I dont think it was lag because we were in a small player city with with only 5 people around I had absolutely no lag what so ever (possible server lag but at 4am cst its doubtfull it could of been that bad)and the dispaly and combat log was getting the droid hitting 3-4 times a second consistantly with the bh hitting with his rifle 1 timea little less then every 2 seconds. The jedi ran, cloaked, regened his force, then came back 3 times.Myself, 2other people plus the jedi and bh were witness to it. It was really hitting him that that quickly. And the next day another jedi friend of mine had a run-in with the same bh and saw exactly the same thing. He was amazed as well. So he went and bought a droid of the same specs and tried it out on me and it was no where near as fast. It hit for around the same damage but still not anywhere nearas fast.

Then you my friend have found an exploiter. I suggest forwarding the combat logs and description of the events
to your nearest convenient CSR.
Keep in mind that server density is not always a good indicator of whether or not lag will occur. There are 'things' players can do in order to create client-side lag, which then translates to server lag, which would then result in the behavior you describe. (multiple hits in one second, ultra-fast appearing movement)
The abilities you describe are not typical of any droids' combat abilities, pre CU or not.

Back in the day, probots had an awesome ROF at .75 seconds per shot @ around 180 damage. They fired like a machine gun. But all that got nerfed (retroactively) so now I think it's supposed to be 2 seconds/shot. If the droid truly is hitting as fast as you say, it's a freak of nature or someone is using an exploit, as one poster pointed out.

I'm sitting here trying to think of how somebody could exploit that. Speed hack programs (illegal) should only affect the person not the droid. You can do some buggy things with macros and a toons specials currently to make yourself fight faster. I can't think of what would make a droid do that.
Theoretically,pre-cu and current combat droids, assuming both are maxed should be equal, unless there is some factor we don't know about.
The client / server lag can lend for some odd combat logs, even though you may not be lagging yourself.

Occasionally I've seen /follow cause droids to warp to the person they're supposed to be following, so it's possible that the BH was just telling the droid to /follow the Jedi reapeatedly. That being said, anytime I hear a Jedi complaining about a BH using an "exploit" to attack them, I'm kinda suspicious. If you have a screencap I'd like to see it.

I will try and get a screenshot from a friend, the second Jedi who fougth him. I didnt think to get a screenshot of my combat logswhile I was watching it saturday morning. But im not even a jedi and that droid bugged me.
Ooh and it couldnt of been a doc speed buff cause the bh took it out and put it away once or twice and that clears any buffs on it. And the bh was not a doc himself. He hada couple more then5 badges and only 2 profs listed under that bh/rifles, Im sure he also had the cm healing tree as well.
here is a screenshot of the logs

Last night I got attacked by a bh with a probot droid shooting very fast as well. It was only hitting me for 75dmg, but it was like a machine gun. The red 75s going up over my head were non stop, and looked to be more than 2 per second.
I thought it was the coolest thing ever. The BH just walked up, sat down for a few seconds, then a droid popped out and started wailing on me. I survived by retreating hastily. I thought I would come here to see if I could find out how to get one for myself. The bh told me that normal heals heal the droid now, so a simple force infusion would give me an indestructable machine gunner for 40 seconds or so
.
Anyway, I'll check my combat log, but I don't think there was any lag involved and the droid was definitely hitting me faster than once per second. If there are any droid engineers on flurry who want to test any of this out I would be happy to help, I would also be happy to buy a few of these things off of ya.

Me thinks I know how this is done... Me also think posting it will allow more people to use it... I've expiereced 2 ways in which to make a droid attack much quicker... One was a sort of accident in the mydril caverns... Was quite cool
