Thread: New /duel fix gives away our missions.
Unbelievable. ![]()
As a BH, I'm ashamed of you guys. And you claim that jedi whine? Sure, Luke did. But BH's are hardened. When some obstacle presents itself, you quietly adapt, and ingenuity kills your mark!
C'mon! Jedi read these boards and all they are seeing right now is a buch of whiners! Suck it up and adapt!
And for the one whining that now they have to change they're "proven method", have you ever actually hunted? Even against dumb animals like deer and elk, there is no "proven method". You track your mark, then adjust your "method" to take the kill.
This is no different. Get out there and freaking hunt, and quit ruining the name us long-time BH's are trying to make for ourselves! ![]()

So your saying now that a jedi can find out wether you have his mission when you in a wat 70 meter range? But you can track him through friend list when he signs on and off yah sounds fair to me.

There fixed it for you
I would consider both the trade issue you posted above and the new duel issue to be bugs, so technically using a bug to get gain advantage is exploiting
. Of course, we will have to wait for the devs to confirm these are actually bugs but given that they very clearly stated during fan fest that the main BH advantage was the element of surprise when they were talking about limiting jedi missions to 1 BH only, these bugs rather negate the value of that statement don't they

Maura you are aware that you are that they are not exploiting they are just grinding in a group. Same as what dancer/musicians do They are not useing any bugs to there advantage so your idea of exploiting is wrong. At least now you can actually get a kill from my understading you were a rather large newb when it comes to hunting jedi.

How many of you have had this be an issue for you since it was released? How many of had their element of surprise stripped from them?
Seriously I'm ashamed to be a BH sometimes - especially when other BH's reduce themselves to sniveling the sort of Jedi.
I had this issue affectme this morning at the Rryatt Trail. There was a group of 6 Jedi down there exploiting the wookiees on the Webweaver Path. Usually when I stumble upon my mark I roleplay for a bit, talk a bit, earn the Jedi's trust -- pretend I'm there for the grinding, waiting for the Jedi to show a moment of weakness. But today as soon as I got there I got bombarded with /duel requests, and the Jedi I had the mission on knew I was there for him. There was no roleplaying to be had. There was no challenge of wits. You can't pretend to be grinding. Nothing. He knew I was there for him as such, he stood at alert the entire time, never letting his guard down. Never letting his force get too low.
This might not affect the PvP bounty hunters who always go in guns ablazing without any thoughtand have no concept of what roleplaying is, but to bounty hunters who actually roleplay a bounty hunter, and ACT like a bounty hunter, this bungle totally breaks any opportunity to play a role. It's akin to just announcing that you're there to kill someone upfront. How many people would invite a stranger into his house who told them upfront that he's there to kill him?
Also, why do you think the Jedi who bombard the BH with duel requests do it? It's because it helps them. It lets them know to be on alert or not. If it was no big deal, then the Jedi wouldn't be bombarding the BH with /duel requests.
I don't know why the Devs never even foresaw this happening. It's like none of them are forward thinking.

ok heres a hint to you from a jedi.
Jedi are melee
BHs are ranged.
Why are you even close to him before you attack?
The /duel thing isnt killing your hunt.... you are.

Actually they can /duel you form their grinding spot in teh middle of the island to the end of any nearby bridge. Doesn't seem to have a range anymore.
