  • The Advanced version of Bacta Shot, Bacta Toss, Bacta Spray, and Bacta Jab will now heal more damage than the Improved or standard version of the same ability by a medic with the same Healing Efficiency
  • Players will always use the best version of the bacta heal available to that player

Assume this means your MBH/MR/Pistoleer xxx3/Medicxx2x toons are about to get the nerf stick.

I'm in the same boat though lol. Guess it's time to drop pistoleer all together and invest in Doc or CM.

Now, I might be wrong here, but it says that the Advanced versions will be healing more. But I dont see where it says that the others will be healing less. So unless I am missing something, the lower heals will stay the same. But the Advanced heals will get better. Thats a good thing, right?

Actually, you have it backwards. There was a clarification posted by one of the Devs that states that they are keeping the Advanced versionw here they are, and downgrading the standard version a little. Doh!

Ok, then that could be a very bad thing depending on how much of a difference they make between the level of heals.

The very sad part about that is that this change was probably brought on by the BH/Jedi wars. The Jedi feel that BH's with CM or Docs can heal too much. Much the same way the BH's thought Jedi could heal massive amounts before the Jedi heal nerf.

But the problem is if the Devs nerf the CM and Doc heals in an attempt to "Balance" the BH/Jedi war, they are hurting more than BH's. Pretty much any other non BH temp that has Doc, CM, or even medic is getting hit with this, and alot of them have nothing to do with the BH/Jedi issues.

I really hope this isnt another attempt to protect the Jedi even more. Because this time, they will be hurting pretty much anyone, and everyone with a healing profession to help the Jedi. That would be just wrong in my opinion. Nerf BH, Nerf the Jedi....but leave everyone else out of it.

Its pretty obvious that this wasn't a nerf aimed at the BH/J warriors, rather than a general bug fix to how basic heals were getting the same efficiency as advanced heals. This is probably intended to be anotherpub21 boost to the "the usefulness of Doctors in groups", like the buff duration changes.

As a CM4xxx (well, 3.9xxx), I'm dissapointed that my "best" heal (BASIC bactashot) is getting a nerf, but I'll wait to see how hard the hit is before I cry too much. If it's too much, we should start yelling for some buffage to BactaSpray's efficiency, or a removal of BactaTosses movement pause.

Or at least not having to target ourselves to heal. I can live with the movement pause, if i then didnt have to go look for my target again.

I haven't tried it (so it might already be there), but something like/bactaToss self would be great.

Does "indirect targetting" work in PvP? I admit I've never tried it... might lead to all sorts of unfortunate and interesting events.

Just my two cents on this. As I have a BH and a seperate MCM toon. But I've noticed from the CM boards. that when one guy did a comparison for doc/CM buffs (which got posted to both doc and CM boards) using no enhancers, using BE clothes, high end enhancers, droids, combos of the above. And what the heals were hitting for. A PC with basic bacta toss could heal for just as much if not MORE than a MCM or MDoc. Which if you think about it. Is horribly wrong. Also Dunno bout doc. But MCM the improved and and advanced heals.... didnt do anything at all. There was litterally no difference at all when you went from one to the other. It all really seems to (currently) depend on your healing skill mods. Their simply fixing this issue. I dont honestly think it has a THING to do with the BH/Jedi war this time. Simply that the MCMs have been crying on the boards for a while now and stating it as a major issue for their profession that the advanced healing skills. Make NO difference.

And now it will. Seems to me more an asked for fix to their profession than something spurred on by anything else (Though it may have also contributed to it)
