Eventually the game will be completely overrun with jedi - they willultimately be their own undoing. =\

Nah, the Devs are currently in the process of fixing the problem. They cant simply remove Jedi, or people would quit. What their doing is slowly and systematicaly nerfing Jedi to the point where nobody wants to be one(except for your truly die-hard roleplayers), and eventualy all the l33t Jedi who just want to be PvP gods, which everyone hates, will start playing their alts and pick up normal proffessions and the GCW will come back. It all honesty, its the best way the Devs can go about this problem, and rather ingenius of them too.

um... how does this approach prevent people from quitting again?

Besides dude.. most of us are just waiting for LOTR online to come out.. SWG is just getting long in the tooth.. and has never worked 'right' we just Love the concept so much we live in denial

He is right I can pretty much keep up with any Jedi as a MTK/Doc 4004/MBrawler/Swords 0034. Normally unless they are outstanding jedi it ends with them calling for backup as they run out of force, or running and cloaking. Not trying to brag but just point out that Jedi aren't near as powerful as they use to be when they would giggle as I approached them ready to fight and they would blink their eyelids and my neck would snap. I remember way back in the day a jedi fully decked out in comp armor ran up to 3 guilds defending 3 bases, one of the guild which I was in. We had about 30-40 guys there defending the base. The jedi runs around and destroys about 25 of us while we are ALL shooting at him and then blows up a few turrets, killed some pets and NPCs we had running around and then ran off faster than I have seen anything move in this game. That was when they should have been heavily penalized for dying considering their strength. Now personally I think that BH's who take missions and fail them should be penalized and lose xp. It would really make a BH think twice before picking up a jedi mission. Why should someone who is forced intoPvP be penalized when they lose yet the one who forces the PvP upon the other player receives no penalties?

*edit: and, oh yeah, er... shut up.

BH's are penalized you stupid newb. They lose their time, effort, foods, armor decay, etc etc. Not every bounty hunter can afford to get the best weapons and armor and ADK it all. Especially with the rates armor and weapons decay now.

The most ANY jedi can lose (at full template) is 452k xp. That's a full template jedi who can make that back within 2 hours max in a full spin-area group. As can ANY jedi that maintains CL 80 with the normal profs and gets atleast 0020 Lightsaber.

All of you would rather cry about underpowerment instead of making yourself better. Jedi technically ARENT forced into PVP, they can run and hide, cloak, etc. There are plenty of escape tactics that far outweigh anything any normal prof could do (aside of a smuggler feigning). A jedi snared on FR1 is faster than a BH without burstrun, with is barely able to stay with them before the snare and burst die and then the jedi is off to the races again forcing a bh to pull his bike and get it blown up as it approaches.

BH's lose plenty on failed missions. You're not a BH so until you are, and know what they go through during hunts, shut YOUR mouth and take your melee stacking tail back to the proper boards, You, nor ANY crybaby-awe-boohoo-my-saber-sucks-jedi are wanted here.

ROFL. You are calling us n00bs? Listen "vet" n00b.... They are making debuffs overpower buffs. This means that FR will be automatically negated by snare...and then snare will take effect. It is like the Jedi never had FR. So before you go around starting to claim they can run and hide, read the forums. They are FORCED into hiding. They are forced to pvp, or forced to sit and do nothing or even log to avoid pvp. The Jedi pays for the same food and vehicles BHs get blown up. They also ultimately lose more time because they have to regrind lost xp. I was suggesting some xp loss for BH, certainly being "more powerful" in some situations the Jedi should lose more, but the BH should still lose some. No one forced the BH to go PvP like they did the Jedi. The BH knows the risks of what he may lose, condition on his armor, a bike, some food, but the BH decides to go and hunt a Jedi anyways, therefore if they lose especially with the new adjustments to debuffs, they should lose xp. I do not mean lose xp when they fail mission as in other BH gets kill or they choose to quit mission, but as in the Jedi kills them. The point of what everyone was saying though was that Jedi are not near as powerful now as they were back in the day and that is why they are not/ should not lose xp EVERYTIME they die.
