Thread: becoming a bounty hunter

If you then click on the Marksman and Scout link, you will notice the "To Bounty Hunter" link above both "Master Marksman" and "Master Scout". That indicates that they are required skills for "Novice Bounty Hunter", just like "To Rifleman" is listed above "Expert Rifle" skill.
In my opinion, that doesn't indicate anything. I only see a link to a another skill on the BH skill page...I can't even cognitively deduct a good reason for that link being there without having outside knowledge of its use.

I have a question. Im aiming for BH also but when the space expansion comes out we will only have a few skill points left to spend on plioting etc. Will more skill points be available to characters for the space expansion? I ask because in the films and books you never hear of a bounty hunter that doesnt have his own ship and isnt a bloody good pilot. With 33 skill points left this cant be acheived unless we got more skill points allocated for the space exp. Any ideas?
If you look at the Marksman profession, you have 3 different weapons and 1 general ranged skill. So to be come proficient in ranged combat one would only really need 1 or 2 of those skills. You would be skilled enough in combat with just the pistol skill for example, and a bit better if you also had the general ranged skill.
I believe it will be the same thing with the pilot profession. I think they will probably allow you to choose between skills like "Starfighter piloting", "Freighter piloting", "Starship piloting" and maybe a general piloting skill (or navigation for example). Another possibility is that they divide them into "small" ships, "medium" ships and "large" ships + 1 fourth skill.
These are all speculations, but the basic idea I want to get accross is that you might not need the ENTIRE profession line of skills to become a good pilot. If you want to become a Boba Fett-like BH you would have sufficient skill points to get the basic profession and the starfighter skills.

Well, it was pretty clear to me that those skills had atleast something to do with BH skill. Otherwise, every profession would have been listed. Also, if you look in the manual that came with the game, you will notice on page 75 (under Hybrid Professions sections in the Skills and Professions chapter) it states that:
Bounty Hunter: A mercenary who earns his living by hunting down "criminals."
Requirements:Master Marksman (Marksmen) & Master Scout (Scout)
Dude, you just need to come to terms with the fact thatIT TAKES THAT MUCH WORK to be a Bounty Hunter. Take a deep breath, and say to yourself "IT TAKES THAT MUCH WORK to be a Bounty Hunter." Now that you are calmed down and realise that IT TAKES THAT MUCH WORK to be a Bounty Hunter, ask yourself: "Do I really want to doTHAT MUCH WORKto be a bounty hunter?"

That's the Prima's Offical Strategy Guide, and not the manual that comes with the game.ÃÂ The manual that comes with the game clearly states that it's Master Marksmen and Master Scout (see my previous post).ÃÂ The Prima's OSG has a lot of information based on beta, contridicts itself several times, and isn't worth the price.ÃÂ It's my understand (from other threads) that once upon a time in beta, you were able to become a BH via the Brawler/Marksmen route.ÃÂ However, that was once upon a time in beta.ÃÂ Look at the manual that actually came with the game (in the game box, the small black ringed one that says
