Thread: Now that Jedi heals are sucking up mind (8-10% per heal i hear) traumatize will be important
Um....that's totally wrong.
1. Jedi don't get any defense with offense, like BH's. They have to balance spending a lot of SP's for a little defense, and a lot of SP's for ofense, and a lot od SP's for a heal ability and a lot of SP's for the abilty to recharge a bar that you don't have to even worry about.
2. LS damage at Master [ever more SP's] is about 900 with the best action sucking moves and isn't sutainable, even with lower action cost the timers prevent it. The proton carbine outdamages a LS by far.
3. elemental damage isn't a boost except in PvE since all other player weapons will be getting same boost.
4. unless a Jedi diverts SP's from offense, healing and force recharge they don't get to block your damage with armor.

900 damage every couple of seconds is 450 dps. What's the damage on your weapon?

Right now it is fun, a good 15-20 minute fight tactics involved, a BH's higher damage vs our better healing tanking abilities, you looking to overpower us, us looking to avoid and counter.
Now that Healing is on par with that is available to every combat prof and yet our damage is still lower why would I stay and fight? fun is a good fight not a onesided affair. While the possible 5 on 1 situation exists would you stay and die just for fun? last time I checked dieing in a few seconds was not fun.
If they want to balance jedi healing with normal classes great but they need to add damage to compensate, we used to be able to fight in a long fight because we could heal up damage now that ability has been blanced but our damage output has not been balanced, if anything our one powerful attack has been nerfed.
I love BH vs Jedi encounters and I'm all for balance, what the devs have propsed is not balance
Sounds like you are looking for a I win button. PVPing jedi have sabers that can already do 900 damage every couple seconds with master sabers and that is wothout the upcoming elemental damage fixes. Force powers and sabers are looking at cost decreases with the upcoming patch. Jedi on test center have reported a move that has a timer and has hit for upwards of 2k damage with a saber. Lightningand choke are very effective offensive weapons.
Jedi offense is not gimped the problem is all the jedi who put their skill points into defender/enhancer/healer and only take up x4x4 sabers. If I put all my skill points into TKM/Doc and novice brawler I would be offensively challenged too. The only jedi who are offensively gimped are those who dont put any skill points into offense!

Just a thought....DO NOT POP-A-GLOW STICK IN PUBLIC AND YOU WONT BE HUNTED...Thanks... and remember, Order 66 = permadeath
I dontbut playing PvE you still can get on terms damn NPC's even after I'm forced to kill them they still manage to radio in, that for they are using the WoW ghost walking method to inform Lord Vadar. All joking aside it is very hard to stay off the terms if you want to play Jedi as a Jedi not being able to hunt with friends is a real downer, the only option is not play my jedi but pickup my rifle to hunt with friends, whilst thats great and can be done playing a jedi is what I want to do and being hunted is all part of that, all I ask is balance.
That's by design. Can't go around robbing BH's of content. Why do you think Jedi are forced to group to get reasonable amounts of exp? Because that was an opportunity to give BH's more content. The old system just wouldn't do. You could actually advance by not getting on the terms. We can't have that. Think of the BH's.
THIS is why I'm saving my "token respec". I used my very last respec and took a chance to go XXXX,XXXX, MBH, 0003 XXXX. I knew little about the profession, and had never played it before (TC, respecs, other characters) a month ago. I really like the states, and although I'm not anywhere near the "damage" dealer I was before, the states and healing really made up for it. The reason I'm holding onto my token respec was because I saw the vaule of the XXXX, XXXX template BEFORE a lot of changes were being made. I still wasn't as successful as other templates, but the fights did last much longer (before the Jedi goes running into a house). Then came changes made to the Jedi profession with Action and Mind cost. While I disagree with these changes, I can also see why they were implemented. One side of me thinks, "If heals and speical moves cost action and mind...WHAT THE HELL IS THE FORCE FOR"? Another side of me though, "If the Jedi uses only Force for everything, what the hell are action and mind used for?" I still don't think the answer is clear, or everything has been released (changes to Jedi). It just seems to me that the Devs didn't want Jedi using a different "combat system" then the rest of us.
So here I sit...I took a chance at XXXX, XXXX and found it to be effective even before the changes listed on TC, and I'm holding onto my token respec, because I can feel the "nerf in the air". I can't help but laugh though...seriously. I FINALLY found an over looked template that worked well for my playstyle, only to have it look nerf-worthy a month latter due to the very changes the Devs themselves are making. Hell, last night I was complimented by a MLS Jedi, saying, that although I did lose the duel, I did far better then most non-Jedi he has seen. Now it looks to be nerfed sometime soon. I can't help but take it personal...."Hey, look at Tubeck, he's actually....effective." "We better overpower it so we can nerf it back to a weaker level, this way it won't look like a nerf". LMAO Will I ever win without uber loot and weapons?
