good point on the ranged.......of course if your friend is 35 meters to the left of the target and you are 32 meters to the right of it.....let me think thats 67 meters if i remember my first grade math........

Not only was it my first kill, it was my first Jedi mission. I'd like to thank all of you veteran Bounty Hunters out there for giving me hundreds of dirty trick ideas. The following details are 100% true and not embelished - and better yet, I haven't seen this particular tactic mentioned on the Forums before, although I'm sure thousands before me have done it.

My mark is on Tatooine, so I'm assuming AFK in a house or Krayt Hunting. The seeker droid lets me know my mark is in Mos Eisley. So right away I'm thinking Cantina. Perfect place to blend in under the radar. Perfect. I immediately head to the side wall and start waching a dancer. In the meantime, I'm listening to my mark in roleplay conversation with two other Jedi IN the cantina, and by the looks of things, I've just missed a duel. Damn!

Ah, but patience is a virtue, as they say. Just when I think my mark is leaving the cantina for greener pastures, it turns out he decides to roleplay as a pimp on the main steps at the entrance. Here's where straight up dirty tactics comes into play. My roommate, another Bounty Hunter who had just logged out, suddenly gets the bright idea to log in, come to the cantina, and goad my mark into a duel. And I'm thinking, "Oh yeah. Please, please let this work." Bear in mind that our two computers are right next to each other. While my Jedi mark is pimping imaginary twi'leks to other patrons, I run out the back door and meet my buddy in the alley. After all, free buffs from a Master Doc never hurt anyone. My buddy moves in to start talking to my mark while I stand in one of the Alcoves (hoping Wuher doesn't bust me out) and suit up. Armor macros are a wonderful thing.

I miss most of the spatial dialogue as I was too far away, but no matter. My parter in crime is sitting next to me in real life, so I get the important details. My mark actually accepts a duel from my friend, (Jedi are a proud bunch, after all) and I start to worry for just a second. The Jedi's health isn't dropping, because my friend is doing nothing but staying alive. At the perfect moment when his health finally does start to drop, I come running around the corner, brand new FWG5 blazing my advanced critical shot that I've had for about twenty minutes. Jedi dropped so fast that I had the deathblow on him and was out the cantina door before he knew what hit him. I sent him to the clearing at the end of the path, Gunslinger Style. I could have used a CDEF pistol, it was that easy. My friend summed it up best:

"OWNED."

In the Jedi's defense, he took it like a man. I never got so much as a tell, and he knew he just got worked big time. For you Bounty Hunter haters that will inevitably flame this post and my tactics, surely even YOU agree that showboating with your lightsaber at the Mos Eisley Cantina, arguably the most famous location in SWG, is just plain ASKING for it.

Dirty deeds done dirt cheap. If you call 250,000 credits cheap. I don't fight fair, I fight to win. And now, on to bounty number two...

Woot! Don't let anyone flame you or your friend. You said it best, when the Jedi accepted the duel from a random guy, in front of ME Cantina, he was asking for it.

That's how we do it.

Exactly what I did for my first full-template kill. Actually, the duel didn't work, the jedi owned my friend. So, instead, they went hunting together (XD), and via voice chat, they cued me in when the jedi was in 1/6 health, with my rifle, end of story.

As both an MBH (6 times over now) and a Jedi (since January 2004), if that's your friends definition of 'owned' then he needs to find a new hobby.

Katalisha Sagio ~ Elder Jedi Guardian, Master Politician, Rebel Pilot

Nikilishia Sagio ~ Master Shipwright, Pirate Scum - Custom Orders Welcome

Lishia Meran ~ Dancing the night away, as it's the only fun left on the ground!

Its people like you who make me proud to be a bounty hunter

I just had a similar experience, I found my bounty in Coronet and desided not to attack right away and wait for an oppertunity to present its self. Sure enough after about 10 min he enterd a duel with a friend of his he had been talking to, I waited till he was at about half health and finished him off with my scatter gun.

OMG he was P/Oed keept getting tells on how I was dishonarable and what not, told him Hey im a BH, I kill for a living, besides where does it way that I have to be honerable?

The whole thing broght a smile to my face

And that's all I'm saying. Seriously now, one of our profession trees is called "Dirty Tricks." Anyone with a "CTRL" and an "S" key on their keyboard can check this out if you don't believe me. You have to push them both at the same time. This is also a good resource so you can STOP asking everyone what skills X profession has .
