First off yes it was a thrill, second off I do not go bringing peoples personal life into this thread but you seem to need to. If you would have read the first thing you would see that I have little to no time to play since it took me over a year and half to get this far. I would reccomend that you look at why you need to try and bring others down instead of posting. Now for the get a life let's see I am married, two kids (Love playing with my kids not playing galaxies all of the time) Great Job as a IT Director at a bank and just finished my degree so back off and don't flame others when you have no idea what you are talking about.

Good response! I love when people who don't even know me just assume I'm a kid or need a life even though I am 30 years old, work a full time job ,and go to college at the same time. There is nothing wrong with a bounty hunter taking pleasure in his work. Good job and keep up the good work.

I have a combat level of 64 so I took a jedi worth 150K I have tried some of the other jedi but even when I got below level 80k bounty they had a CL of 80 so I did not follow through since I did not feel ready (must be a bug) Well it was a nice sunny day on Talus when I took the 150K bounty. After visting my informant I sent a droid to find the mark. Lucky me he was on Tattonie, so hopped in my ship and landed in bestine. Send another seeker out as I hopped on my swope to find this evel jedi. The droid returned is new location and I noticed he was not moving. When I arrived at the waypoint no one was there, thought so sent out another seeker, again it said he was right on top of me. Thought bugged seeker, I will try another then drop mission. The next one came back to the same location I was standing at so I took a few minutes to think what I needed to do. I keep on adding aqnd removing him from the friends list so I knew he was online. As I was ready to leave this jedi came shimmering in view with a AFK title on him. I was a little startled to have a CL80 sitting right next to me so I gave hime a few seconds to make sure he knew I was there. He did not move so I shot him. He stood up and brought his lightsaber out but by that time it was to late, a dead jedi lay at my feet and a extra 150k in my bank account.

So you got killed, get over it. He's not a noob for killing you, and you not having any Jedi skills doesn't mean jack. You're a full combat template when you unlock, and he beat you in a straight up PvP fight when both of you should have been evenly matched.

At no point in a Jedi's career should he or she be easy meat for a BH if he or she has any PvP skill and foresight. You start the grind as a level 80 combatant. Soon you can heal like a Jedi and still use normal profession weapons. After that you pick up your lightsaber and the rest of your template, and all the while you had the ability to kill a BH 1 on 1.

Don't be sorry. It's his fault for getting on the terms to begin with. And if you haven't killed a jedi yet, then a 25k mission is a good start. A Jedi is a Jedi.

How can you possibly get on the terms before you even have one novice box? That's just careless.

Further to my previous post of someone's lying, I have no idea who, but I find it interesting how you managed to build up enough vis to get on the terminals after 'Just unlocking Jedi'... Pretty silly move really.

Just becoming Jedi also means you have your old skills and your template may well be capable of standing up to 'someone's first kill'... After all, at your level, loosing 5K is hardly the end of the world.

I'm a Jedi, so I don't mean to be abnoxious, but I'm having a little struggle to understand some of the surrounding circumstances. But for the record, coming onto the BH forums and calling a BH a smack talker is just asking for trouble. Bite your lip, take the lesson and go grind it back...

Maybe the fact that the only way to get decent xp is in a group, and in a group, you get vis.

That argument is no longer valid.

I- as a 25k Jedi-, have had numerous BHs after me, many of which thought I was an NPC mission.

Then you are obviously hunting NPC's or otherwise being a cretin.

Don't equip robes or sabre except for in group AWAY from starports/cities
Don't ignite sabre except for as above
Don't fight if there are NPC's in range
Don't use force abilities except for as above

I grouped 8 hours a day for 5 days in a row before I got on terminals. I was checking about 200 terminal pages a day.

If you don't have a novice box and you have found your way onto the terminals, you are a cretin.

Ok just logged my first hours in SWG for a while... i decied hey, might as well try hunting some jedi... so i get missions etc and go off to dant... find my mark hunting pickets.... stalk him until he is low on health... run over to him, he force runs away and i get in a swoop... i find him next in water and get out to shoot him.... damn pistol cant shoot 64m anymore so i couldnt hit him, while im struggling to get onto my swoop because its on a stupid cliff and you have to be in the perfect spot to mount, he swoops 5k to a house and im like o great another hiding jedi.... i walk up to the house to talk smack, and i notice there isnt a little red screen in front of the door.... hmmm.... i walk in and waste his A before he hardly has a chance to take out his saber!!

LOL I bet that was a shocker for him!

Heh, a friend was showing me his house tonight (really nice house!) on Tatooine and we were chilling inside. I had no idea his house wasn't set on private and in walks this BHs and starts shooting. I had to apologize to my friend for splattering bounty hunter brains all over his dining room table as neither of us got ejected from the house for fighting.

Sure shocked my friend, he always forgets I'm a Jedi.

Oh..it sure is valid.

What's the maximum range for Pistols? 35 meters.

What's the range on Visibility? 32 meters

So...(get's out Calculator)..... 35 minus 32....hmmm...equals...3.

I think that's a positive number. So, if a Ranged player shoots at the same creature that you attacking and is at 35 meters...according to my extremely complicated calculations....you don't get Visibility.

OMG...This is GameBreaking!!!!

Seriously though...Find some friends who are ranged and are willing to hunt with you. Rifles and Carbines are preferred since the range is 50 to 65 meters.

They all stand in a group and you stand by yourself. All you have to do is hit the creature ONE TIME to get xp.

So you walk up, smack it once with you little glowie stick thingee, and as soon as one of the ranged guys hit it, it's gonna agro them since they hit it for more damage. Rinse and Repeat. No Vis, good xp, and best of all NO Bounty Hunters!!!

And if you cannot find any friends that are willing to hunt with you like this, then you are truly missing the point of a MMORPG.

So go hunt and stay off the terms. It's easy if you try.
