gorax bone shards, i looted 6, gave four away to my gorax swat team, i have two left. They are for ranged weapons I suppose. Any idea what good they are and what value? Not trying to sell them, just want an idea of what I have.

They're used in projectile feed mechanisms. The weapons that use those are the Striker pistol, Launcher pistol, Tangle pistol, FWG5 pistol, Tusken rifle, and Berserker rifle.

They can be used in a few ranged weapons:
Pistols (FWG5-heat, Striker-Kenetic)
Rifles (Tuskan-Energy((Should be Kenetic)), Spraystick-Energy((Should be Restraint)) and the Bowcaster-Energy.
Of these the FWG or the Striker are you best bets. Both pistols do non-energy types of daamge giving you good choices in damage types for the odd NS or what ever. 
Of the Rifles the Spraystik might be nice for some close in action or a really Nice Bowcaster for your neighborhood wookie. 
Note: I am a WS on Tarq and have 2 bone shards that my alt helped to take down. I've auctioned one off to guildmates to reaise operating capitol for our city and the other is eaither going into a BC for me (I am a wook) or a FWG/Striker for pistoleers of the guild to use during hunts.

yup, sorry. Hunting the Gorax was fun, and as we all know, anything that causes us to have fun MUST be removed from the game.

But aren't they permanent residents on Endor? But they only spawn once a day I believe.
I had a blast doing the Gorax hunt on the anniversary. It's nice that they sent them to multiple planets, but I am pretty sure they are constant on Endor, just super RARE!

Yeah you can ususally find the gorax on endor, at the desert on the top of the map. Just ride around there for a bit and you should find one

Gorax are still on Endr - Random Rare spwns like Graul Marauders or whatever. You don't here of people killing them as often though cause they're not required too, and people are much more interested in camping the cave for something rare they can sell for money.

no, that was a special anniversary spawn a few months ago. only lasted for a week or two.
