Thread: Skill question

@TA: Cone specials aren't really suicide in low - mid level PvE when wearing armor. There are even players on my server who suggest to grind ranged professions with /pointblankarea1 since novice marksman...
There are also situations in which amelee tankscreatures with area hits. No ranged fighter will get any aggro then.
I agree, but caution must be given with advice for Cone Effect Specials ![]()
Shoot, I started a new toon on TC, got some 80% Kin Comp, buffs, decent ranged weaps and did just fine on Endor doing Marksman.....quite a joke really.....just a bit more time consuming than the Blue Frogs ![]()
The one negative to Cone Effect Specials without a tank, it is NOT AoE but a 30 degree angle.....so once the critters get near you, you will be hitting just one of them....

You're right, for me it'sa bitannoying to see meele's with dozens of mobs around themhitting allof them at once. ![]()
Anyway, i do well when i run away using a cone specialandusing some actionshots (posture change) or chargeshot2's (kd) in between... almost all the mobs get hit when i hunt them in this way... /burstrun is nice too to hit all the mobs. ![]()

If you really only plan to get one box, i'd recommand 0001. The knockdown is awesome... especially against humanoid targets.
But since xxxX takes combat exp, i guess you'll need tolevel a bit to get it...
There are also information about what skills to get when you have a limited number of skillpoints available, check it out.
DUDE....ChargeShot1 is at 0002.....

I am currently a novice carbineer and finaly got the xp required to get my first box, since my character is mostly a crafter i was planing on just taking 1 box into carbineer. What would be your recomendations for me since i dont do pvp at all unless i have to, and I PvE more regularly. i currently got a laser carbine with damage 108-395, 3.8 speed

wow never would of thought thiswould bring that many flames. ok i could posiibly get more skill points by droping some scout boxes, im 3/0/4/0 in scout i could drop the 3/x/x/x to get more skil points. If i do that i would have more points to work with, is there a certine tree or teir of boxes i should concentrate on?
Seems to me even with MDE you can get 3402 Carbineer with Novice Medic, which is good enough if you can get some decent Carbines under 2.0 Speed.
Actually after further review, 1000 Scout is all you need for TN, so go 4412 Carbineer ![]()
