Does it really take you a whole minute to kill a single creature? Maybe you should take up merchant - you can get xp way faster than that, even offline.

And I'm sure there are places where mobs respawn a lot faster than once every 5 minutes.

If AFK's not a viable option for recovering xp, why is it used by those looking to get it in the first place?

Elites? Yes it does depending on how your template is. And "I'm sure" is not gonna cut it this time, I want proof from you, as I have given you proof now, and have proven your logic to be flawed when calculating how long it takes to grind out 440k on an AFK macro.

As for your second question, it WAS used heavly, but has fallen out of practice due to how slow the xp now is when AFK grinding.

440kxp is pure crap xp if it takes 30 hours to get. I could get over 5 million xp in that amount of time while at the keyboard. I am sorry, but your arguements do not make sense man.

TashunkaSapa wrote:

You're basing your calculation on a 5-minute spawn interval between individual mobs. I'm saying that if you're grinding where one mob spawns every five minutes, you're grinding in the wrong place. I find it hard to believe that you're incapable of achieving a mere 10% of your normal xp intake while AFK.

Then you can find it hard to believe. You are unwilling to listen to reason, just like a child or a teenager. You have no basis for your facts, you do not research many of your statements, and yet you continue to be bull headed and obtuse on this topic. It is obvious that you have not played a Jedi, and have no idea how slow the xp is.

You have no idea about our dmg, and yet you make statements like the ones I quoted above.

I have come to the conclusion that you are a fool who just spouts out whatever comes to his mind first. When you can not think of anything, you then resort to name calling. At least I was stating facts when I called you a noob.

Research what your talking about, then talk about it. Jedi saber DPS is currently broken, as none of our speed/accuracy skill mods are working now. We are not the gods you seem to think we are.

Then why do you play the class? It's sure not to play a role, or we wouldn't see all the whining about being hunted, xp loss and the other penalties for visibility.

Face it, if Jedi were as gimped as Jedi players would like us to believe, we wouldn't see so many of them. Roleplayers don't have saber duels in starports.

Mayne you're simply not as effective as you're potentially capable of being - because it seems like you expect me to believe that you know how to get millions of xp a day but you somehow when it comes time to write the macro, you can only remember a spot where one mob spawns every five minutes. Please, get real, this isn't "reason" you're talking about, it's fallacy. You're the one who keeps talking about your "facts" but so far you haven't provided any. You've made a lot of claims, claims which can be refuted by simple logic - claims that, if true, you could back up with more than an attempt to deflect the burden of proof onto me.

You think that just because I'm a BH, I don't know any Jedi? I've seen what someone who's good with a saber can do. If you're gimped, you gimped yourself - it sure isn't your class that's weak.

I love how you still insist that I'm the noob when you're the Johnny-come-lately who apparently can't even kick ass as a Jedi. Boy, that's rich. Can I be like you? I want to find a way to make an alpha-class template that can only fight one mob every five minutes. I want to find a way to gimp myself so badly that I'm not even 1/10th as powerful just standing there and doing my default attack on the closest mob. God, you're almost funny.

You can call me a noob when you can actually prove you've been here longer. Until then, it's just a joke, especially when it comes from someone who steals other people's orders. Noob.

looks like you both are missing each others point. as a jedi and a BH i have seen AFK grinding jedis in groups of7 with one MCMon the ryatt trails everyday this week will i was getting my items there on my alt toons. in a group of 8 all AOEing AFK macroes with a AFK MCM there area healing. this is appaulling to see, seeing i stay at my keyboard grinding every profession i have earned. this to me in unfair to pre-exsisting jedi and unfair to any gamer who has never AFK macroed there toon. AFK macroes have been in this game since beta 3 if not longer. it is the way the devs have setted up the game. as long as these macroes exist there will always be AFK grinders weather you see them or not. so i have to agree with tashunka on this one there still is AFK grinders in the ryatt trails.

take out the xp loss to jedi for deaths or cut it in half. to lose that much xp is bs. if you were not sure you would win why risk losing 10 hours of grinding in 30 seconds? then jedi would fight more. before u say anything, i am a PRE-CU MBH

a jedi, if they wish to run should. if he escapes the bh then the bh did not do his/her job. if they want to cloak then cloak.

bh's can attack anytime they want. to want bh's to send jedi tells and e-mails concerning their motives i 100% bs. grow up. if u stink that bad at PVP then do not be a jedi because like it or not you are hunted. I read someplace that BH hunt Jedi.

Honor hunts? lol ahhhhhhh see above comments. You people are morons who want that.

Just my 2 cents. If you have the system that bad maybe you should play another game.

What a bunch of no good, wimpy BH's... oh, the Jedi may be weak now, we should attack. Oh, look they are being attacked by 4 other PvPers, I should attack. Oh, look the Jedi is practicing his PvP with friends in a duel and in incaped, I should attack.

Grow up and fight honorable. Walk right up and tell the Jedi you are there to kill him. Ask him if he would please ask his friends to step aside. Then, when he is ready, anounce your intentions and attack him.

Thats the corniest thing i ever heard...be grimy...be cleaver...be deceitful.....but above all be merciless and unrelenting. And this is coming from a Jedi. The surprise is half the victory. When i was a MBH ( my first love) I used to ask jedi to meet and check a crystal or pearl for me. Or tell them i had one for sale. Or join a spin group with your mark and hit him when he spins. My personal favorite! Be sneaky and inventful. Some of the best are. Telling them you're there for them is asking them to eat all thier food and throw on all thier buffs and to be prepared. Screw that! Thats asking for a quick death!

Thats not a viable option anymore, get your facts straight. The wookies on the Trails are now single chevron elites, so people no longer afk grind Jedi.

Get REAL. People did the AFK grind to become Jedi, and they did the AFK grind as Jedi even before Kashyyyk. Who do you think you're fooling? They're just doing it somewhere else now - but regardless, my point still stands.

I just don't understand why a bunch of risk-averse players choose the riskiest profession in the game.

jedi still afk grind on rryttt trails, but they go past the big spawn of wookies across the bridge between the trando camp. Theres a small spawn of them 4-5 i think with a good respawn timer. if you wanna grief these jedi just try to train some of the wookies from the big spawn over to them and watch the jedi take a beating.
