Maybe being a Jedi you don't understand this, but if you go around to some of the cities in the game, there are terminals called "bounty hunter terminals."They're similar to the terminals you pull bol missions from on Dantooine, but instead of bols and pikets and huurtons you pull bounty missions for either NPCs or Jedi. If a Jedi is on the terminals--there's no way to select a specific Jedi to hunt by the way--it is because eithera player or NPC witnessed the Jediillegally using his force powers. If a player wishes to engage in gameplay without generating visibility, he can use an alternate character on the same server. Visibility is an intended part of the game. Likewise, it's not due to a bug or exploit that a Jedi appears on the terminals.

It's not against the rules to attack a Jediany more than it is against the rules for a member of the Special Forces to attack another Special Forces member of the opposing faction. It could be argued that if a player doesn't want to be attacked, he shouldn't declare himself a member of Special Forces, however in order to delegate faction a player must be declared as a member of his faction's Special Forces. As a Smuggler I can purchase faction points from a recruiter and sell them to other players. In order to do this, I must be declared as a member of my faction's Special Forces. When I go on leave after selling the faction points there is a five minute period in which I am still attackable even though I already told the recruiter I wanted to go on leave. The catch is that I know full well going in that I am venerable during this time even though Idon't necessarily want to fight. If I'm attacked, though, I'm not going to blubber like a dumb little baby about people breaking the rules when I knew full well what the rules really were going into the transaction.

What was the point of you writing like that? Makes you sound stupid. Anyways, ALL of the people who are jedi at the current time decided to go jedi Pre-CU (there is no arguing that). With that being the case, in pre-CU jedi were alot stronger and the risks were worth the reward (power). Now jedi is a joke I just watched a GOOD jedi on my server yield a duel to a master doc, TK Pikeman. Jedi is a friggin JOKE. You get all the uber loot you want, but jedi get what.... ? I know whats comin "the ability to hold that saber" or "to be a jedi is your reward" ....... I still want to be EFFECTIVE... and yes the next rebuttle "you have an alt to play with." I don't mind being hunted PERSONALLY, but I have been pvping for a long time and kinda like that kind of gameplay. I believe they should remove xp loss totally so that the heated drama would be toned down.

In any case, you cannot compare being overt to being a jedi (Pre-CU FRS excluded) some jedi do not know they are on the terms, and many of the casual gamers that began their grind LONG ago are now jedi. They want to play the game. Now I know this is way off topic but even tho I posted an answer to thisa page back I will say it one more time....

THE /DUEL WAS FIXED LAST PATCH IN A STEALTH FIX!

I can vouch for this I tried to /duel someone two weeks ago - got nothing but a regular duel request then a minute later he attacks me. This was NOT announced nor made public.. prolly to benefit the BHs.... in any case you are all still complaining. Its over and done with let this thread die becuase its not an issue. If you are still receiving /duels either they are doing it to annoy you or they don't know they fixed it like me.

I tried it with a mission I pulled. I just asked him to /duel me and he said it still gave him the "cannot attack" response. Maybe you forgot to /endduel.

Ok, I have said this before in another post, but you all seem to be so content with ranting that you don't care. They FIXED this a patch ago. It was a stealth nerf/fix, I am a jedi I tried to /duel someone and all it said to me is that I challenged him to a duel and then next thing ya know BOOM he shoots me. This happened TWO WEEKS AGO. I was still /duel ing BHs cause I thought I could still find out. For the jedi who aren't hunted that often they will most likely still do the /duel cause it was a stealth nerf/fix. Get some knowledge before you rant please. Thank you.

There should have been an announcement that this exploit was fixed. However I still report the Jedi that do this for harassment. Even if it doesn't work, they are still trying to exploit.

please show a post from someone that matters that this is a exploit

I could also ask where the proof is that this is working as intended. The statement about there being a stealth fix points towards this being a bug. And using a bug to your advantage is an exploit. It will take some digging, but I can find a post by TH stating that using a bug as an advantage is exploiting and bannable. Weather they fixed it or not, I still consider it to be harassment to spam someone with duel / endduel requests as they're loading up at a starport.

I was a frikking Master Ranger / Master Carbineer, walking around in my house, decorating for crying out loud, and there is a grind group running from our own city, and they have the nerve, two of them, to challenge me to a duel from like 200 meters while I'm still inside my own house! I told them "what the hell, I'm a Master Ranger! Can't I catch a friggin' break from you Jedi?!" They were like "calm down," I told them it was an exploit, they said that they thought all Jedi did that, I am starting to look at BH templates right now with an alt account....

Its not an exploit. In fact it was BH's exploiting the /duel in the first place that made them do that. Right now I would consider it abuse of the system intended to prevent exploitation. YES, it is not the right thing to do, but moaning about it AFTER ITS FIXED does nothing.

Doesn't that mean that every Jedi that gets hunted can report the BH? I certainly don't welcome losing hundreds of thousands of xp when I'm trying to hunt.
