It all comes down to the fact that you consent to play a Jedi before you unlock...thefore you consent to be hunted and lose xp. "Forced PvP" died with the TEF system when overts could nail coverts doing missions and stuff.

If you dont want to PvP, dont play your Jedi. Jedi is a PvP class and always will be.

in the start Jedi could defend themselves very well but over the last several months one thing or the otherthey are about as good as every body else nothing special no reward for the risk.

Sounds to me like you are crap at pvp because when I hunt a Jedi I usually loose, not that im crap im just not great either.

There is no question that Jedi are more powerful than other combat professions in all ways.

Its complainers like you who ruin this game, it could be so much more fun but people like you are always complaining and it results in fun parts of the game being removed.

Just go away

/sigh

It gets old that so many players seem to treat the entire BH/ Jedi system as though it is some form of bug or exploit and was not intentionally designed by the developers specifically to make Jedi a pain in the arse profession to play.

There are 35 other professions in the game. They are not subject - by design - to the bounty system.

Whyis that so d@mn hard to understand?

I dont think they will ever get it

One thing I notice is that it tends to be grinding Jedi who come in here and moan. Once they get to nearly full temp they tend to go quiet and a fresh batch comes in with the next phase.

Rules of Conduct

By all means we want to encourage you to play your role, we just cannot allow that role-play to be done at another customer's expense.

From what I've experienced that may be what they have written up but SOE cares nothing about enforcing that policy or they have an awfully slim policy of what is "another customer's expense".

The thing is "at another customer's expense" is defined/decided by SOE and NOT the PLAYER.

Try filing a ticket that the Ancient Krayt you had worked on for 45 minutes (pre-CU) version was swooped in and taking by a group of Jedi's. They could give a crap. They'll tell you about the Play nice Policy...weeeeeee

Yes I'm a Jedi....I guess I've been lucky that I've had cool BHers come after me.....I've lost and lost XP

But in the end I harbor more hate for the Jedi's that used to do that garbage to us "because they could" on a regular basis.

Dont forget that when you are being hunted we are enhancing your roleplaying experience, not taking away from it. You chose a proffession that had being hunted as part of the content. If we were to stop hunting the you could say we were taking away from your fun.

BadKarma, yeah I know a few people that do nothing in SWG but log in their Jedi and stand around starports or farm Necrosis all day and some don't even have a completed template alt yet after 6 or so months of being unlocked or never logging in their alt, some even use their Jedi as a mayor of a city or such.

I don't know about you but I log in my non Jedi chars far far more often, once the Jedi is completed there's almost nothing left to do other than to PVP which I don't enjoy all that much anymore other than randomly picking out a Jedi mission to up my payroll when I'm going broke.

I don't have a Jedi. I don't want a Jedi. I don't LIKE the Jedi in SWG and, honestly, Jedi never was my personal draw to the Star Wars franchise in the first place.

Jedi struck me as something of a footnote in the SW saga, and a pretty silly one at that. Mystical warriors who engage in some of the most overdramatized and petty squabbles I've ever seen - enlightened my hind end.

I personally believe that, since the inception of the holocron craze, the face of this game was and will forever be marred by the inclusion of Jedi as a playable profession - but they're here and there's nothing to be done about that now.

On the flip side, I can at least enjoy there presence to a limited degree by spicing things up and playing a profession that currently is their antithesis... Bounty Hunter.

Should Bounty Hunter be the antithesis of Jedi? No, I personally don't think so. I think if you wanted to have player Jedi in this timeline (not that they've even tried to adhere to the timeline since the hologrind was introduced) it should have been setup so that ALL player Jedi were declared enemies of the empire - yes even Dark Jedi by virtue of competition.

Should you be running from Bounty Hunters? No, you should be running from Imperial Inquisitiors, Darth Vader and even Mara Jade (or how about Lumia? Anyone remember her?)... if they catch you and kill you, it should be permanent - start over. Period.

Alas, that's NOT the system the developers put in place. We have the bounty system instead, and that's not a glitch or a bug or an exploit - it is as designed. It is a system every Jedi player knew about before they unlocked, it's a system the developers built in and knowingly made every Jedi subject to. They did this for a reason that doesn't boil down to some childish tirade about how the "devs hate Jedi" or any other infatile drivel.

Furthermore, I am a Bounty Hunter, nota Bounty Brawler. If I don't charge in guns-a-blazing and try to go toe to toe with a profession that should be able to (and in the hands of an adept player CAN) wipe the floor with me, it's not "dishonorable" and it's not an exploit. If I lie in wait for you to be at your weakest, that's to my credit for playing intelligently. It's to my credit for having the patience to actually hunt. How many deer ever even know their being stalked until they hear the gunshot that ends their life? That's what hunters do.

I didn't choose to play the hunted, I chose to player the hunter. I didn't choose to subject myself - knowingly - to a system wherein I could loose experience. Jedi did. Period - end of story. The reason that the developers created this system was intentionally to stunt your progression as a Jedi. Get that through your head. They're not going to instate punishments or losses for Bounty Hunters that fail to take out there marks because their not trying to stunt our progression - they're trying to stunt yours.

~ Wow, guess I had a lot on my mind. It all just sort of came out there - and SpunkyKuma, that really isn't directed at you, it's directed at the players who don't seem to understand the system or it's purpose. Once I got going, it just sort of took off on it's own. =\

Thank you
