'ed at the CU got his mish, this guy is a jedi guardian, and the guy ran like heck.

Now i wont say what he did is wrong, or he shouldnt do it. But it does make me giggly.

Being a rebel is being a terrorist. Truthfully that is what you are. The Rebels are trying to overthrow the lawfully elected government using guerilla tactics. The movie the New Hope was about a old man that convinces a young man to blow up a govenment building.

The Imperials are the local law abiding citizens of the galaxy.

Rangers lead the way.

A Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air. I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier.

Oh, I know Arakyds don't grow on trees, I have a bounty hunter too (she makes my money).

I do avoid Theed, for my own reasons and also pvping there is a "no-no" for the guild my Jedi is in.

And I agree, it is funny when the big guys run, although he may have been out of force from all the imp-smashing, although why a Guardian cares about xp is beyond me, unless he's planning on a template change, but then why is he hanging out in Theed instead of the all-important piket-smashing?

Fortunately, my running does not inspire giggling because I'm pretty much unknown, and not even Knight. Actually, I'm still about 1.5 mil away from being done.

I love you dude, you've given me the best laugh in ages.

As for fame, nuggets to it. I was famous in-another game. It was, awkward and i got alot of hate.

He wasnt trying to regrind his temp for sure, he found some great thing and stuck to it.

Personally i dont see how one can object to running.... It spices things up, why would one jedi hunt if the jedi just stood there. I mean BH talk about using dirty tricks because they need to take a advantage. Well, its the same for jedi

I hadnt hunted jedi in a while, and i was doing this only with Doc buffs and Comp armor. So i took a 45k (base price, he was 180k total) mark.

I tracked him ect ect, and found him missioning with a group. He was lvl 59 and had about 10 Banthas on him with 300 health left. Bang bang... i shot him down... Bang bang he hit the ground (sorry song running through my head ) anyhow and i killed him

I did /tiphat and left.

Now one thing before i get into the core of my point is we were both rebel. I was fine with this, its my choice and right to decide if i wish to hunt rebels.

Anyhow first tell (it was in french so i decphired it and i may have made 1-2 mistakes)

"Wow.u attack rebel jedi thats bad."

I replied "I aplogize, i am a bounty hunter. Just because you share my poltical affilation does not make you a ally of mine"

He then says to me:

" u r unfair"

I reply "I am a bounty hunter, we dont play by the rules"

(Heres where it starts to get my head scratching. I am a hunter he is my pray. I do this for money, there isnt room for mercy. And one shouldnt expect that)

He then replies "fine if i c u in pvp i wont help u"

I reply, trying to be mature "That is your choice and you have a right to stick by it"

He says "how much $ u get on me"

"180k i believe"

"Ok"

Alright so i figure thats done with.

Then he says "I lost 500k of xp "

"I was 100k from a new skill "

(Now i wanted to say "If i was sympathetic to that i wouldnt be a hunter" But that was a bit harsh for my taste)

So i reply with a sigh "Thats the price one pays for reaping the bonuses of being a jedi"

Its over, he stops sending tells. Now sorry for taking so long but a few things i wonder about are as follows

1.Why should anyone expect me to play by the rules. I already spent two droids on you, i find you. If you didnt wanna be hnted you can generaly stay off the terms. Also i wont wait fora 'fair' oppertunity to fight when your not being swamped by Banthas. Thats not my job. Really fair play shouldnt be expected from me.

2.I dont care about your exp. Sounds cruel, but i dont. Your prey to me, a animal. As i wanted to say, if i was sympathetic to the exp lose then i wouldnt be a bounty hunter.

Basicly what im trying to say here, is to all jedi who may read this. Please understand those two points...

Thanks for reading.

your problem is that you reply....and badly at that.....not sending a reply is 100 times better than that "I am a BH" crap....and your a chump for hunting reb on reb....in this game, the endgame is pvp.....you cross your faction and your shooting yourself in the foot....and if the imps know you as a reb, no one will trust you....later....when you realize you need it. so anyway, good luck, and stop talking, especially to people who speak french, they smell funny anyway.

If you want to hunt same faction that is of course your right, but in so doing you are going against the faction that you have allied to. In order to join a faction you must do so with a recruiter, and tho they do not have it in game you would most certainly have sworn an oath to the effect that you will serve that cause to the best of your abilities and not to knowingly destroy/throw away the resources of that faction that effect the GCW.

How many Imperial BH's hunted Mara Jade or any of the imperial inquisitors? none, how many Rebel BH's were after luke? not a one, the only ones were either neutral or working directly for the empire and at that their job was to "not Kill him" but to herd him to a point that Vader was waiting. There are really no Jedi players running around as the only one who can claim to have the training by a master jedi was luke. The rest are really force sensitive with training in the use of the force either light side or dark side.

Don't know about other servers but if I were to hunt Imperial Jedi in mine I would be booted from my PA and ostrasised by those PA's in the imperial Alliance as what I did was take out one of the loyal members of the Empire (If they were accepted as an imperial recruit they are working directly for the Emperor and against the Rebel scum ).

So if you hate the empire and want to hunt either imperials or rebels then do so, but dont join a side and try and justify it by saying well we are scum. This is not true either in SW, the EU or in real life. (most BH's in real life brought their targets in alive and not dead even in the old west when listed wanted dead or alive)

I'm sorry as I haven't read the whole post but after the first page I just wanted to add that as a new MBH and a long running fan of SW that if as a Jedi of either faction and you commit a crime they will put a bounty on your head... For whatever reason the officials can't touch you so they pay us, the bounty hunters, to umm deal with the situation...

At this point it isn't a question of faction, the TEF flags go up and the chase begins... Once the TEF is up faction doesn't matter... If I duel someone of my own faction I wouldn't expect them not going to DB me so I'm going to fight for my life or advoid the duel in the firt place if I didn't want to die... No different for a Jedi, once your on the term the game is on...

If we both were in the same guild, or grew on up tantoine together I might do you the curtesy of a warning tell... But I would also do you the curtesy of taking you out before some other BH did... I wouldn't disrespect you by letting some stranger kill you...

When a BH isn't on a bounty he can make a powerfull ally, but when he is, hope it isn't your name he's after...
