Thread: what now?

Last weekend I made master commando! What a grind! Anyway I have only been playing SWG for about a month and my goal was to make master commando and now that I have acheived this goal I do not know where to go from here. What is there to do now that I am a MC? I plan on unlocking the force deal but I do not think that I will head down that road. Do you have to give up skill points to do the FS thing? I have a lot of medic and scout skills that I use often. If anyone could give me some ideas of what to do now I would appreicate it! Thanks

Your other prof?
Best thing to do while you can is go onto the test center and use the blue frogs to experiment with the different templaes.

What happens to the millions and millions of credits worth of buff packs, stims, and the components to make them that are currently in the game. I have literally millions of credits worth of meds or med components that are about to be nullified. I have a 12 point crafting suit that cost me millions. What is going to happen with this stuff. I feel extremely anxious about the possibility of losing a fortune that took playing from day one to accumulate.
Before you go and give me the whole "awww poor baby your rich from over a year of selling buffs at the starport", know this. I have never sat out there buffing people for money. I am a doctor that serves my guild and my friends. I've never made a profit from my profession. I am afraid of losing what I have come by through my own gameplay through doing missions and selling loot, not by gouging the community.
As I see it all docs stand to lose their entire stock and all the money it took to come by that stock. Please tell me this is not so. For the love of everything sane tell me this is not so. I've stuck with this game sice servers went live and never thought of quitting regardless of all of the other shortcomings. This is something that brings those thoughts to mind

I'm going to save myself the trouble and money and cancel my doctor account. Based on the info I've read about the combat update it's a no-brainer. I actually feel a little sick to my stomach over what I've seen/heard. I think it's pretty lame.
Maybe doctors will be able to make some money after the update but personally I'm not willing to give SOE another account. I've been waiting for info on the combat update for a long time now and I'm really unimpressed.

No items will be nullified. TH said any items in the current system will be converted to just as useful items in the new system. Just like weapons and armor will be converted over. Just wait for more details on the new pharmaceuticals and how the conversion process will affect Doctor items. No need to cause a riot with so little info known.

If resourcesand subcomponents that doctors have are made so they can't be used (useless after the CU) then I think SOE have taken something away from us, its like taking away credits from us, or saying it like this 'You have more credits than anyone on the server' so they take it away, it feels like that right now for many doctors who craft

At the time I posted this there was no such information. Only after the community had a collective heart attack did they answer a few of the more popular concerns. I'm still very unhappy with what their doing with Docs, and TH never made mention of components, just finished meds. I have alot of components waiting for production when I get a spawn of the required resources for the rest of the product. I'm sure it will be addressed. Right now I'm of a "Wait and see how my game play is affected then make a decision." frame of mind. I hope they'll put it on TC for a little while before release so I can get a feel for things and make an educated decision on any template changes or future plans.

This was the plan all along. First will be Alpha testing (sandbox), then CU Beta, and then when the NDA is lifted completely, the CU will go to Test Center. Not sure how the testing of the Wookiee expansion fits in there, though....

I wouldn't worry about current meds being useless, I hear weapons will be retro-nerfed so im sure meds will be the same. The only thing that keeps me from running off buffpacks and selling themis im afraid I won't be able to get all I need before the combat revamp, and I hear buffs won't be needed to pvp anymore, and if pve can also be done without buffs, they probably won't be in that high of demand.

seriously i cant do anything
i cant try out my saber in pvp cus im still pady
i cant grind i dont even get xp at all!!!!!
i cant get better crystals cus im too weak
i cant do decent dmg at all cus my crystals suck
i cant use specials cus each one takes about a 20% chunk (or more) from my force bar
wat the hell am i supposed to do?! this is the first time ive seriously considered giving up
...my conclusion?? the devs hate us... acutally utterly depise sounds much more true padawan grind is completely destroyed
devs,,, get your act together before its too late

First they promised us a better game....
Until recently I actually believed that the CU would be good.
Can't SOE see how we all are pissed off at this "upgrade"?
Kissing SOE's ass and just silently tolerate this won't change anything.
So, what are we to do now?
Organize protests against the curb?
Even now that it is live, I can't believe how horrible it is, and I've canelled my accounts, I see no hope..
