Never ceases to amaze how the simplest, most logicalfixes become the subject of endless garbage debate.

Let's make this reeeal simple:

Bounty hunters have skills to hunt people called "marks".

Little bounty hunters get little loot from marks.

Big bounty hunters have a chance for big loot from marks.

The end.

Now if you don't mind I have a dozen jars of foraged bugs to feast on in Kaadara, while I admire my stack of 90 delicate trigger assemblies.

Well, I agree with Alephen concerning his argument that NBH should still be able to pull good loot.

The only problem I have with the system as it was set up and still seems to be for me is that as MBH I have looted 1 stack of power cells, 4 casings, and maybe 6 ca/2 aa. Most of my missions have 1 slicing part or bugs even elites and bosses. If they reversed the original BH loot system giving the lower drop rates to NBH and higher drop rates to MBH.

Now for some clarification I only run a few missions a day due to helping in hunting groups, quests, etc. so it is partly my fault, but I have run +150 npc missions. It definitely got discouraging reading about NBH looting good loot left and right compared to MBH, but for a positive it is nice tosee more challenge to the npc missions.

There were people that were not really BH, but 2 other combat classesand just novice BH farming the loot. The loot is intended to be for Bounty Hunters, and this just keeps people honest. I know of one person that was using the following template TKM / Swords 4444 / NoviceBH. He was bragging how fast he could kill the marks and that he had already made close to 150 million credits from sales. He had 40 more attachments up for sale all ranging from 1-20 million. How is this fair to the MBH that have to really work for the loot, only to kill the mark and find a jar of foraged bugs or a melon. It costs us the droids to find and track the mark, the maintenance on our vehicles, wear and tear on our armor and weapons, and the amount of time to get to our mark for a 30k payout. That is only if our marks aren't bugged, otherwise we just lost money. The good loot should be a reward or incentive for theplayers that are willing to put in the effort to make MBH.

Well, I left Dec. 3rd and like I promised I came back to give you another chance.
So Sony, impress me with the new system - not good enough, back to WoW 3/06 !
I am back again 3 months later giving you 1 last chance.
Looks like I will be staying, keep up your hard work.

Picture it this way... I'll use baseball as an example. You have player A and player B. Player A has more experience than player B, because player A has been in the game longer. Player B is a rookie, just being brought to the majors from AAA. Why should player B get more money than player A? Player A has proved himself as a good player, and hence sees the lineup (loot)and gets paid more (mission reward) then player B, who is inexperienced, and probably sees more bench time then most of the other team.

There is that little skill mod called "Bounty MIssion Difficulty" that determines what types of missions we get. There are 3 total: Novice Bounty Hunter, Investigation 2, and Master Bounty Hunter. Kills at NBH are WAAAYY easier than MBH.Not to mention that your marks are on the planet. Our marks at MBH are almost always off planet, and 1/5 times bugged being stuck in a tree or a rock. Not to mention, they could be inside the city, and as soon as they spawn, attack someone, which then gives them the right to kill them in defense. You think those people are just gonna hand over the loot if it's good? If so, then you're damn lucky. Quit your whining about your loot being nerfed, get out there and level to MBH and see how much harder we have it as opposed to NBH. Put forth the work if you want the reward.

Alephen, no offense... but take your "ZOMG THEY NERFED US NBH'S LOOT!!" and just go jedi like we all know you're planning. At least your nerf crying will be expected then.

ok, baseball right: um if i am MCM/MR/NBH and you are say MBH/MR/NCM then it is a much better parallel to compare a veteran shortstop to a veteran 2nd baseman.

um yeah, well4 things regarding the last paragraph: 1) i have a full templated, pre pub 9 jedi 2) it is you hypocritical MBH that have been crying nerf, not the NBHs (why would we cry nerf when we got 8m+ per hour) 3) i have not cried for a nerf anywhere, have argued only for balanced loot for any class, not just uber loot for MBH as it is currently, 4) i dont know if you are an idiot or a moron so i will will just remind you to wear your helmet.

ugh... you all need to pull your heads out of you know where... MBH gets the best loot because we've spent the time to grind it (well some of us...) just like someone before said... Novice BH's hunt the small fish while the MBH get the big ones. How bout you @$$ holes stop wasting your time trying to nerf us and try to fix the other loot tables... ever think of that? oh no... actually do something.... CONSTRUCTIVE?!?!?! like... sugged CONTENT be added? omg... my head... i think its gonna explode... i cant handle someone actually suggesting i dont scream NERF everytime i dont like something....

MBH today is everything they hated in jedi. that is the point of every post i made here.

Just ran about 30 BH missions to get thru the investigation tree and near all the loot was Simple toolkits.. I was to understand the reason for the new good loot was to make NPC missions less of a bore but then soon as someone gets.. or doesnt get this new loot people cry and get it nerfed to near what it was before it was fixed.. anyways thanks.

people may have whined about it, but the reason it was FIXED was due to people farming novice bh missions. They had to do something to cull the amount of loot coming into the game... MOST of it coming from people farming the novice BH missions.

If I'm a novice BH and CL80, I can stand in Cnet and pick/cancel missions till a mark spawns close enough to bike to in 1 minute... some cases you don't even have to walk more than 30m to kill your mark. so worst case scenario the "farmer" is getting a kill every 5 mins or less, no droids or seekers needed...while someone who is actually grinding the profession or has mastered is tracking these NPC bounties legitimately will 98% of the time have to travelto another planet to get to their mark, and then have to shuttle atleast once, and possibly bike up to 7km away. Then add in the time it takes to grab the mission, get a bio sig, drive out of town and launch a probe, upload, wait for it to report.... If you're fast, and lucky, you'll average about 10-20 mins per mission atthe very least.... which is probably alot more in line with the time invested (on the mission, not the profession) that the development team was looking at for a chance to get good loot.

They could either nerf ALL the BH loot and basically make the new content that alot of people are enjoying, or nerf the novice missions. And if it weren't for people cheeseballing the novice missions for loot, this nerf probably would have never hit.

Personally, I think a better fix would have been/would be: give skills to use droids and seekers at novice, and a slight skill mod increase so they are atleast slightly functional (IE make it so it isn't impossible to grind), and then set even the novice missions to work with the same mechanic as a master mission... IE launch a probot, target can be anywhere in the game, and the waypoint moves.

To sum up, People cheeseballing novice BH missions for fast cash/loot got this nerf, Not any amount of crying from Eleventy Billion MBH's
