I don't honestly know where these Jedi keep thinking that they jedi were the only characters in the movies.

Personally, I never wanted to be a Jedi, never will. I loved the universe and Han was my favorite movie character.

I always wanted to be a pilot in the game and played the old Xwing and Tie fighter games when they were still released on 3.5" disks.

LucasArts wanted to market this game to the prequel crowd, so Jedi got in, and since people felt it was thier "right" to have a saber wielding character, they made getting padawan easier.

I came into the game just after Pub9 and to be honest, this game lost many, many people then because the fight club crowd now had an easy to follow path to what was a powerfull profession they could fight club even more annoyingly than ever before. It was game breaking for them but the numbers of people who couldn't stand to see the franchise get looted left and went to the new game WoW.

To be completely honest, if Jedi were scaled back and the GCW/normal professions were put back as the main thrust of this game, we could see far better numbers than we do now.

As it stands now the path to Jedi is what most of the people are doing because they are led to believe that is all there is here.

BTW, the reason BH was such a high count was not to hunt the "Village Idiots" But it is because that MBH is a great combat profession post CU and compliments any of the other combat professions. The PvE with MBH and Rifles/Carbines/Pistols is fantastic and I've seen posts from Smugglers/CH and Commandos with MBH that are all very successful in the style of play they do. Very few hunt other players.

Generally speaking, BH are not limited by or require jedi at all. The PvP addicts will always have another outlet to get PvP and there will always be a large number of BH who do PvE as a primary focus of thier game play.

Only because there's 5 jedi professions as opposed to one Master BH prof.

I know that, you don't seem tobecause you edited my quote silly. Fixed for you.

No actually I quoted it befor you edited it, silly.

Boba wascontracted to hunt Han by Jabba, but Vader contracted them to hunt Han because Vader was looking to get his hands on Luke and knew that he would have a chance to get Luke by hunting Han.

But because Vader couldn't let it be known that Luke may be a Padawan or have any connection to the old council, he would never have told them they were hunting "Jedi" let alone an opponent who used the force.

But weren't you arguing that we can't count the movies anyway?

I lost track of who said what.....

But the counter argument to the current state of the force using profession in this game is still that calling the vast majority of those players Jedi is like calling Brittany Spears a good role model.

The reality is that most people currently playing with force powers in this game have absolutely no intention of actually playing a jedi, they just want the power.

Jedi powers weren't really focused outside of Telepathy, Mind tricks, Choke, jump/fly, a Sith master power of Lightningand the ability to use a saber for combat. Of those, only choke, lightning and combat are close to the movies and the only real mind trick is cloak.

There is nothing to curb Padawans into actually becoming a Jedi, just some kid with a powered stick and some robes. LucasArts wanted the bucks related to the prequel movies to extend as far as possible. Here we are now watching SOE trying to balance L/A's demands to advertise the franchise and yet still not alienate everyone who couldn't care less about jedi because we are Ep. 4-6 junkies where Jedi was a side story to the war and had characters who wanted to be far more than a whining desert brat who can't even keep a droid from running away.

The fact still remains that BH are not dependant on jedi.

. You myfriend, severly underestimate the draw of the Star Wars franchise,

There's a good reason why our latest expansion costs $30.00 and has 50 quests and 1 new planet.. With no new skills, no new professions, no new races.

That reason is because SOE and LucasArts Overestimated the draw of the star-wars franchise to the point that they thought they could introduce crap code and still keep 1 million subscribers (which was their goal.)

Look around, more people cancel every day then new people sign up. There's no new influx coming. From now on this game will either be made or broken based solely on the quality of publishes, free in game content, and bug fixes. And based on the track record of the developers, That s-h-i-t ain't happenin' bubba.

They did this because of the movies as theres not any movies based on any bhs from the movies at all. not a single one. sorry to burst your bubble. and yeah, youre going to get mad at me but thats the truth. SOE saw this and took advantage of it. THEY were the ones to make it easy to get jedi. SOE.

Jedi : BH should not be able to kill a Jedi.
BH : Why not?
Jedi : Because it never happened in the movies.
BH : Er...yes it did. Episode II. And to be honest in this timeline there very few Jedi in the movies.
Jedi : But this is a game, not the movies.
BH : ???

Rinse repeat. You Jedi roll out arguments about the movies as and when it suits you. Aurra Sing, Boba Fett, Dengar, 4-Lom, IG-88 were all in the movies. Just remind me again what profession were they again? Bounty Hunters.

Oh and you wouldn't see MY hate if you weren't in the BH forum.

and how many Jedi did they hunt???

....And Bingo was his name-oh

Oh lets see in EU, Boba Killed a few Jedi, Collected Lightsabers, Jango killed a few, Episode 2 shows this..

http://www.crossoveresports.com/jedi2.gif

Omg !!111 a normal killing a Jedi master of the council named Trebor!..

BFD did he hunt him....plus that Jedi sucked anyway and holds his lightsabre like a girl, and he was huffing paint before the attack.

