Master BH could not be learned in a week in the context of a swg universe, and also not respec'd every 12 hours.

Remeber the most feared BH in all the galaxy? Boba and Jando both got wasted at the hands of jedi.biwan:

Hmm, Boba Fett met his demise at the hands of a blind smuggler

Jango fought ObiWan (who we now know was el primo badd arse) to a stand still on Kamino, killed a jedi master in one shot and then died on account of a wardrobe malfunction (damn broken jetpacks!)

and don't even get into the respec deal, I can't count how many jedi I saw on the terms jump from 100-150k to 225k missions in a WEEK because of double xp and respec.

Really?

Hmm, seems to me that of all the Jedi that got ganked by CloneTroopers in EpIII only one, Yoda, sensed anything in time to fight back. The rest, including Masters from the coucil just got their respective arses shot to pieces.

But on to the original argument, yes, the "machine-gun" nature of saber throw is pretty lame.

Yeah, Yoda a bad mo fo. However, I think a lot of the other jedi had sensed it too it just they were surrounded by hundreds of CloneTroopers and Yoda only had two to dispatch.

Yoda ftw btw

Yeah, Lil' Old Spice was a nasty lil bugger.

But watching the culling of the Jedi, they were clueless until they were surrounded... or shot. Poor Aayla, teh hot twi'lek jedi, she didn't even get to ignite her saber.

If you want realism compared to what we have seen in the movies Jedi should have 99.9% sabre block, deflect bolts back and kill people, kill people with one hit, etc etc. And anyone in Imperial armor should get like -1000 accuracy.

QFE - u rule dude. -1000 rofl

If I wear my hear like Leia do i get +10,000 accuracy. IIRC, she is the only person in the Star Wars movies to never miss a shot.

Okay...but then I am NEVER taking my helmet off!

If you wear your hair like SlaveGirl Leia, you get +10000 with Pike

While were on the subject of unrealistic stuff, I dont remember the part in any boks or movies where little roles of tape made a jedi use his lightsaber faster. I definitly dont remember krayt dragons dead carcass being harvested to be installed into the Bounty Hunters Pistol to make it shoot faster with more power. I dont remember acklays somehow holding onot interwoven RIS schematics. Umm lets see I could go on for ever.

I don't remember wookies, twileks, (insert alien species here) Being in the empire.

I don't remember bounty hunters launching an IMPERIAL droid to find their mark with in minutes throughout the galaxy.

Jedi dont have Inate armor in real SW. If they get hit by a blaster, it hurts them as much as it would hurt Han Solo. It is very hard to hit them, but if you do, they can die. Up with the Jedi defenses, make em harder to hit, but they take normal damage.

Jango fought ObiWan (who we now know was el primo badd arse) to a stand still on Kamino, while Boba was using the ship to shoot blasters at him, killed a jedi master in one shot and then died on account of a wardrobe malfunction (damn broken jetpacks!)

I always love how people seem to forget that part of the movie, like Jango and Obi-wan were alone on the platform......ship blasters had nothing to do with Obi-wan ending up unarmed....or Jango using his rocket...or wrist gadgets to keep him that way...should read that an Unarmed Jedi managed to fight Jango, and Boba to a stalemate.

As a side note I'm curious as to how a malfunctioning Jetpack had anything to do with Jango being unable to shoot Mace before losing his head....

Bottom line is that the movies show us, that Jedi can be caught unprepared. There was no hostile intentions beind the clone troopers prior to the order being given, so no forwarning for the Jedi....how ever we see what happens when Jedi have a little notice..they put up a valuable defense.

lol, I was just going to say that. If a jedi wasn't plastered to the ground his whole fight with a BH he wouldn't have to through his saber at them constantly.

Wow....I didn't expect this thread to explode like this. I'm not a baby whining about saber throw (I've only fought like 5-6 Jedisince I mastered a year ago - killed 2)....and I know this is not a realistic game (DUH!), just made a simple comment is all. Anyway, after reading this thread, I did however conclude that saber throw ought to be nerfed to like 20m, but saber block ought to get back to like 80%. That way the BH can kite (er... strategize), and the Jedi can defend.

To be honest, the most unrealistic thing (and annoying if I may say) to to see a large scale Jedi fight....I mean seriously, about 5-6 Jedi chasing about 4-5 other jedi thru Theed and about a dozen other loons watching, shooting, and causing lag Hell. Argggg.... I'll shut-up.
