Good question. I need to be held accountable for whatever lunacy I offer up. I am refering to the old messages when Jedi would first come into being on the server. Vader would tell us to watch out for them and report them. I expanded it a bit for my RP'ing. I could make a case from the movies as well if I was inclined. Didn't Obi say (episode 4) that the empire hunted the Jedi to near extinction. Perhaps it was me (with some help from Vader)
You are right my friend the empire did at one time hunt the Jedi to extinction.
In the Movie you saw Obi'wan and then Yoda training Luke. Never once did Vader or a Bounty Hunter get sent after them.
Infact in one case Luke and Ben where training in front of Han and chewie.Tiggs said even after time Vader would feel a Jedi training.
Then why didn't Vader feel Luke and Ben or Luke and Yoda training (which was longer I would guess). Could there be a possible limit to Vader and the Emperor rangeto sense Jedi's.
I mean Vader didn't sense the force on Luke until the Dog fight with him over the Death Star.
He also didn't sense his "Old Jedi Master" until Obi was in the Death Star trying to help the Priincess escape.
In this time period Jedi are presume to be all dead so there would be no reason for Vader or the Emperor to be looking for them. This is why no one was searching forYoda and Obi.
Wouldn't you think if Vader and the Emperor knew Yoda and Obi were alive they would have gone out of there way to find them?
It logical to assume if a Jedi Trains with a Jedi Master or group with allies and is out in the Wilderness in a distant planet Vader and the Emporer would have no clue of it.

the game is far from the movies, its a fact and it just is what it is. like in movies or books you need to be consistent in the world you create.
if your going to have imp crackdown then imps should be like the WW2 Nazi Germanywith kids ratting out parents for not conforming to the rules. the rebels should be extremely loyal to eachother and those that work contrary to the rebel cause for example BH rebels hunting rebels should be dealt with very harshly. and removed from the faction and given a negative faction rating in the very least.
The reason i suggest inv xp loss and possibly box regression is that you have to have inv 3 to hunt jedi. why would someone give you jedi missions if you have failed in the past without paying your dues again proving yourself worthy. the only loss in that tree is a bit of ranged mitigation and the ability to hunt jedi..
You talk of the exploit possibility of jedi getting 3500 xp for killing a BH with his mission.. lets look at that.. it takes some time to get the mission and the dna sample etc then lets say the jedi kills bh RIGHT there.. earns 3500 that would take hours to do what can be done in 2 lairs. not to mention that this person is still gaining vis from all this fighting and that another bh who is ALSO right there can just run in and kill him for a large xp loss.... very counter productive..
Also currently there is still the clone camp issue so bh's have exploits that work much better.

I ve also seen BHs grouping up with jedis to hunt. And Jedis group with other people to give them some time to handle the BH while he/she is fighting the players mobs thrown at him. Both sides can group up, but he attacking side has a good chance for to initiate a good combo, before the jedi reacts.
Btw. most BH/jedi combo groups shout WE VE PAWNED YOU all in caps.

I got one question IF BHs take an Investigation xp loss what will this give you? You can't kill the BH now due to what they like to call gank squads. The Bounty hunters kicking your butt now as it is, BHstaking an xp is not going to help that.

i dont need a thing,but to know that im not the only one risking something when confronted by a BH.. i dont NEED anything from them.. and honestly i have a more than winning average.. but speaking of averages.. 100 people hunt you your going to get caught off guard at some point and die.. no matter who you are and thats IF bh's just went solo.
The very fact that a BH controls the encounter is huge. BH's choose the time, the place, their buff status,food intake,and have surprise - all of these are HUGE advantages. so BH's crying over the idea of a little xp loss is disheartening.

hehe im not crying i was just asking what would you guys gain from this. 90% of the post about xp loss is about Bh killing jedi somany times they go way into dept. If this is the case then whats an xp loss for the bh going to do. there are better ways to do this. then to just say hey lets give BHs an xp loss. I am no big fan of any prfession taking an xp loss but if this would make you guys feel better then thexp loss should go all the way down the list. I myself would not hunt a lvl 2 knight solo. i would take a friend or 2, so every one i take with me should take an xp loss too. if their a BH or not. I know for a fact that a knight can take care of them self when it comes to one on one with a BH. but the real problem in in the padawan stage. an xp loss for bh will not help them it would hurt them more. you really think the BH population and gank squads will disappear if this goes into effect. I think it would go the other way. I think jedi would be hunted and hated even more.

Problem is that they want jedi to be hunted constantly, and they want the BH to have the upper hand. Been jedi to long to think otherwise by the way they work the system. You said you have been killed under the new system, Im curious as to the TEF clearing....does it clear on death (meaning can you be ressed by a doc without TEF still in place)? Or does it clear on cloning only (In which case BH will continue to camp jedi Corpses)?

Please Devs and I am asking politely, shut off the bh terms till you fix this....
this is nuts.....i would like to play my jedi without the constant worry of being exploited on.....i had already gone thru it once in refusal to log off till a csr came to help.......i lost 700k the first time and csr helped because it was a bad bug clone camping jedi's......
but i had a 2nd incident of same kind ending in 1.4 mill in the hole to bh griefers.....and that is when the most you lost was 200k.......so with taht said....
please enough is enough......we would like to play bug free.......shut off bh terms liike you did in the past because you knew they were buggy...
let us have our enjoyment at least for a little while till you turn them back on and fix the visual problem....

Their idea of bug fixes is horrid. The current sytem is so far from working as they stated it should that I am led to believe that the Devs are also in a galaxy far far away.
I was on TS with a friend that was in his private house when a BH with his mission was able to walk in and initiate combat and then DB him. (He has Master powers in his build, so of course he never stood a chance).
Not only did he lose nearly 400k of XP from the DB he still has multiple missions for his Jedi listed on the terminals, and for even more money than before the DB.

Remember our posts the other day..
But no terminals are broken but dont turn them off just clear all visibility thus wiping all jedi missions. If people then get visible thats their own fault (and yes the system sucks for vis but it is possible not to gain it).
