I just picked up a proton rifle this morning and I cant use it. I can equip it since I'm certed for it and all but I cant get it to fire. It just give me the error click like when youre out of range. Has anyone else had a problem like this? I submitted a ticket but well I have very little faith in support lately.

So I turn to you oh knowledgable commandos. Any clue? It doesnt say that its biolinked, so I'm stumped other than it being bugged.

I had this exact same problem when I was testing on Test Center and then again on Live. I submitted a ticket, but I haven't gotten any response yet.

At least, thats what we expect! No confirmations on many of our issues save for elemental... =/

Are there currently any plans to fix the Proton Rifle? For those who dont know, It is a very nice rifle that iscertified to Master Commando, the only catch is, you can equip it but it doesnt fire. When you try to fire it all you get is a nice clicking sound, much like you get with an invalid target or if you cant see your target.

Did you submit the ticket from a character that was a commando or did you have a jedi submit the ticket for you? May wanna try the second option for better results

it's a bug that the devs know of... hopefully a fix will trickle to live eventually. (check many other threads here in the commando forums)

Yep same bug, can't get it to fire. Guess I'll switch to melee and beat mobs with the other end of it.

i was a MC but dropped it after the i couldnt get a proton rifle and heard that it was bugged, this was at the start of RoTW
