What about all other professions like Chef, DE, BE, Taylor, WS, AS, Dancer, Doc, SW,and every other profession that supports the game economy? Jedi can't do it alone.

tell that to SOE, go ask a dancer if she thinks SOE actually cares for her profession, or a chef, or DE

I personally think dancers and musicians have been hit the hardest, even more than the BH's

NO NORMAL PROFESSIONS = NO ECONOMY...right?

NO ECONOMY = ?

SOE probably thinks that the Jedi Alts can keep the economy going.

There are ALOT of players with Jedi and their alts as a crafter, crafters will always be in the game though such things as shipwright, master doctor and droid-engineer are getting harder to find.

I'm personally having a blast with the new BH system, fought 3 full temp Jedi, lost 2 and killed one, all of them long fights.

I don't. All of you who whine need to try other MMORPGs, SWG is a good game and it offers loads of content. If jedi/bh system is not perfect this doesn't mean entire game broken.

If you are one of the people who send jedi hate tells, send reports to CSR and scream 'xploiter' when paddy runs for the LOS .... yes game is very broken for you and its best for you to leave.

Pre-cu when MBH sucked there were few of us, but we loved proffession and it didn't really matter to us that dancer has same amount of defense as we do. We learned to play with what we had, and I took pride in wearing my Master Bounty Hunter title. I had people do /salute and /wave to me since it was very rare to seea MBH person. If all of people who get pissed for no reason leave, well MBH will once again become rare and respected.

This game is very easy to level and understand comparing to other MMOs out there. I took a break from SWG since I got tired of all the BS about Jedi/BH issue. All this whining, complaining and downgrading of ONLY game I play got me, and I asked myself "Maybe I am being too tolerant of SWG and it doesn't stack to other games ?". So I decided to try other MMOs out there. Most of other MMOs have 1 or 2 good things about them, but besides that they are dull. AO, Eve, FoM, WoW have some goods about them but they are NOT perfect, the more games I tried it became more and more apparent how much SWG is being unfairly downgraded by its player base. This game offers LOADS of things for players to do, you are not limited by your IP (like in AO) you can make your character what ever you want, you can learn what ever skills you want.

No other game offers this much of variety and flexibility as SWG, but this comes at the price of Bugs and glitches. Right now I feel disgusted by players that send SOE to hell and accuse developers of being lazy and game of being bad because they can't get their quest reward or because jedi they were hunting ran in the LOS zone.

With amount of proffessions SWG has to offer you have unlimited choice of activities you can do. If you say "this game has nothing to offer" you are either extremely lazy or extremely arrogant. Using your head helps when you play SWG, as a bounty hunter you can always go roleplay or Hunt outlaws. There are plenty of high end Mobs and dungeons to hunt in and explore, most of the players simply disregard them. You can always go and hunt with your buddies ( FYI hunting and shooting is the ONLY part of many other games). With plenty of POIs you can always go exploring and fight at POIs. Finally if you get bored from ground game you have JTL one click away, JTL offers non-stop action even after you master pilot. There are plenty of challenges out there, DS, duty missions and Kessel. JTL is great source for faction points and its very intense at times. If you get bored of JTL try getting a black sun ace helmet, run some duty missions 1 VS 9 dogfights are extremely fun. Last but not least you can always PvP and have fun with GCW. Taking out bases is challenging now and requires lots of team work, yes you will need a Jedi for it. PvP is not dead, you don't need to be Overt in Theed to have fun with PvP. Get few buddies together and start a PvP tournament for non-jedi characters.

And you still want to quit ?

I agree there is lots of other things to do except hunt jedi. I hunt them every once in a while but it isn't something what consumes my total game time. I have my city and guild that I work in, the npc missions, my harvestors that provide a nice steady flow of income, plus the quests. I think what is p1ssing the majority of the fan base off is the complete lack of attention to the other professions. The main reason so many people turn to the jedi path is because it is the one that gets the most content. The last what, 7 to 8 patches have been devoted to jedi skils and content while professions like smuggler(a VERY star warsy profession for this time period) is neglected. I don't think people who chose the smuggler path thought they would end up slicing weaponsatthe master level. A commando has ZERO specials associated with it and weapons that hardly ever work. If these type of things were fixed you would see less jedi and more of a galaxy filled with 30 professions instead of a galaxy dominated by one profession. And as far as taking down bases, again, commandos should be the elite forces needed to take down a base not jedi.

I've been around a long time, like some, and started as a BH in the "old days" before mounts and player cities. Played that through the CM wars and insane T-21 days and the CHs pulling 3 rancs at a time. I picked up a crafter from a friend who left the game, and got Jedi for myself in the waning pre-9 days, mostly out of boredom, and I don't really play him much.

Now, the crafting character was nerfed to near-uselessness (AS/Architect/merchant). Jedi has never really been particularly exciting for me, mostly because of many of the other people who play them (many fewer 12 year olds in Pre-9). PvE combat is boring now, as you can solo GDKs all day and all but an ancient Krayt with the right template. And now with the Pub-20 changes to BH, the occasional Jedi bounty I would take is now more or less not worth the time. And Space is just mind-numbingly repetitive.

What is left? PvP is still occasionally fun, until you run into someone with a freakishly converted/exploited weapon, but not worth $15 a month. Kash is new, but not something that has too much longevity.

I want the SWG of the old days back, back when people looked forward to playing and not just to see if a few remaining friends are on. I mean really, SWG has turned into the first 1st person shooter Chatroom in history.

My remaining time is likewise short, not much left to do or reason to play. Out of a guild of 95 actual human players at this time last year, I am one of aboutsix remaining, living in a ghost town player city. Maybe I am just a little slow taking the hint.

to be honest, its just hard to take this game seriously, its not starwars when there are hundreds of jedi running around.

god i hope Lord of the Rings Online doesnt have a problem similar to this, like thousands of player wizards running around the servers.

Jedi are the most starwarsy thing about starwars... You just cannot get past your bigotry.
