Thread: New NPC Elite Marks Impossible!! Hardly....

For me boss marks go down easily.Single elites take just as much time as regular npcs. And the average Double Elite take about 5 mins depending if they agro anything or not, but they for the most part aren't a problem.

The only time I ever have trouble with boss marks, is when its one of these "Super" Boss Marks that has well over 36k health and regens HAM faster than I do.

But even they die eventually. Seeing as I don't like using buffs unless it is absolutely necessary I tend to depend on tactics more than just spending money on over priced foods. With or without buffs these "Super" Boss Marks can be killed you just have to know what skills to use and when to use them.

I would just like to reiterate what people have been saying.
I just took on my FIRST Gold Elite, CL 81. Took me a while to kill, but I did it. I am BH-0444/MPistoleer/CM-4000. I am still level 76, so he got a pretty decent damage boost on me. This means that the mark was at the very TOP END of RED CON. I wore armor(no gloves/boots), used a probot droid, and using a deathrain pistol.
It wasn't too difficult, just took a while. I am a noob BH, I started grinding for it two days ago. I am stil learning, but I still took this guy out.
So my advice is, that if your a CL 80 BH and CANT take an NPC mark down, even if you have 'good' gear, give up BH, cause you'll never kill a jedi.

Nice attitude. I am CL 80, not a respec. started grinding it when I started playing it. Been about 3 months. Have killed 2 Jedi, and I just added that some of the gold chevron bosses are considerably harder than others. But to suggest for this someone give up BH cuz they'll never kill a jedi is an asinine statement. If this is all your opinion has to offer, it should be kept to yourself.

Perhaps I should say that my post was for the respec BH's or those that ground it out in a day JUST for the supposedly uber loot, who whine and whine about stuff being too hard and how they want it nerfed. That was who that was directed at. Not those that actually know what they're doing.

Well sorry I snapped. I do need practice, especially pvp, but just didnt like theattitude give up cuz you'll never do it. I've managed twice. Lost about 1000 times to Jedi, but feel I can eventually turn the record around.

I have yet to have any problem with bosses. I only use one drink (forget the name) for action regen, no special tactics, just walk up and start shooting. I use a decent scatter or featherweight. Only regular marauder battle armour.

As for tactics, I walk up in pistol range, knockdown, and start hammering away. If my action runs low, I take off my auto attack, paralyze, then lay states on the mark until he starts attacking again, giving my action time to regen. I seldom even have to heal myself.

Granted, I have apparently not ran across one of these "Super Bosses" yet, apparently, but I have not seen anything extremely hard yet.

I take out the 36K HAM marks pretty easy, I am a MBH,MCH, CM 4,0,0,0. I send in my BE pets and sit down beside them and keep healing them for about 1K per heal. Once they get him down below 10K I start on him heavy. The only bad thing is if you get one of the bosses you would expect the loot to be good or something, I get crap for loot from them.

i think their difficulty is about right. they can be a tough fight, longer than a usual NPC... but not nearly impossible. and being 55 range you can knock them around alittle before they even move. templates without healing can kite at 65m, and temps with healing can just go shot for shot with a KD here and there to get a break (which is what i do once they are unrooted and getup after my KD after the root)

i got an annoying one last week that had an obsession with knockdown and warning shot, lol

I'm sorry, I normally don't post things like this...however the recent influx of hunters claiming that the new elite level marks are "impossible" is just ridiculous.

I'm a CL80 MBH/MRifles/xxx3 Pistoleer/xx2x Medic and have fought more than my share of elite marks (20k HAM - 33k HAM). I have had no problem dropping these marks in a matter of one to two minutes without having to heal myself until after the fight.

I'm not sure if all of the people saying these marks are "impossible" are just not very good, don't have very good armor/weapons, or are low CL, but please....just stop. They aren't impossible...Maybe they are for you if you are a low CL, but hey, instead of complaining why not just go level up and get the skill you need?

Anyways, I feel better now. I'm not trying to flame anyone, but the statements that these marks are "impossible" is just ignorant. In fact, I wouldn't mind if they were made more difficult if loot tables were adjusted. =)

ok dudes, here is my opinion after getting to know these marks better

If you read the thread you know that I am a pre cu BH that just got back into the game.

I have been getting cl82 marks (they show up gold with a chevron... are these then the boss marks) and they regenerate very fast with over 36k health.

I am MBH, MPistols, MMarksman and now novice medic (I need to heal apparently!!!)

Anyways I got a recon armor, a psg, took up my old FWG5 pistol and been hammering at these boss marks without much problem. Occasionally I need a heal to put me back on track. I use a combo of quickdraw and advanced crit shot plus the occasional intimidate, blind, over hand shot.

I have no problems at all against them PROVIDED they arent packing a kinetic weapon!!! I guess I now need two armors, one for a kinetic boss and one for a energy boss.

So.. I guess the bounties are pretty easy but not easy peasy for sure

There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world. There are those who, when presented with a glass that is exactly half full, say: this glass is half full. And then there are those who say: this glass is half empty. The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!
