PVP rating based named bounties
the pvp rating mechanic, with a minimal amount of coding would allow BH's to step into a larger world of pvp facing a greater variety of opponents....it would be relatively simple and straightforward....this would be an opt in system directly based on a players pvp rating....all characters start at 1200 pvp rating...to raise this rating requires killing other players, on a more frequent basis than you are, yourself killed...surely there are consequences when one takes a life....example pvp based BH missions are displayed below
1201-1250 Anonymous Thug/Dissident 2 possible missions open
1251-1300 Anonymous Outlaw/Insurgent 3 possible missions open
1301-1400 Anonymous Murderer/Terrorist 4 possible missions open
1401-1500 Anonymous Serial Killer/Guerilla 5 possible missions open1501-1600 Named Psychopath/Revoloutionary 2 possible missions openetc etc etcthis system would be self regulating as BH's (and Jedi too for that matter) would be subject to the same standards and since you have to actively engage in pvp in order to accumulate pvp rating, and you pretty much have to intend to elevate your pvp rating in order to do so, and it is very easy to get rid of, it would ensure no one was unfairly victumized. it would allow BH's to still pursue named targets...and above all...seems to me it would make senseFYI I'm >1700 pvp rating

This is not a bad idea. The problem I see with it is that you can gain PvP rating from group PvP and from 1-vs-1 PvP, two kinds of engagements that are totally different from each other. My rating currently is 1366 and I got it mostly through group PvP, rooting / dazing opponents or teaming up with other riflemen on the same target in battles of 20 vs 20 or more. I doubt PvP rating gained by doing crowd control in group PvP says anything about the ability to take on people 1 vs 1, since crowd control is not damage dealing or healing.

Hey maybe I reallyam a Jedi pretending to be a Bounty Hunter. Hmmmm......or is it the other way around?

I dunno, I personally think that this new patch will make people Bounty "hunt" a lot more, rather than bounty gank or bounty bottom feed.

I disagree with the "quest" theme as well. Call me an elitest...but I'd rather see the DWB brought more "in line" based on the strength of non-Jedi players and make it "off limits" to Jedi. Right or wrong...it has, and always will bother me that it takes a group of mostly Jedi to obtain armor NOT used BY Jedi.
Truth be told...even if the Devs DID change Mando into a quest...THAT would probably take a group of Jedi to complete as well. No real change.
what are you looking for IN a BH armor type though

I feel that our profession has taken a major hit. The Jedi are getting all sorts of new items (Robes, Sabers, ect...)in coming patches. I believe we as Bounty Hunters need a little love in future patches aswell. I hope that each of you will read this post andpush forit.I think our Profession needs a boost right now and this would provide an incentive for those of us who have no interest in becoming a Jedi. If anyone has any other ways to improve on this idea...Please, Tell us what you think...ALL ideas are welcome
