well I don't call a change to buffs orexisting skills adding content, and I really do think there will be "Jedi Only content" in this new expansion, but I never said "all" of it will be jedi only content, but I do think that there will be some, example I hear there is a quest for a new crystal etc.. even if other professions can run these quests it wouldn't even be for something that benefits them other then monetary gain. I guess it's all in how you want to look at it. Letting BH hunt jedi is content for both BH and Jedi, even if people don't like it.
bh hunting jedi is only content for both when the jedi is full temp until then it's only bh content... and even at full temp jedi gets nothing out of it for now.

No sheet sherlock. It really depends on the quality of the Jedi sabre. There are many Jedi with pre cu sabre that a BH cannot stand up to toe to toe. Now factor the alpha strike?, lol. No, I really disagree, I do not think a BH is capable of surviving an alpha attack from a jedi, we don't get skills where we can turn on instant 500 to defense like mose jedi use with Aura which is almost always on, Ithink there might be some who are constantly buffed etc.. who wear their jedi hunting armor which is absolutely useless against pikets or something like that if you are out hunting... You're out hunting with your friends you're at half health jedi pops you kd, stasis, 2 saber hits it's over.. Yeah it might be possible to survive an attack but it would cost you so much money it would be rediculous having to eat foods all the time during regular hunting, then you'll usually be full when a jedi does attack. Also, jedi can root you and run almost every jedi can get away from a BH if he doesn't want to fight what gets them killed is choosing to try both then usually running without enough force to keep running, but BH won't be able to run if they choose they don't want to fight.Jedi also have a force bar, and their health and action bars seem to refill quicker then our own which we do not have, get caugh grinding your dead, with no option of running or rooting and trying to run. Out of all the jedi I've fought there has been 1 possibly 2 who didn't survive my alpha strike, one was cl lvl 78 padawan at half health when I struck him. The other was lvl 80 full temp already running from mobs, I hit him with KD and let the pikets do the rest.Message Edited by SpaceSnail on 10-04-2005 11:36 AM
there is no excuse you can put of being hunted in the middle of a piket lair... a jedi that is doing the same thing and has half his health and gets attacked by a bh while tanking the full lair will rarely survive aura or no aura.
you complain about having to use foods at all times, how do you think we deal with it?
you say that you might survive an alpha strike but that it would cost you ridiculous amounts of money... how much do you think a good saber that will actually be able to deal with the AB slice armor cost....you can't compair cost on jedi and other professions ... they are no were near.
root and run? if you have pistols xxx4 you can root if you are the cm combo you can paralize... just use either of those burst run (faster than FR1) until you lose agro and grab your swoop and go away. you are a ranged prfession you are designd to stay away.
health/action/mind regen has nothing to do with if you are jedi or not... the are species related and on the regen foods you use. might want to check on what stuff you are buying.
why? because it opens up the game to more problems .. you will have BH being "balanced" by getting nerfed in order to give smugglers a chance .. then jedi nerfed even more to in turn level them up with BH again ... and all this time wasted could have gone to putting more content in game ...
how about this .. how about if you dont like getting hunted dont get visibility .. its not that hard to remain off the terms ...or how about this .. how about you try out being a BH ... if you think BH have the strength to face jedi jumping em at any moments notice your wrong .. and if you ask for somethin like this jedi will again be nerfed more so BH have a chance to stand up to jedi attacking them out of the blue
the XP changes many jedi are asking for are rumoured to maybe be comingsoon ... but always remember this .. this is a rule that should be applied to any suggestions regarding a change of game mechanics .. the EASIER jedi have it .. = the less powerful they will become .. or .. it goes to an even broader end ...ANYTHING Given to jedi to make them more attractive .. and to make them more desirable as a proffession will equal them getting nerfed ...
now i know this sounds horrible ... but you have to think to yourself .. the devs will never allow this game to turn into a one class mmorpg .. it may sure as heck get bad .. but never will they abandon other classes ... if you want more content grind out another toon ( given to you when you unlocked)... and ask the devs to give THAT proffession more content .. jedi shouldnt be the main toon of a player .. its a privaledged gift ..that should only be brought out at certain times ... like when you need to lay the smacketh down in PVP ... or do a really hard dungeon ... but instead players grind the jedi and use it 24/7, then when the devs make it harder for jedi and try to force them too play carefully.. jedi complain, and threaten to quit .. so instead of trying to force jedi into hiding they nerf their abilities, weakening them and mesh them into the general population ....
you have to think from a deeper perspective when analyzing the state of the game .. now granted these are only my theories and opinions and they may be wrong .. but think about it..
ever hear the saying be careful what you ask for? because you just might get it? that saying is popular for a reason ... it means that with all the positive .. comes negative as well sometimes

as you said i took the jedi path and i live with it i'm not complaining about getting hunted i personaly could care less... just trying to give bh a bit of their own medicine with the force pvp with nothing to lose for them...
Your not forced to PVP, delete your Jedi and play your alt

