Thread: Went to the Jedi 'exploit' spot yesterday (small story)
My personal theory, right or wrong, is that the majority of posts by people outraged byt the Kashyyyk issue are in truth afraid. They have not finished the village grind yet and they see all these other people using an advantage to gain Jedi xp very quickly that they may not have when they reach that point. They feel as though they are falling behind and are questioning whether the long village grind will be worth it in the end. The wide majority of bounty hunters are grinding the village as well.
Personally I think if you have issues with this or any other MMORPG you need to do one of two things. Quit or live with it. The development of this game will go on with or without you. The only person who I might believe truely cares about the legacy of Star Wars is Lucas. The development team knows what is going on there. To this point they have chosen to do nothing.
Does this mean that it is and exploit or sanctioned. Personally I don't care. For now I will live with it.

How long does it take to get to Jedi initiate again?
From day of creation to MBH...outside estimate 2 weeks. It's been done faster, but that's not a bad number.
Drom day of creation to completed Jedi, how long is it?

I was doing the Ryatt Trail quests with some pals, getting my proton carb, etc...
I had never been there before so it was interesting to check it all out, it was a good time. We came upon the exploit spot we were amazed at what we saw. There must have been 20 jedi in a tight cluster fighting 2 webweavers. As soon as the jedi spotted us about half of them bolted for the bridge like cowards. We continued on to kill wild wookies.
At the bridge I went to spatial chat and said "so this is where the Jedi cheat". This offended of few of them. They immediatly corrected me and stated this is where they "hunt". I corrected him, i pointed out that they hide from BH here and use exploits to run like sissies.
So now fora jedi to hunt they must travel across the galaxy to a backwater planet to a remote location instead of their local mission terminal.
A call to all BH. Send a lookout to the exploit site, get the missions, go there and kill.NeXuS waits bu the trail entrance (a solid tactic for patient BH). They must learn that there is no safe place.

This talk of courage in a video game is lunacy. I am frustrated absolutely when Jedi run to safe haven when attacked. I'm afraid calling them names is not going to change their behavior. Self preservation is very strong in those with something to lose. All Jedi and bounty hunter drama aside. Calling someone a coward for actions in an online video game is absurd. And rationalizing that "actions are actions are actions" is empty and without merit. Anyone who belives these things to be true should imediately stop playing this and all other games and get back into real life.

I think you might be surprised how much of youre 'doings' in game are a direct reflection of youreself. There have been many studies on this. Nickyee.com is one of them, and is arranged nicely IMO. I have been taking surveys from him since '00. Go look around the research are and his findings about personality traits tied to the type of player they are. It is very interesting.

Eh. Jedi isn't my thing. They're neat but I liked the movies forthe underdogs.I'm not grindingJedi and I never will. Jedi isa profession that I admire. But I hate to see AFK grinding (I've seen it too). I hated it when my fellow dancers did the same thing. And I am especially sad to hear about the use of the 'cannot see target zones.' That really is using an exploit. I remember feeling a lot of respect for someone who made jedi and there arejedi thatI still respect but I don't feel that same awe that was there before... that belief that they were among the most skilled and people who really played the game. Its the difference between creating an original work of art or doing a paint-by-number. I'm not going to say that the people who doAFK grindingare a lower class of human being. People will have their reasons and I understand that. It just makes it less fun for the people who are there playing in the game and would like to play with you.
And don't say that people that aren't jedi are jeleous. I've played this game long enough to have been any profession I wanted. There are other reasons why someone might feel dismayed by whats going on.

1 ebay. Seems to be the popular choice.
Dicemanorama wrote:Facts are facts. Running to the bridge anytime you think something is going to kick your butt (either a feral wookiee or a BH)is an exploit. Lots of people, including lots of jedi, have always taken advantage of exploits. Cheaters are everywhere in life.
QFE
AFKers are not exploiters.
But the herd of Jedi that ran to the LOS exploit in the bridge ARE INDEED exploiters.
Ok, if I am caught unawares by a BH and I throw up my cloak and run away - BH calls all sorts of names and this and that.
I used a game skill, not an exploit, not a cheat.
I don't want to PvP. Never have , never will. Cloak is the only skill that says to the BH, sorry I refuse to be your content. Additionally, putting up a safehouse and running into it when people see dots on radar is smart. In any situation, make yourself safe 1st, then evaluate , then execute the next step.

If Jedi had something to gain, they'd fight back.
Very soon Jedi WILL have a reason to fight back (FRS I believe)....only ONE problem. I WON'T give them the satisfication....and it won't be through an "evasive" exploit....I simply won't take the mission. Even NOW, the 1.5 stronger is NOT 1.5, it's more like a 3....I have enough fully templates Jedi friends to duel and experiment as much as I could possibly want, so I feel strongly that I know what I'm talking about.
Is it cowardice to not enter into a fight you cannot win? Enjoy the new ranking system, that is if you can find enough MBHs willing to take your mission in order to gain any rank.
Hey Garva, can I have my sig option back now? So I can stop the copy and paste of EVERY post.
