Thread: Friends DBing exploit
Jedi come out to meeet me cuz they know im there.. .. I dont say "oh you know im here so I dont have suprise I have to go".. ..no I say do what you need and lets do this.. ..
If you get dropped take your death like a real warrior and if you kill him then kill him just the same.. ..You were dueling thats your own mistake for being so arrogant.. ..
Taking advantage of something that I don't see as being "intended" may not be an exploit but spamming offer ride was the same thing.. ..now thats fix'dddd.. ..
If you dont wanna die stay off the terms.. ..Otherwise if you get beaten take your death and show some respect.. ..there can still be honor among oppenents whether I win or lose I always congratualte jedi on good things they did even if they throw the hate tells.. ..

I am the bounty hunter. This was an exploit.Every time I go to this area of Lok I have trouble with you guys. You're all abusive!! I was watching you for a good five minutes beforeIstruck you, and you weren't dueling anyone! If you were, they certainly weren't doing any damage to you. You and your friends were spamming me with group invites, and doing anything you could to stop me from killing you. Ive lost all respect for anyone from that area as this is not the first time its happened. Irarely have trouble with other jedi. I only ever seem to have trouble when I go to "mos timothy V" on Lok. Ive had many fights, and have killed full templates. If you ask me youexploiters and cheaters spoil the game!!
PsI wantthat 220k Thank you
Fixed your mistakes.
A bug has to exist first to be able to exploit it. No bugs were exploited only a duel system that was working as intended.
QFE
BH steals DB from other overts in a PvP battle= perfectly good tactics
BH has DB stolen from him = Exploit
do you hear how hypocritical this sounds?

No, what he is saying is that the act of the db from his buddy was the exploit. His buddy could have /endduel at anytime, yet he did not. Plus, you don't "accidently" db someone.
And the BH could have dropped the mission at anytime, yet he did not.
Orif the BH did get the db, he was then exploiting the /duel by stealing the db....

Having some trouble wrapping my mind around your logic there. BH shows for the mission and see's a duel is happening, so he should drop the mission? That's not just stupid, that's plain retarded. His buddy threw the db on him just to screw the BH out of his victory, no other reason. In the Jedi vs. BH system we have here, the goal of the BH is to kill the Jedi and it is the goal of the Jedi to survive, not prevent XP loss through improper use of game mechanics.
This is not really surprising though. Jedi find a way to bend the rules through loop holes in the system, and then call it good tactics or "working as intended", then the BH's complain, and the jedi call them nubs and the flames begin. It truly is a tiring process.
Any time ANYONE uses bug or bad game mechanics to get an advantage over others is lame.
And there is a difference between a BH snaking a db from someone in a duel or pvp as opposed to someone snaking it from a BH-jedi fight. In the fight it is being done just to cheat the BH that worked his ass off fighting the jedi, simple as that. In a pvp or duel situation, it is good use of the situation,Jedi as a whole ar emore powerful than other classes. You have to remember the sole purpose behind the BH profession is to make life difficult for the jedi, who by definition are a rouge class, they are not"supposed" to exsist, that is why they get hunted.
The reason there are so many complaints about jedi exploiting, is that it looks like they are the worst offenders, there are people in every class that exploit, or that have exploited, need I remind people about 2,3, and 4 times sliced weapons? So it is not just the Jedi, it just seems that way.
Boils down to this, anytime one side finds a way to make thier life easier, it is called tactics by them, and the other side will call cheat, cowardness or exploits. Same thing happens in PvP. It will not change. The only way for it to change would be a radical shift in the mindset of the player community. I would hold my breath, but I would rather not die from oxygen starvation kthanx.
There are people everywhere that think nothing of exploiting a system, they think they deserve more than they have and when the see a chance to get it they take it, and the consequences be damned. That is the mind set of a unfortuneatly large part of the player community, not the largest part, but bigger than I am happy to see.
In the end it boils down to if the bug is game breaking, and who cries the loudest about it. Is there a person here who doesnt think that the Jedi hunting ability being moved was not a result of jedi complaining about hybrid templates being way to hard for them to beat? Not that I am complaining, I always thought thats where it should be, but not everyone thinks like I do.
Too many people think that by having a full template jedi that they should get an I win button. And they are the ones that cry the loudest once they figure out it is not that easy, however that is no excuse to abuse the games mechanics.
Yes this was a long post. Cliff notes are as follows.
People cheat, it sucks, but theres two things you can do, cheat them right back, or raise yourself above them and remember that you are better than they are.
Oh and the squeaky wheel is the one that gets the grease, ever wonder why the SWG commercials show soo many jedi? They think that is what everyone wants to be. I'll play Jedi outcast for my jedi experiance thanks very much, more fun that way.

db a friend to avoid him fs xp los is an exploit, IMHO. It s not RP, don t forget we play a MMORPG.
Do you DB when you duel a friend? i guess no. By doing this you just want to avoid XP loss due to game rules appliance. You cheat.
If we accept it, all jedis will start a duel session before moving outside. If a BH is about to kill one after a long fight, mate will terminate is friend.
BH TEF should end a duel. But flag does exist only if jedi attacks bh. So i don t see any solution to delete this exploit.....
actually if u send croven a tell ingame he'll tell ya i do db him every now any then in duels
