if /duel is an exploit or a bug.....riddle me this: why was text created specificly for this situation that appears nowhere else in game?
Answer this simple question: The /duel command should be used when...
A) You want to fight someone, or
B) You don't want to fight someone
If you answered A, you're correct! If you answered B, you're a Jedi! (And also a moron...)
So now that we've established that the purpose of the /duel command is to willingly enter into combat with someone, we can conclude that using the /duel command for any other purpose is utilizing it in a manner contrary to its intent... aka, an exploit.
If the Devs intended it to be a command that would let the Jedi tell who has their mission, they'd just give you some kind of Force sense, rather than twisting an existing gamemechanic around to the opposite of its intent.
you still didnt answer the question.

wrong duel exploit ... im talking about the one where grinding jedi groups keep open DUELS on each other so when the BH comes ... they can DB each other .... to obstruct the BH's mission ... and YES obstructing ANOTHER'S gameplay by using game mechanics in ways they arent intended to be used in, isknown as .. "exploiting" .
k thx
first off, that's not something I would do, or assist someone else in doing, however...if it's not harassment to follow people around when they know you are there and your cover is blown, justifying it by saying "it's my job"...then it is just as acceptable to deathblow anyone at anytime for any reason whatsoever.
truth is...it is harassment to lurk, and it's just as shady to have another individual DB you to avoid a BH loss

harassment is NOT something that can be thrown out into the open if someone follows simple steps ... the fact is harassment is a value judgement on TONE ... the tone or the CIRCUMSTANCES ofthe encounter ... if someone punches me first and i punch them back .. i can not be cited for harassment ...
hence the situation here ... the jedi used an exploit to waste the time of the bounty hunter and obstruct his play ( whether you like it or not player bounties are an INTENDED game play mechanic )... hence the BH hung around his mark ....for another attempt at his mission or possibly towaste up some of the jedi's time as well to make things even...
so no THIS IS NOT HARASSMENT .. this is known as " eye for an eye" ... .. if the jedi wastes the BH time first ... by using an exploit to escape the consequences of an intended game play mechanic .. when the BH wastes the jedi's time back .. how can you possibly call that harassment?

right there, when you said "or possibly to waste up some of the jedi's time as well to make things even" THAT IS MOST DEFINATLY HARASSMENT.....the ability to pull player missions is not a license to "waste up some of the jedi's time" it is simply a privelage that allows one to face challenging encounters (the most dangerous game if you will) with high payouts, just as roleplaying an evil character does not make hatemongering, use of obscenities, virtual assault of a sexual nature, etc. acceptable....a player bounty missiondoes not make harassment acceptable.
let me make this clear....taking a mission, attacking, and killing an opponent is not harassment.....however, anything that is intendedSOLEY to disrupt the gameplay or advancement of ANY character IS harassment....it all goes to intent. I'm not going to defend the DB by a friend, but it is no excuse to drop to their level or lower.

so by your definition the fact you have been following me around the forums arguing every post of mine is harassment eh? see i dont see it that way ... i actually could care less ... to each his own .. if someone tends to bother me ( which never happens i usually laugh at their feeble attempts) i can always use IGNORE ..
i agree if someone hasnt done anything to spur the contact then following a player is harassment .. i agree if its done repeatedly its harassment ...but on this one occaision .. where the jedi exploited the BH ... its not harassment ...its called " be ajerkwho plays cheapand get treated like a jerk who plays cheap"..
and again .. the JEDI was the first to use unintended gameplay to destroy the bounty hunters mission ... i consider THAT harassment ...
if you jedi cant handle the player bounty system ... i have a few words for you to live by and they are very simple to follow :
DONT PLAY JEDI !!!!!

Better /report the devs then for making kashyyyk untrackable bringing in XP loss, and making jedi 1.5x as powerfull as BH, making tactics necesary.

Yes I caught him earlier this evening, same group and same area grinding away. Since I knew what they did last time I waited a little longer until he got incapped 2 times quickly by the lair, then while he wasrunning off to let the timer run down (his group had the agro).I hit him with his third incap and collected my180k . Put that chapter to rest, decided to go to NPCs for awhile to de-stress and ended up lootinga +9 ranged defense/+12 rifle accuracy AA.
Well that is definately harrassment, depriving some poor afk loot camper of their main source of income. Its bad enough that the devs add loot to BH NPC marks without you going and looting a tape that you should have to pay a Jedi for.
You must really have a grudge against Jedi, hunting them AND looting your own skill tapes pfft - griefer!!!!!

To me you wasted time, I would have thrown up a seeker found him if he was in a safe house, dumped the misison and moved on, time is money, I don't bother with jedi in houses, cloakers some will fight, other don't want to they run, to many jedi on the terminals to waste allot of time onone.
Yay....A real BH.
