With the notable exception of a rare encounter a couple weeks ago where I got hit with 3 bounty hunters within an hour while I was trying to do something else - in which time I took them out as quickly as I could (and in one case, it wasn't all that quickly), I make it a habbit to waste absolutely as much of a bounty hunter's time as possible.
The reason I do this is quoted above. If BH's see it as their god-given right to follow me around endlessly, then its my right to waste their time - even if I know I can take a hunter out quickly and efficiently. I will run, I'll use terrain, I'll run into dungeons, hop planets, fly into space just to annoy my persuer. Why? Because he wanted to play games.
I can play games too.
The game allows bounty hunters to attack jedi - that does NOT mean that all jedi are going to appreciate having their time wasted by endless waves of BH's. Some hunters have come to accept this as a simple truth - some jedi are more appreciative of the hunt than others. Those hunters who are too stupid to figure that out should grow some backbone, suck it up, and accept that not everybody likes them or wants them around. Maybe then they'll figure out that there are some jedi who will stick around and fight - some in fact are itching to do so.
Why is it that when a jedi turns to fight, so many of you so-called hunters run away?

Well, I'm just a noob in the game but it seems I can learn you something : there is an easy solution to don't have the time wasted by endless waves of BH's : it's called....not have a Jedi.

I am afraid I will have to side on the BH on this one. Jedi are aware that they will be hunted. If they run - they do so as per their choice. Now as far as his GF is concerned my guess is cause "she" contacted you after he logged that it was just his alt.

Think about it in real life. If some guy comes up to you and started shooting, you'd probably run too. If you're not fast enough to catch them, that's your problem, not theirs.

No, it smore like if your job in real life was to be a boxer and when its fight time you high tail it out of the ring.
There is no Non-PvP Jedi option. The Jedi had every right to run, but no right to complain and have his girlfriend send tells to the BH to make him stop. I guess the BH could report them for harasment, they are stoping him from enjoying the game.

6. You may not intentionally circumvent the player-versus-player combat features and cause another player to die, such as by "training" them.
Training is defined as pulling/leading a hostile NPC or creature along behind you and attempting to get it to attack another player who does not desire that engagement.

Its starts out when I last a good time against a Jedi called DoomViper. I loose in the end, so I buy some foods and armor and go hunting Jedi again. this time I get a kill, and I am excited to get more. SO Today I get another mission- Dathomir is where the target is. I land, send out a tracker, and follow my mark to the NS stronghold.
And whatdoya know, its good ol DoomViper, but this time I come with a sliced and pupped proton carbine, full sliced RIS armor, and buffed up with four doc buffs and a good number of foods. I get into the stronghold, and I am shooting him. He isnt moving for a while, but then he does and he looses me in the maze. the hunt begins.
Across Dathomir we go- at first it is staying pretty even, till I risk a shot at his speder. however, in order to get off my speeder and shoot his, I need to store it or I will loose time targetuing him. So I take my chance- and the shot misses. I pull my speeder again, and off we go.
At one point my droid loses him, but then I pick him up on my radar again. We ride around some mroe, meanwhile exchanging tells which boil down to this
Doomviper:I dont want to waste my time fighting you
Me: Afraid you will loose?
Doomviper:I dont want to waste my time
Me: We have been riding around 20 minutes already
Doomviper: I only give Bhs one shot you had yours
Me: I can't choose your mission, its not liek I went looking for you.
Doomviper: You could have aborted mission
Me: I am not gonna ride out all the way tot he NS stronghold and not engage my mark.
Finally the guy rides into the Sp and launches before i can get a shot in. Then he logs out.
By now his gf is sending me tells pretty similar to Doomviper's. Then we get to a new point-
Doomviper girlfriend: He doesnt want to PVP
Me: The life of a Jedi is tough
Doomviper girlfriend: There is nothing else to do in this game but be Jedi
Me: I played a Ranger for eight months andhad plenty of fun
Doomviper girlfriend: But we like being a Jedi
Me: Than you choose to PVP
Doomviper girlfriend: But we dont want to
Me: Dotn show off your glowstick if you dotn want to be hunted
Doomviper girlfriend: I wish we could get missions on you and gank you
Me: I didn't gank him deary, I came alone.
At this point she stops responding, and figuring I have been ignored I log out. I can take some consolation in the fact that this Jedi wont be farming any uber loot any time soon, and i still have his mission, and he wasted a lot more time and didnt have any fun like I did. But these Jedi are really startign to annoy me with the I dont wanna PVP line- if they dont want to they dont have to. that means use a laser rifle if you dont have to use the saber.
One...no matter what unless the Jedi wants to PVP with you, you are wasting said Jedi's time. here is why. There is nothing in it for the Jedi to stay and fight you. NADA. Dojedi get a loot drop when they kill a BH? Nope. All Jedi get is a loss of XP if they lose and nothing to gain if they win.
Except if you are me...*Grin* take my mission and say I don't want to pvp...I would lead you all over tatooine or what ever planet you are on and every time you pull a bike it goes Kaboom. One BH lost about 6 bikes before he gave up. Works like a charm and makes my day.

It's not a Jedi's job to PvP, though. It's a Jedi's job to stay alive. A smart Jedi would hide or cloak. A smart bounty hunter would track him down.

Currently, Jedi says "OH DAMN IT! Now I have to fight for 1 hour+ and I have a date in 30 mins!*"
Jedi either
A) Runs to safety
Wich brings the problems with the BH saying "Come on out Jedi f4g!!1, Im hare to KILL U!!11", the Jedi logs and BH has to get another mark.
B) Jedi fights
Wich brings that one of them lose, if the BH dies, all happy, no one lose nothing and we all con continue with our lives.
If the Jedi dies, BH gets paid, he is happy, Jedi is mad because he has to grind again.

I say all jedis like this be transported to that new planet in the expansion and get perma stuck on there with no star port or ship terminals. See how long they survive.
funny, all I saw was a "BH" crying..I was ready to beat that mean jedi and he wouldnt fight..stamp feet...its not fair..
UBER against all NPC's and Critters?? I will play my BH over my Jedi any day.
