Ok, I admit it. I'm lousy at math. Could someone figure out what speed on my VKs I would need to reach the 1 second speed cap if I have +95 Unarmed speed?
Thanks much

As long as you have VK's with a speed of less than 5.0 seconds then with +95 speed, you'll be hitting the speed cap on all hits including specials. If they were 5.1 you'd hit at speed cap on everything except Unarmed Combo 2.
Basically... don't worry about speed on VK's once you get that high in speed mod.

It's 8, not 5. +95 is a 95% increase. 8 * 2.5 * 0.05 = 1.
If there is a TKA special with a 3.0 time delay, then the VKs would have to be 6.66 speed.

I was looking around for the formula for "actual weapon speed" after all your modifiers are accounted for, and I found more than once source for each of TWO different formulas. So which one is right?
A. actual_speed = weapon_speed * shot_penalty * ((100 - speed_skill_mod) / 100)
B. actual_speed = weapon_speed * shot_penalty - roundup[speed_skill_mod / 10]
I'm guessing that one of them is maybe an older formula and an update has since changed the formula due to complaints, but can anyone tell me which it is?
I'm a total newb at fencer and I'm about to grind it, and I can't figure out what weapon to use. I am currently a novice fencer wielding a curved sword with 112-231 dmg, 1.8 spd (sliced AND powered-up). Assuming no speed cap, this weapon is WAY better than anything else I've seen. But if the formula is (A) above, I need to switch to a slower speed, higher damage weapon. If the formula is (B), I've probably got the bestweapon I'm gonna find.
What's the best fencer weapon and (mathematically) why?

Hey there,
I'm not a weaponsmith but have a Q you guys may be able to help me with.
Does the speed of a weapon effect the recharge rate of a skill ? or does the speed only effect the base attack skill ?
ie - Would a 2.0spd rifle shoot critical shot faster than a 2.5spd rifle (So could the 2.0spd shoot crit shot say3 times in 10sec where there 2.5spd would only shoot2 times in the 10sec for example)
or
Is the recharge rate of a skill not effected by the speed of a weapon; therefore, only the base attack would be effected by the speed of the weapon.
I only ask cause if the recharge timers aren't effected the speed of a weapon would only matter if you were constantly using the base attack skill.
Thanks for any replies.

Simply try using a fast pistol and a slow rifle and see what the speed does for your attacks.
