The thing is that the Jedi character is not meant to be played all the time and be out showing off. It runis the roleplaying element of the game. This is why you are given an extra character. This comprimise is better than perma death because you dont loose all your work indefinately but it would limit how much you play your Jedi character as you dont want to be getting new pearls all the time.

my "only" weapon as a TKM is the Katarn Knuckles at 3 mil a shot. I can quest one set the rest I ahve to buy. I wear through a set in a few days since Pub 23 - without any deaths.

But in the orignal posts Ive brough back their beloved flawless pearls, so they have their loot to make their weapons again. My Weapons are 100% quested only far more time consuming than krayt harvesting or whatver the replacement would be for these uber sabre drops.
Because at the moment it is in place, im suggesting changes to the CURRENT system, not changes to unkown game mechanics of the future.
YES of course I have, when I find a ADK for 12 mil I will do so, Ican nowafford to pay 20, but will hold out for a bargain, till then I replace the knuckles. pre publish 23 this wasnt an issue as the knuckles lasted far longer. and the cost of replacing knuckles was cheaper than ADKing them.

This would mean that you wouldnt use your jedi that often, you could bring him out for big pvp events ect. But you still have another character to do the bulk of your playing on now, so you wouldnt be bored.
The problem that exists is that the game is out of balance with lots of Jedi running around.
The suggestion is that Jedi players being limited to how much they use their Jedi.
But the Jedi want to be able to use their Jedi toons for everything anyway.
So I would ask what is the point of getting the extra player if you arnt going to use it for its origional purpose.

I think that this would be the ideal situation but is unlikely to happen

If you want to avoid BH, yes for the rest of the game you have your ALT, or you can go baiting BH 
with your Flawless laden LS. Ground in complete safety on your jedi world, fair trade?
You have the Alt already so you are losing no ability to do anything in game, and you ARE GAINING a Jedi paradise. For the cost of losing the odd LS? EVERY quest in the game is doable without your jedi you can have all the fun of the rest of us, and have all the fun of your hard earned jedi paradise as well. I think you would find its a small price to pay.

Fourth SABRE LOOT, anyone killing a jedi in PVP, BH or otherwise gets the to loot the jedis sabre - it will of course be "broken" and pearls are unretrievable, so no one can profit, but you get a nice trophy for the effort. MY theory goes that less jedi will be out getting visibility if their glow sticks gonna get conviscated for their actions.
Fifth if the above alone doesnt end duelling at starports, and reduce jedi visibility, bring in starport sabre TEF any Jedi iwith a ignited LS within 300m of a starport is instantly attackable by any bh in the neighbourhood.
I for one would love a collection of Jedi light sabres for display.
I think there would be a lot less full template uber sabres getting visibility.
If the Jedi kills the BH, do they get his weapon or armor as a trophy? It will be broke of course, i always wanted some BH armor as a showpiece along with a awesome expensive weapon.

Im sure there would, but dont forget your ALT you can become a storm trooper and join in the GCW against equal opponents, you can do all the quests with groups of peers. and on top of that you get your Jedi world, Thats an awful lot of content\ fun for your money. The rest of the game and the stuff which so many find fun without being a Jedi is still open to you. You then have the choice, which you want to do, a genuine reward for the effort of grinding jedi.
