A simple answer:

try this one, little boy.
20 pages worth of posts if you search for 'damage cap'.
wow. that's tough to accomplish.
oh, wait.... that would require you to actually do a little reading yourself rather than scream like a 4 year-old, demanding that people rush to meet your needs since you're incapable of doing anything yourself.
nice.
Hmm exclamation point... all caps... hmmmm who is yelling... Seems to me that the only thing you are able to do is scream...
Grow up. I never asked anyone to 'rush' yet you rush right into the thread yelling and screaming... I never demanded anything either... in fact you did...
Lastly I explained why I asked the question... If you are to busy screaming and demanding to answer then as I said b4 move along little trolly....

If I have a Lightning rifle that is damage capped... will slicing it for increased damage do anything?
In other words can you slice a weapon above its cap?
Hi Ulrek.
No, unfortunately you cannot slice a weapon above its damage cap (or speed, either, as far as I know). We have this listed as one of our issues.

I believe the HLR is an exception to this, not 100% certain. Slice cap might be rifle cap of 1183. If you slice it and can't increase the damage, you probably won't lose anything because it should tell you it exceeds the maximum output.
Ok, so another noob question if I may *dons fire suit to protect from the angry poster above...give the man a prozac for goodness sake...we CAN still make drugs right?
I haven't been able to dive into the slicing element of the profession yet, If i try to slice something that will exceed the cap, will I get a warning? Or will it do like the weaponsmiths and slice then bump down to the cap. Thanks to anyone who is kind enough to respond but all the info is kind of confusing sometimes ![]()

Interesting as I just had a capped HLR (Damage 1190) made... so this would be good to know... If I cant I will just slice it for speed...