I believe that's called the Trials of Obi-Wan, I could be wrong but I believe it comes out november 1st. Along with an Returning FRS ... I'm not saying everything in the new expansion will be jedi only content, but you can't tell me that everything in an expansion named Trials of Obi-Wan which on the picture shows a jedi kneeling in front of a blue glowy will be something that every profession will be able to do, I am quite sure there will be jedi only content in this new expansion.
Not only that but I don't think you care about any other profession getting content other then jedi, I say they give entertainers more content, or smugglers more content... What about dancers? they need more content too.. There are lots of classes that need more content. Maybe you've played jedi so long that you're just bored with the current content which for jedi is alot more then other classes have.
I don't have a problem with jedi hunting BH, but our odds of surviving an alpha strike from a jedi are pretty much zero. Unlike jedi, I don't think we have the skills or tools to survive an attack, which would just in the long run cause sony to nerf jedi more.

Today BHs get that with no risk....I still mean only successful jedi kills should give vis... so if you never hunt Jedi and enjoy PVE you arn't really forced to PVP... But if so BH's can't be the only ones having good access on uber loot..
look man ... fear not the flames of the BH who is, by nature i agreedy little B*sturd. They want to be able to hunt jedi but notbe hunted themselves when they get too many failures. They think its just hunky dorey that a BH is the only toon capable of getting high level loot(aka Credits out the yin yang). WHY NOT have JEDI specific missions where they can get similar loot drops, or a chance of premium and up pearls and crystals? What JEDI wouldn't accept missions from the council to Investigete this or mediate that, or 'capture' whatever criminal? Forgo the credits reward. we wouldnt need a payout.. most JEdi are well established anyway.. or well enough... or maybe have em 're-imburse you' for travel so to speak. The real reward would be in a chance to loot components for your saber.. power ups maybe... crystals/pearls. prestige, you could bank for purchasing temporary jedi abilities ( theres an idea. 2-3 use abilites for those dire need moments. And cant buy another til you use it.. i LIKE that one).
In the end those with Saber envy will always flame the Jedi because they are 'over-powered' ( my arse). So good idea. Ignore em.

That's the free ride every jedi wants, believe it or not I hunt everyday, and it's the same people over and over and I know there are more then 20jedi on eclipse, well maybe these people are the only one's playing during my play times? Well how come I see alot of other jedi walking around the same faction I hunt and I never get their mission?
maybe for those that are always on the terms like myself because we don't care, i personaly go around and do everything i can and don't really care, i even make it easy for the bh to hunt me "most of the time" i just stay in my town near the shuttle or doing things in town maybe dueling friends and stuff so that the bh doesn't have to keep planet hopping.
but there is also lost of player that even if they are jedi they have no interest in pvp and are just RP, those particular player basicaly can't do any of the main quest because they would get vis.

Are you talking about thesame players who either bought their Jebay account, grinded at the Ryatt trails AFK for months on end while they slept, whogathered in spin groups, or burned upendless cratesof grenades on a lair sure didn't seem to be very much into ROLEPLAYING THEN. WHY ARE THEY SO CONCERNED ABOUT ROLEPLAYING NOW? 
HINT: a true roleplayer don't need a jedi toon to do so. Quit using that same lame a$$ excuse

OH I never brought My Toon on EBAY and never been in a spin grop till I went to help some newbies grind and wookies world whats that?
But it would be nice to be able to play the game for a few hours and get stuff done and not have to put up with the attacks every x mins or so! And yes a nice quest that got you no vis would be nice, but can't have that as you want to hunt Jedi also would have to wait 3 weeks or more for VIS to drop!
Although I don't think it does at the moment and so once you got VIS your stuck with it!