Who did Jango kill?..and Who did Boba Fett kill....you guys always say there are no other Jedi in this timeline.

http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/colemantrebor/index.html

Couldn't of sucked that much to get onto the council, could he?.. You need to get it through your block head not all jedi are super hero combatants, they were mostly negioaters, keepers of the peace not soldiers.

About all the council was wiped out by normal Clones, I.E Jango Clones which werent even mandalorian.

Whoa...slow down there skippy
whats with the personal attacks.

So i guess its safe to say that all clones were bounty hunters right...(BTW the clones didn't hunt the jedi...they ganked 'em...except for Yoda and Obi...they hunted them after thier first attempt was thwarted, But Obiwan went LD in the water and Yoda was AFK in his escape pod.)
And answer my question...who did Boba hunt and kill....

*Delvyn*Delvyn*Delvyn*Delvyn*Delvyn*
...is back...

I didn't re-sub
for the game....
I re-subbed to feed my CU PA

Are you really that stupid? can you not read what he has been posting or are you so **edit**ing blind with hate you refuse to see it? He isnt saying there are more jedi than everyone else. Look closer he says jedi and those that aspire to be jedi. Think about it if you are able to do that. How many people started playing star wars in the hopes of becoming a jedi? I would b et at least 70-80%. just cause you and a couple of your idiot buddies dont want to become jedi doesnt mean thats how everyon else felt when they started. If you take jedi away take away everyone that is a jedi, that wants to be a jedi or any future accounts from those that would want to be a jedi. That would kill an already dying game. The fact that there are so many "normal profession" players like you say is you cant start as a jedi so you have to pick a "normal profession" And yes I am have a jedi and yes I have a boun ty hunter in fact I have 4 accounts so I have plenty of "normal" professions I have played since beta. I am so tired of all the bitching on both sides.

Right first up where in the post am I hating anybody? I was pointing out that he had misquoted my post (which now seems to be because there are invalid characters in the post that the forum software removes).

Where does Quad say "Jedi and those who aspire to be Jedi"? Which post are you looking at? The first post Quad makes in this thread (and quoted by you) points out that there are more than 5 Jedi professions, while refering to my post that states that there are fewer Jedi than normals, where do i (or quad say for that matter) there are more Jedi than normals? Who's stupid now?

Furthermore, why is it that players who do not what to be Jedi, posting in their own,non-Jedi forum, are classed as idiots? Who is hating now?

Oh and if you have been playing since Beta you would know that originally, Jedi was to be a virtually unattainable profession, so I find it hard to believe that 70-80% of sign ups wanted to be Jedi. In fact my retail packaging doesn't mention Jedi at all, though it does come with a nice picture of Boba Fett...

Ok I am a big enough man to admit I was wrong. I was mistaken in who you were replying to. However I beleive I am right about the rest. Like I said I am a BH as well so this is also my forum. I have been here since beta and 70-80% is probablly a low estimate as to how many started playing wanting to be a jedi. And if your packaging said nothing about being a jedi you must have got it from ebay. Or you might want to loo a little closer...I will quote it for you...."Follow your own path with a skill-based advancement system, which accommodates your style of play, wether you become a bounty hunter or a dancer or a merchant or even a JEDI". So no are you big enough to admit you wre wrong or will be like some of these other childeren and just keep denying the truth. This game is and Star wars itself is mainly(not completly) about Jedi. It has supporting charactors and professions but its about the jedi and the force and the battle between Good and Evil.

I pray, on my knees, for the day that Jedi are removed from the game, or that you all spontaneously quit. I will /cheer in the Plaza de Theed. Wooohoooo we are rid of these selfish, egotistical power gamers.

Typical, not thinking past the end of your nose.If Jedi go the game will die.Thats not arrogance thats reality.Too many players have a Jedi and worked too long for it and if 50% of the people who have a Jedi quit you won't have a game to play. It's economics pure and simple.Next time be careful what you wish for.

Seriously some of you children need to stop being so hateful.I would prefer fewer Jedi in the game too but the REALITY is they are here and aren't going anywhere.

The fact we could hunt and make some money without all the BS, name calling and sploitz seem to escape some.

So BH gave up EXPLOITS (sploitz is a town in Kansas) and name calling?

OOOOOOOOH now I see its only Jedi that exploit. Is that what you meant? Well gosh golly gee you might want to talk to the 2 BH that came after me on Kashyyyk and used the LOS bug to avoid a death from what they thought was an AFK Newbie Jedi.

What BS are you refering to?Having someone hunt you while you are running NPC missions?OOOOOOOOh wait thats right Jedi are the HUNTED and you are supposed to be the hunter. So why the sad face? Please explain BS.

And before you run your mouth about my screen name I have 2 bh and one Jedi so I can and will comment on the fact that your whining and hatefulness toward Jedi accomplishes nothing but more nerfs for each profession, including my2 BH accounts.

Those of you that choose to be so hateful and throw out these one sided accusations about Jedi being exploiters and being responsible for all the ills of the game really need to step down out of your ivory tower. The bad things we deal with daily IG are the responsabilty of SOE.We simply play what they give us.
