Keep hunting them, you guys are going to get nerfed.

I'm a FOTM BH and I love it. I'm just completely staying off of my padawan despite what anyone is saying, they just cannot be leveled w/ out vis, and due to the high amount of BHs taking missions, being on the terms is just going to end negatively (considering you have to hunt on adventure planets, no safe houses).

So instead of grinding, Ii'll just kill the other jedi and force them into hiding so more people can be affected by this issue. And its pretty dam fun too. I get paid, get to kill the opposition of knights and get to participate in a FOTM. I'm enjoying it.

Is there an element of the "Upnerf" that somehow magically gives visibility to Jedi so they end up on the terminals even if they don't do anything to cause it?

Yes there is. It is the fact that the only practical way to gain experience now is by grouping. Solo play as a padawan is completely limited to gaining approximately 20-30k of exp per hour with a LS XX44 template. Just in case you don't quite get the significance of this itequates to several years of grinding to complete a full template.

This is the Padawan equation: Grouping = Visibility = Death = Net Loss of Experience =Frustration = Cancelled Accounts. If the griefing and frustration of fellow gamers makes you happy then I really think you might need some counseling.

As a Jedi and a BH, I can say that all the insta-BH's have seriously unbalanced the game. It was a mistake to let every Tom, D!ck, and Wookie become a Jedi-hunter FOTM.

There are a lot of noob BH-wannabes who just got their hands on daddy's gun and can't wait to shoot everything they see. But they didn't learn any real appreciation for the role like those of us who spent weeks grinding the investigation tree and actually earned the title of 'Master'. It's really too bad. I have now seen a new level of immaturity come out because achieving L337-ness no longer has a sense of accomplishment.

My recommendation for all the insta-BH's: go back to playing console games. You can still punch in your cheat codes there and play God mode, you just won't be griefing other RL people in the process (even though I know full well that the most immature of you actually get your rocks off doing exactly that).

Good post, Mujadaddy.

1. I don't care if they're curious. Jedi have done enough damage to the game, and my blaster along with those from a few other BH's is the only thing keeping KoTOR online from becoming Jedi Academy Online; like there's much of a difference. If you guys don't like that, I highly recommend Warcraft online, where you can take your axe swinging orc wherever you want and it won't bother us one bit.

Didn't play either of those games, so I don't get the subtle difference there.

2. Despite popular belief, if every single Padawan quit tomorrow, this game WOULD be better off. At the very least it would continue running. Star Wars Galaxies will not drop dead because there's no more Padawans. Freakin Force Drama skill....

It's not the lack of Padawans I'm talking about -- it's the lack of subscribers shutting down the game.

3. And if we leave them alone for two weeks we'll have even more ub3r-t3h-1337 Knights running around "pwning" everyone... What you suggest isn't a solution, it's a nice way to double the problem.

Wrong. They can NOT get enough xp to finish their templates ------- If a "miracle hotfix" comes along tomorrow, restoring the ability of paddies to grind more xp solo, then you can ignore everything I've said here. I'm talking about RIGHT NOW the Upnerf in Live changes everything.

So from your responses I draw the following conclusions: First, you're a Padawan nearing the point where you officially become "ub3r" and are asking the entire BH community to leave you alone for two weeks, so that you have just long enough to finish your template under the new system without interruption. Next, is that you think by insulting the BH communities intelligence (Tanks withstanding) that you can guilt trip us into leaving you alone for those two weeks citing "The big bad bounty hunter can't let me level for a whole two weeks without fighting me."

Ok, wrong. I have combat prowess 4001 and enhanced reflexes 2000 . . . I only have 1 account; I didn't holo-grind, I didn't Grenade-Exploit either. Jedi is a LONG-TERM goal for me, not a quick-and easy route to power (I'm already 00b3r ).

Show me where I've insulted anyone's intelligence.

Every Jedi may be an enemy of the Republic, but at this point, I'm just tired of seeing them in the game. Jedi in SWG is officially the most retarded idea to date, topping Jar Jar Binks himself... And even I didn't think that could be done. Jedi screwed up this game, and I'm going to kill ten Jedi for every single time I had one run to water and log out, afk in their house, exploited to crash me to desktop, aggroed a Jedi Master on me, transferred Force in a fight after telling me they wanted a 1v1, or generally did anything completely childish and pathetic... We can have this conversation again once I get done.

A-duh. Why do you think I went BH? As far as taking your aggressions out on Jedi, w/e, why don't you grief the Knights and 'Club-Masters instead of the kiddies? Padawan's never busted up a good PvP event for me --- Just Knights.

Jedi built the box and dug the hole. I just nail the coffin shut.

I view my role as a member of the Galactic Civil War to be that of the assassin. If a Jedi is contributing to his faction in the field, it's my job to strike from a prepared position and take his ass out of the fight.

AGAIN, LET ME SAY WHY I MADE THIS POST ----

For the good of the game as a whole!!!!

I don't want people to quit this week, joining all the other cancellations, b/c you have some sort of saber-hate that can only be satisfied by padawans that can't possibly give you a good fight.

If too many people quit the whole game folds. The WHOLE GAME. Think about it.

At any rate, the easy first pickings since the respec started are probably over. Jedi may have been excited to test out the new system, but now have been driven deep underground. All of those noob BH's are going to find their marks a lot harder to find from now on. The Jedi are starting to stick together and warn the less experienced of their profession to be cautious. Along with some understanding BH's, they now have the knowledge not to go out in daylight when they are on the terms. How's that for the new balance? As for me, I will help a Jedi long before I help another BH. I consider it a public service.

Hopefully this mess will all blow over when the re-spec period comes to a close and the L337-noobs get tired of using up their skill points on the invest tree.

All the paddies on my server seem to magically 'play' while never leaving their houses. I do keep their missions every now and then though, just for those times I catch them out.

Hunt paddies, hunt them to extinction. It is part of the game after all

To all of you who say "I'll keep hunting them till they quit the game!" crap, who the heck are you to try and stop others from playing the game they pay for? If you are hunting Jedi for the fun of the game, that's one thing, but this whole "Hunt them till they all quit cuz I don't want them here" crap is the kind of grief that WILL eventually lead to the end of player bounties in this game.

I pay to play my character just as you pay to play yours. It's your job to punish me for breaking the visibility rules, NOT to try to force me out of this game!

AND what I'm trying to get "them" to realize is that they DO NOT want ANY MORE players quitting for the next few weeks . . . or bye-bye SWG . . .

I understand that, and for that I appreciate you for showing some compassion for the "other side of the coin"... it's the "hunt them into extinction, they don't belong in this game!" responses I am refering to. SWG made the choice to implement Jedi player characters, it's not any other player's right to revoke that choice.
