Is this really the right way to fix things?

Feels more like a way to make subpair/broken BH skills legit... another rush job...

This is a nice start and shows(hopefully) that the devs are listening to us.


I think the real problem with publish 9 is the fact that jedi are everywhere and flaunting themselves in major cities, in front of crowds etc with little or no fear of death.


Sure, the extra skill points will help us become more viable in combat, but if Jedi have no fear of death we still can't "police" them.


Until Jedi fear death once again, it will make little difference how tough we are, but i for one am grateful for the extra skill points and i don't wish to seem ungrateful about your rapid response to BH's woes.

While you're at it, I'd highly recommend:

Also remove the totally useless Rifles line.

An increase in LLC speed and accurracy would be greatly appreciated.

A boost to Melee AND Ranged defence modifiers? Or perhaps dodge?

Good to hear, I think I can start playing this game again. Your'e right in that long promised fixes will not come soon enough at least I can play with some new templates.


Will this be on TC2 as well, I think I still had my MBH there.

It's definitely a start, it's something good that doesn't appear to come with the hidden backhand slap, and it's restored a sliver of my faith that the company's actually interested in this branch of it's customer base.


Some ideas/suggestions:


Increasing our LLC accuracy with a bonus at Master would be *EXTREMELY* helpful to us whenever it can be worked in.


Increasing the combat xp requirement for Novice BH would be a good idea to cut down on the dabbling as well.


Please increase Master level BH NPC mission difficulty and payout. Maybe add in some occasional NPC Jedi missions as well for those of us who have given up on the PC missions.


For those that don't want to give up Master Scout, no one said you had to - but removing it as a requirement takes away skills that none of us really use at Master. It's the next best thing to MBH being the bada$$ it once was - and it allows for actual *individualized* MBH templates.


We don't have to be cookiee cutter hunters anymore!!


I'll be the first to offer criticism when things are being done poorly, but I'll also give praise when something's done at least partially right, or is a step in the right direction.

Frankly, I'll take this. ANY other solution would mean waiting 3 months for the CB. If in fact things need to go back to the full master scout requirement during the CB, then so be it.


This is at least something we can work with. TKM/Master BH.... now that might be something to work with.

If they remove those lines the developers can easily say "Well, you have no skills in trapping, why should we?" This is all a very bad idea and it seems to be the easy way out. There will certainly be more Rifleman/BH hybrids roaming around...


Why can't the developers just make us useful and increase our damage output on BH specials. How does this fix fastblast? How does this increase our defenses (Sure a guy can now dabble into a defensive template but what if they chose something else that gives no defenses? We are right back at square one...) How does this benefit the BH profession by making us use specials from other professions?


Like I said this is a bad idea and in the future will just give devs excuses on what we should and should not have.

Here is a list of things that I suggest until the Combat Revamp:



  • Master Bounty Hunter to havethe following total defenses:



    • +45 Melee Defense

    • +45 Defense vs. Dizzy

    • +35 Defense vs. KD

    • +35 Defense vs. Posture Change

    • +30 Defense vs. Blind

This would probably be fair since players can stack other defenses, etc. (until the Combat Revamp).


Lastly...



  • Fix the Jedi logoff / logon bug that prevents Bounty Hunters from hunting them.


  • Have the BH Droids update to the correct planet.


  • Allow Bounty Hunters to carryseveral missions for Jedi players.
