Use traps, it increases your combat xp. Personally I went to Yavin IV and did mamein destroy missions for my 40k

I'm not a rifleman yet. But I'm working on it.

My question is, does it help to put my combat xp to the marksman ranged support abilities? Or should I save them for the rifleman special abilities?

I think it depends on if you wish to be master marksman as well. I think it helps you could try saving it for rifle tree. you don't need much in the marksman tree so going back to get it won't be that hard

What is the easiest way to get combat xp?

some people have said, "it takes forever, just kill stuff"

Others said "use your best gun and ur best skill shots"

any suggestions would be helpful, thanks

You get 10% of the weapon xp for combat I.E 3000 pistol xp grants 300 combat. Easiest wayis to group on a advanced planet or group and hunt the hardest mobs on a starting planet. Mountain squills on tat will grant 3k weapon and 300 combat almost everytime but you will need a group or a strong pet.

"It takes forever, just kill stuff. But use your best gun and your best skill shots."

Well both are true, the 2nd especially if you are in a group, try hitting the same pool as the others to make better XP (unless you think you can make sure it's your pool that take the mob down), and it can also be true if you solo, since you'll get through your foes quickly ..

But it DOES take forever if you are looking for an elite profession like BH, and afterwards you have thousands of them which are useless .. quite funny.

not really any good way to get it fast.. kill higher level mobs you get more per kill, but often takes longer to get the same exp as you would from killing the lowbies.

You can use fragmentation grenades for combat exp, but they are expensive and time consuming to make..

Hey just wondering if anyone had any tips to get combat xp quickly. I have no problem getting lots of rifle xp, but I can almost never get more than 80-100 combat xp per kill. How exactly is combat xp calculated? Does how long the fight last matter cuz most of the time if I can't kill a creature/npc within the first 15-20 seconds I get killed. Thanks for any advice you guys have.

From my experiences you usually get 10 combat exp for every 100 rifle exp you get. I've never gotten anything different or havn't noticed. Except for that time i maxed rifle exp and i was getting 1 combat exp per kill.

use grenades to get combat exp.. you'll get (X) combat exp + (10% of X) combat exp per kill... speeds things up somewhat. C12 grens are what you need.
